Just to add, do not bring a snow suit with your car seat it is really dangerous to put anything thicker than a light cardigan on baby, anything thicker will prevent the car seat straps from tightening properly this is one of the main mistakes new parents make. If the straps aren’t tight enough and god forbid you’re involved in a collision baby will fly straight out of the car seat, look up “No snow suit in car seat” and look at the before and after of the straps with and without the snow suit
Baby’s shouldn’t wear snowsuits or coats in a car seat. It’s so dangerous and if you have an accident your baby won’t be safely in it’s car seat. Plus they can over heat. Your better off having a cardigan on and then put a blanket over them
No snowsuit they shouldn't be worn in car seats or padded jackets a Cardigan and blanket is plenty ( search why not to put a coat on a child in a car seat it's scary mum of soon to be 7)
We encourage women to go with the intention to breastfeed. If for any medical reasons baby's sugar level drops then the hospital will provide formula for some feeds. Therefore the hospital would expect you to bring your own formula after.
How do you know what baby clothes size to get for your baby? Will the midlife tell us ahead of time?? Sorry this is my first preg and only at 13 week and already look into hospital bag😅
Am 34weeks gone and a first time mum but am really confused about the whole process. I bought a box of new born size 2 diapers but I don't if I should get a size 0 or 1 for hospital pack?
I think it depends on your hospital but I've previously given birth in 2 different hospitals and they've provided towels, both times I've took my own just in case but they've provided towels. Just ask your midwife what they provide and don't or just take a towel incase.
You don’t need to pack breast pads as mothers produce colostrum first 3 days after birth. It’s very rare mothers leak at this stage. Milk properly kicks in generally on day 5. Colostrum is the best thing mothers can offer the baby.
@@confessionsofamidwife that cover breast pads but women still can leak... Appreciate your advocating breast is best... but not everyone can breast feed... so would be wise to mention the need for formula unless it's supplied in usa... it isn't here in UK
Tell us how well you scored on your hospital bag.
This video is very helpful, there are so many videos with overwhelming amount of things to take. Thank you very much

Most babies fit newborn 0-3 months. But you can ask your midwife more details of the baby’s measurements after the scans.
All the best mum.

If your scan is shows baby is average size the size 0 diapers will be fine for hospital pack. Sorry for delayed response.
I useto work with her she is amazing
What about towel?
Normally the hospitals provide towels.
If you're in the UK, hospitals do not provide towels. Take your own.
@@sujinabegum9580 they do provide towels just ask

Formula if not breast feeding..?
