The 20 mph speed limits in London are just ridiculous. I’m being overtaken by cyclists. Also, the guy in front wants to drive at 18mph and the Audi/bmw buy behind me wants to do 38 mph. I might just walk next time.
I'm feeling a bit sad now, finally caught up with all the Rory Autotrader videos. Now I'll have to wait for new videos coming though.

Colour schemes a bit meh and grilles still very marmite but love or hate it the body tweaks are decent, looks aggressive.

Pretty much sums it up, def very cool and aggressive, rear lights are pretty dang cool.
But what were they thinking with the colour scheme, it's not ugly, bit it ain't pretty.

The design is so beautiful. Unreal. Perfect. The only, very minor thing, only is the rear-end truck. At the 45-degree angle. Where the truck stick out. It should be more subtle. It really be more sudden. But besides that, I'm in love with the design.
I knew a guy that had an M3 CSL back in 2003.
It had two front seats and a racing roll cage.
It wasn't comfortable, but god damn it was fast!

This car looks downright amazing. So aggressive and the grey makes it look sleek but shows off the details nicely. And the taillights. 😍
Don't even mention the grill, you would have to be blind not to love it.

And a mere 15 are heading to South Africa. Just like M2 CS which also came down here in a few numbers I believe BMW South Africa might as well put all 15 cars on auction like the M2 CS
So they go to all that length to reduce weight, but they keep the automatic gearbox which is heavier, in a car which they say is more for the street than the track?
This lightweight M5 is something else, a true grand tourer 👌

Why the "old" interior? But a fantastic car for sure.
So, it is 1625 kg. e46 csl was 1350 kg. I still think e46 csl with cup 2 R rubber would be very very quick on track compared to todays heavy boats. Even with 200 less hp.

It’s 100kg heavier than than the old M4 GTS, though. Might be a CSL but it’s a heavy car!
GTS is proper track focussed. CSL is never meant to be on the same level as it's still a road car first
I think comparing current and last gen is lil bit stupid… You should compare this with the current m4 comp that’s where the difference matters… we are not going backwards, cars are getting bigger and bigger it’s called growing up. Even f1 cars get heavier with new gen.
1600kg is heavy for a lightweight product but it's still lighter than some sportscars and supercars.

Aventador weighs 1731-1853 depending on the model.
All of these are more than the AMG GT63.

Beautiful car but can you not start to get so much more than a BMW fancy M4 for 130k Porsches spring to mind along with Mercedes AMG gt. Please tell me there is something more that I am missing

But because the grill is only obviously open at the top half and not the lower half, it's not as eye sore as the other one.
It is faster than the M5cs on the ring…which is ultimately actually almost 2 seconds slower than an M4 Xdrive comp 🥴. Put some cup 2 R’s on the Xdrive and a piggy back tune and there shouldn’t be much in it at all. Kind of disappointing

Just put on some Cup 2R's on that M4 Competition xdrive and give it to their factory driver for a day, a much better laptime will be recorded.
By modern standards the performance is is quite good but not earth shattering. I still like it. Not that lightweight though
All I need to know is that only 1000 will be build and I will never be able to afford one.. Most will end up as garage queens in collections of very wealthy car-enthusiasts..
I still don't understand how somebody could spend over £130k on a 4 series, especially when that's in high end Porsche territory. Bit of a no brainer really.

CS stands for computer science...
The meaning of these acronyms changes with time, BMW M use to stand for Motorsports but post E92, BMW M now stands for Marketing. Old school BMW are the only BMW that I like all these computerised new car that are faster that a fighter jet lacks soul, character and charm of the ultimate driving machine era of BMWs.

I understand if someone will buy it, because it’s rare or he just likes it for some reason. But for driving pleasure of lightness, get a lotus, a Caterham.
Even a 718 GT4 RS, which will be rare too, it’s lighter, faster, louder and cheaper with a guarantee for driving pleasure.
I don’t see the sense of M4 CSL, it is maybe a more show of type of car.
But at the end everybody to his own wishes.

@@Dank-One I think my real problem stems down to the fact that the M4 looks like an aggressive 4 series as it should….but the M3 has the 4 series face…. What’s wrong with the G20 3 series? That face would have looked amazing as an M3
@@skullft7731 Yeah that's true. I still like the look but, as you said, the 3 series face on M3 would've made more sense. I actually recall being confused about that when the M3 was revealed lol.
@@Dank-One You’ll probably disagree with me on this as you quite like the new designs but I think the reason they went with giving them the same face is because of how marmite the M4 face is. If the M3 had the G20 3 series face they would have sold very little M4s compared to M3s

With electric cars getting more common, that have the same power and more for a better price, this is feeling very outdated. Like the End of an Era.
