Quick question. At the beginning right before you add the sesame oil it looks like you’re holding a bottle of hoisin sauce. Did you use any in this recipe? I’m making this right now and was curious.
Ok I just slowed down and paused the video. So yes you are using sesame seed oil from Lee Kum Kee. Purple label red lid. And I have the same brand for hoisin sauce. That’s what threw me off. Great recipe! Now in the list of ingredients for the sauce I think you forgot to add the garlic. Now in the video you have it and the instructions portion too. Just threw me off too.

I do not use ketchup in this sauce, cos it takes away the Sesame flavor and adds a redish color to it. I substitute Oyster sauce instead. It tastes more like Sesame, hence : "Sesame Chicken" (I rather use Ketchup in a BBQ sauce recipe..) try it, you'll see😁
Alright so I was making this rice and I thought I just fry it in a pan and so I didn’t boil it in water first and so it was really hard, it was so funny, so now I got a family story to tell people, like I let me brother try it and my sister and they loved it 😅😂😂😂

I honestly thought the same thing. I’ve never felt a single “kick” from paprika. And the only flavor I’ve got is from smoked paprika. I figured he was mixing up cayenne pepper with paprika

One quick correction. At 1:25 Use about 3 tsp (tea spoons) of franks red hot sauce.

The pan is a 8 inch carote from amazon. Very good pan. Even heat and ceramic nonstick.

Yes plainly add more water or less cornstarch.

No I didn’t add any hoisin sauce. That’s the Kikoman soy sauce bottle.

You can simply use regular sugar if brown sugar isn’t aviable.
