See, as im entirely self taught and never owned a kit this works too well for me 😂 i learned rebound with my palms, even though im pretty much limited to single strokes but its a great thing for someone like me
I guess next step of this technology would be some neural sensors that just play the drums based on your intent so you wouldn't even have to complete the movement with your hands.
Thanks my friend!!!! haven't tried that method but in theory it should work for as long as the motion detection camera is capturing the reflective pads the whole time
That's a great question, the system relays on light being reflected by the pads on your feet and on the head of the drumsticks if that reflexion is interrupted it wont register your hit. In theory it should be possible, I would recommend watching this video to help you understand how the system is set up to get the best results: ua-cam.com/video/DzAzEgB6KdI/v-deo.html
@@bardonmusic ok thanks and well I’m working on a project for my school and I was going to see if he wouldn’t mind assisting me with it? The project relates to foot tapping I was going to see if he had a way to contact him to ask?
@@cjstaten543 Sure he'll love to help. You can send a DM to him on instagram find us @bardonmusic and send a message there, he is waiting for your message.
Yeah it is, but as long as you have a access to a real drum set and use this as an extension of your practice routine as it will perform basically in the same way as the real deal BUT remember that part of what makes a great drummer is his dynamic range when it comes to the intensity of his playing and that only comes from hitting a physical drum set.
Hey Jony thanks for asking, The software allows you to set the sensitivity of every individual element of the drum set to your own liking, swells in particular are a little bit tricky but with practice you'll be able to get some convincing results. Keep in mind that the responsiveness and level of detail is quite impacted by the quality of the sound library that you are using, as an example the built in sounds are ok but lack in detail when compared to a proper library such as superior drummer.
Thank's for your comment, this is more like a video response covering some questions that we got from this video where we explain how we use it, hope this covers your needs: ua-cam.com/video/3lu4yBVzdFQ/v-deo.html
They are rubbish, the upgraded version with Windows 10.Track like shit, miss hits,no toms responding, threw em back in the box, horrible software. I have been drumming for 47 years, the camera refuses to see the hits on the screen.
Thanks for sharing your experience,. It's sad to hear that you haven't got any good result using the product, and in all honesty setting up aerodrums is not as simple as the manufacturer makes it to be, that's why we decided to make a proper guide explaining how we set it up and get great results out of it. Hope it helps, if you need any more help let me know: ua-cam.com/video/DzAzEgB6KdI/v-deo.html

You definitely should get them, it's been one of the best investments the band has ever made!!!!

Can it be played on hard surface for drum rolls more rebound, l did see someone else doing this but still not sure, great vid

You might ruin the reflective tips on the sticks but in theory it should work.
If you place pillows where the cymbals, snare, and hi hat were, would it register?

Interesting. Useful.
Thanks, it is great to see that it was helpful for you!!!
Who is the one demonstrating the aero drums? The one with the Bennie on? Does he have a channel too?

@@bardonmusic thank you
is it suitable for beginner drummers?

How sensitive does it pick up cymbal swells?

Well its your production. Maybe demonstrate would be helpful. And more interesting.
