- "I don't want you to leave. I want you to dig." In honor of Kevin Costner's birthday and the launch of our new UA-cam channel, we're throwing it back to this epic moment from season 3. Don't mess with John Dutton.
#Yellowstone #ParamountNetwork
Yellowstone is a drama series that follows the Dutton family, led by patriarch John Dutton (Kevin Costner). The Duttons control the largest contiguous ranch in the U.S. and must contend with constant attacks by land developers, clashes with an Indian reservation and conflict with America's first national park.

Remember the biker brawl that led to this moment? Watch the clip here: ua-cam.com/video/h8-SnYHO27g/v-deo.html
this show is such a cringe show it is hard to treat it seriously, like bikers who instead of going to "saloon " chose to sleep in the middle of nowhere under naked sky
@@veritasaequitas2386 Did you watch the fight scene? The bikers weren't sleeping there - they just stopped to party, drinking beer, and messing up John Dutton's property. They took that route to get to some biker get together or something.

"If I did this to your home, what would you do?" Such a simple question and yet most criminals never asked themselves.
To be fair, they wrecked all of their bikes and literally beat them with a metal pipe. They didn't need to escalate the situation so drastically. Looks cool on TV but psychotic when you really think about it
@@Crest28 Would be a tame response in Central Texas.
@@Crest28 All the bikers had to do was not destroy private property and not trespass. Doing those two simple things could have avoided all of this.
@@Drewski1290 Rip literally wrecked all their bikes with his truck vs them cutting 3 barbed wires on their fence isn't even close. Them attempting to burn the land was absolutely wrong yet the bikers were right in 1- they were keeping to themselves and 2- they didn't do any property damage until Rip wrecked their bikes. Looks cool on TV but if people acted like this in real life but wouldn't play out that way in reality. Dutton acts like it's still medieval age where people can lay seige to your land and you can just kill anyone who even slightly comes on
@@Crest28 In real life if he was that big a land owner he owns the Sheriff, and probably the State Attorney, and maybe even the higher officials for his State, so if he shot them for trespass he would not be held accountable.

It is all the subtle things that Costner so wonderfully brings to his character.
Like when he says the one liner about the biker’s kids: “they’d be better off without you.” (03:14).

In this scene I’m on Dutton’s side (even though my family and I live in ca), but his ability to dish out natural justice is such a refreshing thing to see (esp in a time where big cities are so soft on crime)
Great scene my other with Kevin Costner is in The Guardian. When he and Auston Kutcher go back to the bar and the one Navy guy says "Is that your dad"? 😅

John Dutton is a fictional character. We do have people like him in real life. They're called gangsters. Do we really need more gangsters?
@@cdjhyoung you really didn't understood this show and how life work around you if you think they are gangsters. Like is not black and white.
@@viking6985 I understand that this is a work of fiction that plays on the Great American Western manly man mythology. Watch an episode of the Sopranos and then one of Yellowstone. Then explain to us what the differences are in the murders committed. I like Yellowstone as fiction. There is nothing here I 'don't understand'. If this were real life, there are only two characters that don't belong behind bars. But it is fiction, so enjoy.
@@cdjhyoung Not fiction actually. In a lot of states, the Castle Law applies to one's land as well as their house. So it's not murder since Dutton would have killed them on his own property. Sure the law would investigate, but he'd be protected by the Castle Law. And as far as I know about Montanna's Castle doctrine, it clearly states that one can use force to protect one's home or place of business. In the case of the Dutton's and Ranchers in general, the entire land is their place of business as cattle roams the entire ranch... The fact that he was there to witness the bikers showing up with gas cans and he legally had them confirm that their intentions was to burn the property, he was in his legal right to use lethal force to protect his home and place of business. So yeh the fact you think they're gansters for doing this clearly shows that viking6985 is absolutely right and you don't know how life works. Maybe it's where you're from and maybe you live somewhere where the laws on lethal force are non-existent cause I recognize that there are countries where lethal force is not a legal option, but in the good ol United States of America we got laws that fully allows us to kill a mother fucker for threatening our lives, our loved ones lives, and our home...and yes....even when you go to a class that's run by a cop they specifically tell you, "You don't shoot to wound, you shoot to kill."
When the tactical lights come on, John’s expression changes and his eyes fill with menace. Solid work by Costner.

This one and mowing down the bikes are 2 of my favorite scenes in this series ( there are so many)
Omg, I can't wait for season 5, anything Kevin Costner is in is pure gold. I love all the actors in this show. What a fantastic scene and show!!!
Agreed that John Dunbar Charlie Wade is EPIC
Lol not so much a webbed toed Protector of An Expensive Golden Child. Whups. A Rogue Mailman?? Perfect.
Just finished season 4 this show is by far the best right now
Must i remind you of waterworld?
@@johnredcorn2476 😳 that’s what I said 3 comments up, I just didn’t pour salt on Mr. Costner’s costly wound, sir
“We keep our word in this valley” …. doesn’t keep his word and let’s them leave lol
I think that was the plan but then they took so long digging and the sun started to come up, and John was worried someone might drive by and see what they were doing. Just a theory though.
Dam straight. 😂
Just makes them dig their own grave shitting their pants. I think he won...
Sure didn't keep his word ...
I reckon it was to scare the shit out of them, the thought of dying while digging your own grave will scar the toughest of people, he didn't want to kill them he just wanted to make sure they didn't come back
Just like A Bronx Tale's classic line.... "now yous can't leave".
Once this show grabs you, it will not let go
Loved this entire scene. And also the ones preceding it, where Rip just rams the bikes and then walks into the gang of bikers with no fear.
The bikers didn't have guns for some reason.
@@mealtimewarrior7916 one did but was too scared to shoot rip
@@mealtimewarrior7916 they did, but it was too late.
@@zeqot2311 don’t shoot Rip you’ll just make him mad.
So why don’t they just leave, get a tiny penalty and collect bank for their bikes. Rip is undocumented lol. Basically a slave
Man said if you didnt leave we'd bury you here, you didnt leave! We keep our word in this valley... Freakin awesome line! Costner one of the all time greats and Hauser are the powerhouse duo of the entire series, cant wait to see what season 5 brings!
But they DIDN'T bury them. That's woke Montana for you; in Wyoming they would have.
@@dr.d5920 you're obviously overthinking it
@@tommyb8374 better to overthink than not think at all.
@@dr.d5920 its a tv show...its ok
Would have been better if he actually kept his word.
I love this scene so much he put the fear of god in all of them
This scene is so good it gives me chills
We aren't giving Taylor Sheridan enough credit, he's the mastermind. All the actors are great but Sheridan is epic.
Sicario great movie
Wait that's the guy who wrote (and Directed) Wind River -- oh my god
@@IrregularPineapples Except that movie was absolute garbage.
@@FirstLast-yc9lq one of the best movies ever made* there fixed~
Don't forget Hell or High Water!
This is a lesson for the real world. Never mess with another man's land
"We keep our word in this valley."
No matter what, when it comes down to it a man's word is all he has.
And then he doesn't keep it
Murdering psychopaths aren't real men
There's no way to watch this series without getting hooked. Just one episode and you'll binge watch this show.
It's not that I've never seen this scene in a show before, this has been used as a story vehicle a thousand times. It's that the actors and director really sold it that makes this one good and riviting, good stuff, good stuff.
First time watching this, I guessed outloud he'd say California. Then he said California.
We have that same problem here in Texas.
I’m from Virginia and Californians are real damned problems down here. All of em are health nut douchebags and “ tough” guys
As soon as he said California.....BOOM!
I want you to dig!!!!! Rip and Kevin are excellent!!! Love this show!!! 🐎🐎🐎🐎...
I'm new to the Yellowstone series and I'm enjoying it. Far enough in (started season 3) to understand the premise behind the violence the Duttons are willing to dish out; and it comes from a very old and very real statement. "You only own, that which you can defend."
Watch 1883 and you'll understand why the land is more than just a ranch!
How can you start a show from season 3?smh.
@@minners71 Pretty sure he started from the beginning and was saying where in the show he was currently, starting the third season. Either way, how can you tell someone else to enjoy something? SMH.
I live in Texas and there are a couple large ranches in the area that were small ranches owned by people who couldn't defend them. Land signed over in the early 1900's at gun point.
Hello ma’am, thanks so much and i really appreciate your love and support for my dad’s acting career... Ryland Cole Hauser...God bless💙💕
"We'll leave"
"Now you's can't leave"
I love how Taylor Sheridan rips on SOA with this scene 😂😂😂
I'm from rural MT and the part when he said we don't want you California I understood that soo much 😂
Not just MT. Pretty much all of the US thinks that about California lmao.
Rip warned them to “leave now, or you never leave.” He wasn’t kidding.
But the conundrum is, that they ended up leaving alive anyway?
This is my favorite episode of the series. Proof that you don't mess with the Duttons
Costner is very much like Tom Hanks. He's had the lead role in some of the greatest movies of the past 50 years. A true national treasure.
Great acting, great show led by the incomparable Kevin Costner, who fills this role perfectly.
WHAT A SHIT MOVIES and what a shit acting..... Damn usa is the ass hole of the humanity 😂
