Something I was glad to have were ear plugs. That's more for before the baby is born but my induction took several days/ nights and I had other women snoring really loudly in my room, so I was glad that I had those. Will definitely pack them again for Baby Nr. 2
Student midwife here! Love all your videos ❤ I just wanted to give you a heads up that products with witch hazel and “Spritz for bits” are not recommended as these products tend to break down stitches early and can cause big problems with healing! Wishing you all the best and can’t wait to hear how everything goes for you 🥰
Spritz for Bits is safe to use on perineal wounds which have been stitched. It's approved by registered midwives and is made with a range of ingredients to prevent infection, soothe and promote healing!❤
Thank you so much for this video. Being a first time mom I’m so confused about what to get for the hospital bag. But now I know exactly what to pack ❤lots of love and cuddles ❤
I had my little girl not long after you had George and found all your videos so helpful and now I am due a little boy on 22nd June! Have enjoyed your videos along this journey at the same time again 🥰 good luck with it all xxxxxx
Love the video - so helpful! Maybe a towel to pack too? Preferably black? I’ve secured mine 😂 you may have already said it too, I wouldn’t trust my baby brain with anything right now! 💖
I had my first baby a few months after you and now im pregnant again just few months away 😅 I like the frosted bags too. I kept all my Patpat order ones 😅
I recommend that a baby hospital bag is a knitted hat to put with the first outfit so you can keep the two hats for the hospital stay and and one extra bow for the hospital pictures in the hospital stay and pack a cardigan to put on baby to come home in from the hospital and pack a extra one vest for any blow outs in your hospital stay
Both times the lucozade was my go too. I couldn't eat during labour at all so they really helped. Good luck my 2nd baby was so much quicker than 1st xx
Thank you so much for explaining how to wear the disposable underwear along with the products for soothing as I was quite confused when you were explaining the products (thinking that I would be bleeding so how would I use the spray etc).. but it makes sense :) loved the entire video, as I am starting to pack for my hospital bag.
I found your channel by watching your 'What's in my hospital bag' video when you were pregnant with George. I was pregnant with my little one at the time who's now 2. I'm also almost 15 weeks pregnant now! How crazy haha
Aw I love this so much!! So glad you decided to stick around 🙈 so grateful, can’t believe how different life is now haha! Good luck with the rest of this pregnancy lovely! 🤍
I had orange lucozade sports and I had haribo teddy bears and bounty bars 😂 this time around I’ve got lucozade sports again, m&ms, a bag of mini love hearts and some sweets of TikTok shop how healthy 😂 good luck with everything I hope it all goes well xx
So close now Shan, any day now!! Good luck with everything and wishing you all the best. So excited for you and Ash to meet baby girl and that precious moment of her meeting George for the first time. ❤❤❤
Aaah I’m 25 weeks and love these videos. I’m an Elemis obsessive😅 the rose balm and spray is amazing it’s so calming/soothing and will make you feel so nice 😍
I have two kids and my snack choices were similar to yours. One that I loved loved loved were dates! Sweet, nutritional and easy to eat. Downed the whole bag in 2 hours postpartum :)
Hi Shan :) love watching these videos although my kids are teens now lol. I ended up with an emergency section twice so maybe think about if that happened having extra stuff ready for ash to bring in if needed. I was in for 4 days both times so needed more clothes for baby, more breast pads, maternity pads etc :) Also nursing bras are prob a good idea as you can open it so much easier xx
I'm currently 23 weeks and my dad tried telling me at the weekend I need to sort out my hopsital bag now. I have watched a few videos to see what other people take but we've definitely got plenty of other things to do first. Our baby will be his first grandchild but I think he needs to calm down a little bit haha x
So close Shan ! Im 37+5 with baby number 4, just packed mine and babys bag but watching to compare and get some inspo 😊. Getting twinges so deffo not long to go 😅
i used witch hazel last pregnancy. however, it actually burned me. maybe just sensitive skin and or the 2nd degree tear. But i am 33 weeks with baby 2 and will not use it this time lol.
Aw thank you so much!🙈 and I think technically they say not to have nails on incase you have to be monitored, but I know lots of people that have gone into labour with nails and it’s been fine xxxx
Thank you Shan, this video as well as all your other recent content has been so useful. I’m 24 weeks with my first baby and feel much more prepared for hospital after this. Squashies will be in my snack bag for sure. 😊
I recommend a towel for after the shower because the hospital ones are small and socks or slippers to walk around the corridor and flip flops are a must so your feet don't get dirty because the hospital showers are dirty and wireless headphones to listen to music in labour and your own pillow and blanket to make you more comfortable in the hospital bed and stay and for your toiletries must haves in hospital is face wipes and mouthwash so your breath don't stink and dry shampoo if you don't want to wash your hair in hospital and travel shampoo and conditioner is amazing to pack to make your more fresher after birth and if you change your mind and you want to wash your hair and you didn't have it with you and you will blame yourself
Love your videos 🥰 I’m going to be a first time mum in Feb and finding these so helpful! I’m looking for pjs for the hospital but so unsure what size to get! I’m usually an S 10-12 in Primark, not sure whether to go up to a L or XL. How many sizes did you go up for those shorts pjs? xx
@@Mspowell30 Thank you ☺️ I’m just over 32 weeks now and have a few things in both size M and L - have found I just need to try the things on as sizing can be a little inconsistent 🙈 Also got XL high waisted black pants/knickers for hospital to fit bump and maternity pads, which my friend recommended (also size UK10 with 2 babies)
I recommend it for a postpartum kit for the hospital stay at bringing tucks pads and and Frida mom witch hazel pad liners both of them are you best friend and Frida mom instant cooling ice pads are amazing after birth and always discreet adult nappies are amazing to after birth to fit everything you need in side the adult nappies and after ease drops in water are amazing to help with after birth contractions are brilliant after giving birth
If you're thinking about trying breastfeeding I would get some comfy bras with snaps! I also really liked having a pair of slippers last time, although your slides would likely work as well.
Raspberry Lucozade, Cadburys Brunch Bars and Haribo Yellow Belly Snakes! Although the labour happened so quickly that the food ended up being a post delivery snack 😂
I’ll be packing mine for baby number 2 soon. Will be 35 weeks on Saturday!! 😬 are you feeling nervous/anxious now about going through it all again or just me? X
I have a little feeling this baby might be called Clementine? Probably soooo far off 😂 thank you for this video, it seems like a no nonsense guide! Love your coming home outfit too.. a little luxury! Hope all goes well Shan
So complete newbie here, do you formula feed baby than for first 2 to 3 days if your milk hasn't come in yet?? Is baby still going to take the breast later on if not first introduced to it?😅
I’m not even pregnant but love watching this videos 🤣
Same
I relate to this comment so much😂
Me too 😂 I'm preparing mentally for the future 😂😂 and what to do differently with baby nr 2
Good it’s need for in future

Any other recommendation? Or you mean that type of product in general?

Been looking to find out what other people are packing in their hospital bags and this was super helpful, thank you so much for sharing 🥰
I also recommended a pregnancy pillow and own pillow as well to make you more comfortable in your hospital stay to give you a nice better sleep
Thank you so much for this video. Being a first time mom I’m so confused about what to get for the hospital bag. But now I know exactly what to pack ❤lots of love and cuddles ❤
Don’t forget nursing bras / nursing vest tops (H&M ones are fab) 😊 x

The only thing is I would buy size 0 nappy

Just a heads up i tried to breastfeed my 3rd baby for the first time and because he wouldnt latch on i wasnt allowed out the hospital for 3 days. Xx

One of my favourites that I’m planning on using is aloe Vera gel that has been in the fridge. Heaven 🥹

Get some silver nipple shields.
Saved my life severale times. Especially when starting breastfeeding! 🎉
Nipple shields also saved me! And don’t forget a nursing bra if you’re hoping to breastfeed x
My snacks were protein bars and Haribo tangfastics 😅
What are you doing for feeding your little girl in the hospital if you milk hasnt come in?
Which country are you from? Your accent sounds different
I am only 15 weeks and watching these vedios too much.. why?? Is it helpful?
pack socks :d
80% of these are not even essentials 😂 wtf r u on. Yea while in labour I'll really be needing hair oils n other shit 😂
It’s after labour obviously
