for sure, I try not to buy tubs made of this plastic because I can't recycle it in my state but sometimes I end up with them and save them just for this use!

oh dude, a few years back I thought I planted a whole stock tank with asparagus seed, turned out they were onion seeds (look exactly the same) I can't kill the damn things so I'mma gonna have to dump it and start over. I love stock tanks for small beds.
I do similar and also use painted craft sticks. My problem, even though I am retired now, is that I could never read my own bad writing, (I am a eng so taking notes was rough)so I have to either print paper labels and laminate them (tape them) or laser engrave them.
