When im home I tend to pour boiling kettle water over my Net & Matt scrub em down, then rinse off, regardless of weather I leave hanging on (my) little washing line.
@aarondavies8486 as long as it's an Aquatic disinfectant and not anything with Bleach, I've seen people use bleach on matts and after when there wet they have burnt the fish...
Fairy liquid. Get the mat and put the nets inside it, few spots of soap and a skoosh of water from the hose, mix it all up with both hands rinse it off and let it dry. Smells nice enough to keep it in the house with the Mrs
I just use disinfectant cheap asda smart price is fine as long as its mixxed properly one cap to 1l of hot water like you said as long as its dried fully its fine

@sifishes I don't use anything with chemicals in incase it sticks and causes any Fish damage.
Mate just get spray disinfectant and long as its dried properly that's all that matters
