Elvis and Tom were best friends, due to their mutual fame at the time they knew they were people they could trust and they got along. They didn't sing on tracks together, but I have heard they sang together at concerts. They also sang each other's songs.
This song is about a man who describes his past but wakes up and realises he is dreaming because he's in a prison cell with a prison warden and priest getting ready to be executed
Hi, Did you know in the Green Green grass of Home he gets put to death for killing Delilah (Another one of his songs). Stay safe from Covid-19 to you and your loved ones.
I believe you missed the message. He was to be executed the next day and buried in the green ,green grass of home.A great song that only Tom Jones could do. He actually was living in the recording!
Enough! So many reactions to this song. But it seems all youtubers are not able to speak their own language. Not one unterstod the song. Sry i let my frustration out on you. But the world got too dumb.
Thomas, I gotta go with your comment and agree 100%. I also have to say that this isn't all on you but the meaning of this tune has escaped nearly all of those reacting to it. Has the younger generation been shielded to the way an execution is performed? It's completely ignored in your reaction. We all know his voice is silky and full so it's the meaning of it that you need to include. Now, like Thomas, I have to include and agree with the dumb remark. I suppose school isn't as effective as it once was. (See how I put it on the school? I didn't want to make all of you dumbasses feel too bad)
@@mikeguerrero72 sry to get offensive. Maybe it's a point of cultural heritage. But my point was that it seems to me that most people seem to not care about lyrics nor are able to read between the lines. I am from a younger generation... not the youngest! But this was decedes before my time. But i care about lyrics. Modern pop music has no meaning and sounds all the same. Mechanic. No emotions!
@@thomaskoppel1690 once again, I gotta agree with you. Now don't get me wrong, there are dumbasses in every age group. Most of the time I can't catch all the lyrics in newer songs. After reflection I can see how a younger person would be less familiar with execution since a lot of states don't do that anymore. In Texas it's still in use. The lyrics of a song add so much to well done music added. I hope that younger folks could get inspired by songs from an earlier time. Music can stir human emotion so much. If younger people can understand how that happens by them being affected in the same way, maybe that type of song can come back by them writing new ones. Let's hope so huh?

@ITSJT TV great song but you missed out by doing the live version. The studio version is much deeper. This is a shortened version.
Could you also react to Tom Jones version of the Beatles "yesterday"?
