The Behringer PPG clone will no doubt use the same 3320 as their UB-XA. (That is the Curtis model that was used on the PPG 2.2 and 2.3)

Are you concluding from that quote that Behringer isn't using an analog filter?
Because it handles about firmware it can still be an analog filter. And replicating could very well mean replicating the original chips, as they aren't produced anymore.
Or do you have additional info besides this facebook post?

What I think she meant was that the Analog filter of the wave, used Analog controls and modulation sources for the filters, and Behringer saying the firmware replication to get the original response of the filters, is what they're having trouble with. It should still have the analog filters, it was just worded a little odd.
