I live in Florida and have all my life. My best friend was from TerreHaute Indiana. The first time I saw the changing of colors was1987. I was in heaven! I have never seen anything so beautiful in my life. So every October, Indiana And fall leaves along with Octoberfest became my vacation time. Persimmon pudding, pumpkin fudge. Wonderful memories. Covid took her in 2020. So those days are over but the wonderful memories will last forever. The orange is my favorite color of leaves.
After reading the comments, I'm a bit hesitant to say that West Texas has only summer and winter; and because rainfall is usually sparse, we have wind and dust, lots of dust, year round. You can understand why pictures of fall foliage are magical to me. 🍁🍂 So anxious to see your Halloween decorations! 👻
I grew up along the Pennsylvania-New York border and agree the brilliance of the trees is breathtaking. I was married outside in an October forest. I then spent 30+ years near (warm) Va Beach because of my husband's career. Upon retirement we decided to move back to NY winters. Sure enough, a few months later I slipped on black ice and broke my ankle. Now three surgeries later, I've been out kicking and crunching leaves while wearing a brace and perpetually limping. Your videos have shown that we must not live life from the side lines. I appreciate your candor and exuberance. Know that you make a difference. Thank you!
It’s beautiful here in the Lake District, United Kingdom. We live by the sea and near the Great Lakes, surrounded by water and breath taking mountains. Moved to here just for the scenery. Loving our first Autumn (fall) in our new home. I go for my immunotherapy treatment at a local cancer hospital every 3 weeks which is working well on my lungs at the moment (metastatic melanoma stage 4) You are such an inspiration to me Nicole. I love seeing your life with your wife in Chicago and your superpowers and shitting rainbows. We are fookin unicorns aren’t we. Much love, xxx
We were just up visiting family in Minnesota two weeks ago. Minnesota is where I grew up, now I’m in the disgusting state of Florida and have been since 1984. Oh it was so great to be at home. The colors were just as brilliant as the picture you put up at the end. Pioneer Park in Stillwater Minnesota, where I grew up, never disappoints in Fall. Also, there is a park in Edina Minnesota That literally blows me away. It’s on a lake, and the trees in the fall are absolutely spectacular! I really miss the seasons. It was the most amazing trip even with the glitches. I like to talk to strangers, and there was a young couple sitting in a park in Hudson Wisconsin while we were there, so I went up and talked to them. Now I have a new Facebook friend named Noah. He’s in his early 20s. We really hit it off. And another amazing thing happened this year: my sister who is one year younger and hadn’t spoken to me in at least five years, came to breakfast at the restaurant where the rest of my family was. And when I left she hugged me and said she loved me too. I can’t tell you what this trip meant to me; however, I did come home with Covid which I must’ve picked up on the plane because no one up north got it, and luckily my husband didn’t get it, but I have been sick for two weeks now. I don’t even care because the trip was so important and so precious. And oh the trees- They were definitely celebrating with me. And we went to an apple orchard. The best apple orchard around: Pine tree apple orchard in White Bear Lake. I am so glad that you got to do the things that I did- walk around in nature and celebrate the Fall💕. Living in a 55+ community, there is no Halloween except in my house. I can’t wait to see the decorations you put up this year!
Thank you Sharon for sharing. I love driving through the lacrosse area connecting Wisconsin and Minnesota - simply stunning. Thank you as always for being here Sharon. ❤️💪🏻🌈
You know where I am so you know that the view from my front porch is hundreds of acres of Fall foliage. And yes apple season. Had a gallon of fresh pressed apple cider from an Amish man who had just finished putting his new press together. I love you Nicky and have so many memories of you running and playing until you dropped!
Shirley here, my husband and live in MI and we have driving around all week where there's lots of trees and they are so beautiful. I am so glad u enjoyed the colors and felt healthy u look healthy. Never would guess u had cancer.
I live in coastal NC. We have seasons but they are not as severe as the north or the mountains. I love fall as it is such a break from our hot humid summers.
Our trees on my street are red. Starting to wear my parka as the temperatures dip into the 40s at night. I am all bundled up with my heat on in Palo Alto, California. 🤣 It may be in the 80's tomorrow. Happy to hear of your adventures with your wife. I am stage 4 unicorning too and trying to shit rainbows. Enjoying winter is pushing it a bit. 😁🦄🐩
Oh I love Palo Alto - cuddled up with the heat on sounds so luxurious 🤗 Thanks for joining my rainbow glitter warrior tribe - we will unicorn the fuck out of this life together ❤️💪🏻🌈
Love the Fall Season. That picture you posted of the orange leafed tree was gorgeous. So happy you and your wife were able to have an amazing trip without any cancer issues. As for a song playlist…one of my all time favorite songs that is perfect for listening to while outdoors is ‘Going To California’ by Led Zeppelin. The acoustic guitar is soothing and it always makes me think of those beautiful California mountains. 🙂🌻💯🍁🍂
Hello lovely! We are in SC and have beautiful leaf changes. We are planning a fun Halloween birthday for my son with a bouncy house and pumpkin icecream cake on Monday. It is one of our favorite holidays of the year. I love your skeleton outfit and cap ☺️❤️ What a gorgeous pictureof the trees!!
Great to see you, you are always so inspirational. I'm across the lake, in Michigan. The fall colors have been stunning. And the weather is great, warm for the end of October.
Autumn in Scotland. Mixed weather this week with rain and wind earlier, and sunny today. The trees are colourful here too. My favourite local bike route takes me through tree lined river valleys and up to the heather covered moorlands . Apple cider here is a fermented alcoholic drink. There isn't much of an apple season here, nothing celebrated that I know of anyhow. Winter in Madison sounds fun. You have to work to stay active. It would be so easy in your situation to stay inside and not make the effort. I don't do 'Halloween'. The old pagan practices have been overtaken by a hugely wasteful commercial 'festival' business.
The tea sounds yummy. I'm in Florida but gre up in new Jersey. Miss the change especially the beautiful trees. Our friends from Wisconsin made homemade blackberry splash wine so yummy.whay a great trip ♥️🤗
One of my favorite songs to listen to while riding my bike is "Beautiful Day" by U2...such a breathe of fresh air it brings!! Hope u add it to your playlist..much love 💜💜💜 from the windy city of Chicago's south side.
I’m in Phoenix and we get cactus in bloom. Farther up north wild flowers. You know in one of your videos you said you toured Arizona. Not as pretty as you and in that area. I love autumn and spring. Love your videos and hope your doing good . Look forward to your next video chat🙏👍💕
I marveled at the wildlife in Arizona. I love when you travel from end to end you go through such different landscape from the deserts of Tucson, the red and purple of Sedona, to the pines of Flagstaff. Both Arizona and Utah amaze me in that way - sooooo much diversity ... in topography of course. ❤️💪🏻💪🏻
Exhilarating music might be Vivaldi's Four Seasons... I think Autumn is the cycling downhill one.?? .anything with Allegro in the title. Goosebumps music. xx
excitingly I just got tickets to a candlelight concert hosted in a beautiful church known for its architecture - the string quartet playlist is all Vivaldi 🤗
In Portugal i dont really notice the fall. When i used to be in the Netherlands i can remember that the fall whas also intens. But here in Lisbon i dont really see it yet.
