If you wanna catch big carp in Champlin Mn there is a pond right off 169 we call it the Mill pond it has a dam that dumps into the rum river. We fished right off the dam into the pond side and use to catch absolute monster carp im talking 20+ pounders frequently
You know, after watching this video, I Google Mapped it and I am confused on how to even get there. The road get cut off at 6th Street isn't it, or do you park at the Dog Park and make your way down? This is the type of current I love to fish.
Nice fishing video my man! Cool carp catches

The first time we went we scaled the cliff but then realized the road closer to the dam is entirely open and you can drive right down
Is it legal to fish here? ?Or u guyy trespassing?
Is this st Anthony falls?
I used to fish there all the time. I thought it was closed. Cops was called on us and it was my last time fishing there
I'm surprised that spot dont have white bass usually areas like that have white bass because of all that current
Maybe it does we didn’t fish it for them 🤷♂️
It does. Lots
@@masterxiong7368 is this the Ford dam? It's the only dam I know that looks like this
Do they still got the police surveillance over there last time I went they were there?
Yeah but its there in case a crime takes place not so that you can’t fish
Where is this and how did you get there?
I was thinking this same thing. I never release carp since they’re invasive.
Pinch the barb if you fish trebles. Easier on the fish and way less painful to remove from your hand.
Feed those carp to a cat. I live North East, Mpls.
Carp are fun to catch.. but I'll die before I ever eat one, smoked or not. Period.
When I use to fish for carp it was illegal to throw them back in the river. They are an invasive species. Might want to check on that.
