Sonic 3 & Knuckles completed with Tails. Interestingly, the authors of this run, Aglar ( tasvideos.org/Users/Profile/A... ) and marzojr ( tasvideos.org/Users/Profile/m... ), utilized a disassembly of the game in order to squeeze the most out of every trick used.

for the people who don’t know what a tas is, it means tool assisted speedrun, basically a bot playing the game, and for people new to speedrunning, there are mainly 4 categories, Any%, Any% glitchless, 100%, and 100% glitchless, the glitch used at hydrocity zone is called a screen wrap, read the title again and it didn’t say glitchless, so a screen wrap and other use of glitches are allowed in the run
and i know there are comments being like “I AIN’T READIN ALLAT”

I also saw a weird 60fps jump some point in the video. Or i guess, 40fps. And jt happened during one of the final zone skips. Is that supposed to happen? Is it normal?

Looks like a screen wrap, but with the entire level.

@@AkaiAzul It's called zipping. Where you go so fast off screen backwards that the game thinks you're at the end of the level. Best example would be Star Light Zone 2.

It’s not possible to do a incredibly fast Spindash like in the video because it’s a TAS run (basically a bot is playing the game)
