I just love how you hold Miss Butters and the way you kissed her so casually while talking ... and the way she looks at you. Priceless!!! That was the sweetest moment. xoxo
It shouldn’t be just a “new year’s” resolution, but an “everyday” resolution for me. It is just “let go.” Let go of the past baggage, let go of things/people that are toxic, let go of minor things that irritate you, because life is short. It’s all about intention. I intend to bring peace, joy & happiness to myself.
Nothing like a long cozy calm vlog from Michele to get me motivated to do my chores too. As always I can't help but say again, you have such a beautiful house 🏠 House goals for sure
This vlog really encapsulates why I enjoy your videos so much. There's fancy beautiful things, but at the core, you come across as grounded, thoughtful, someone with depth and substance, and that's what I enjoy most. Someone around my age, who actually has something to say. Thank you for all your hard work. I'm still bingeing your older videos, btw.
Ive just recently discovered Michele's channel via her December 2021 "Mishmass" series. Wow, Wow, WoW! Her sense of style is absolutely exquisite! On top of this, Michele is thoughtful, insightful, intelligent, and she is such an inspiration for all. Love.
Happy new years. I don't usually comment, but that something I'm working on is speaking up. I call the resolutions improvements. To me resolutions means resolved. I feel we are always evolving, and we can always improve.
Michele, as usual, I appreciate your thoughtfulness. I don’t really do resolutions but as life presents it’s ups & downs, I try to constantly better myself & mostly, always make sure I’m acting with love toward myself & gratitude for others! Happy 2022, Michele and all❣️❣️
Love the furniture and the whole look of the den and the table is gorgeous. The combination of wood with the metal base is stunning. I do not set goals or do resolutions. I find them rather pointless and they always feel like I'm setting myself up for failure. I basically review "life" whenever I feel like it. My one constant wish for myself has always been to quit worrying about what other people think. Give MissButters a hug and I hope she feels better.
I really appreciate you sharing your goals for the year/5 years. I also feel like my attention span has suffered, I used to read continuously every spare moment and now I feel like I have trouble focusing on reading because my phone or games or etc has my attention too much. It made me feel better, like it is not just me feeling this way, so thank you. For me I don't ever do resolutions instead I just think about what I want to change or refine or try going forward and it is very loose and casual. I just always strive to try and be a better person.
You, a well deserved influencer who churns out amazing content! I love to see you receive awesome gifts from brands you love! Well deserved Michelle ⭐️
Setting goals, it is absolutely important as you can't grow at all without a having a goal. We are unconscious 93-96% of our life. Awareness is exactly what we need to grow!
Love the facing twin sofas, we have the same set up and it really multipurposes the family room into an easy gathering spot for visitors (since they tend to congregate in the kitchen most of the time). I'm not a resolution girl either, but I do like to do a "gut reset" in January and try to maintain a cleaner diet for as long as I can go. Feel better, look better, and undo the sweet tooth that I inevitably get after the holidays. No rules, no restrictions, but being kind to my maturing body. Happy New year, Michelle!
I don't make resolutions. I choose a word of the year and the write down specific goals related to it. My word for this year is fearless. I suffer from major anxiety and I am working on it. So I am setting small doable goals do be fearless and to not let anxiety rule and ruin my life. I have let so many things pass me by because of fear/anxiety, so this year, I am really putting in the work!
I play Zelda Skyward Sword on my Nintendo Switch and my 13 year old son has to help me all the time. I love that you and your husband play games together, that’s awesome.
I enjoy your vlogs so much. I am glad I found your channel during Mishmas. No New Year’s resolutions - I feel that sets you up for failure. I just make little changes throughout the year
Your house is more welcoming and cozy with sofas and the dining table. I don’t usually have resolutions but I do agree with you that it is important trying to be more mindful and present at the moment.
I think all your furniture choices are great; so glad you're happy with everything! I don't make new year resolutions, but I do reflect as a new year approaches to get clear on what I want and intend.
I used to do yearly goals but more recently I take a strong look at the year that has ended - and I realize that the truly delightful things I experienced or learned are things I would have never planned for. It makes me feel free and excited for the future.
Love this first of 2022 vlog! I hope Butters is completely well now. Love that sweet pup! Your new furniture is wonderful! Love it all. Also, those floral arrangements... Gorgeous! I need, hope, pray 2022 is a healthier year. Every time I turned around in 2021 I had to have another medical test. Human pin cushion I was! That messes with your mental health too. Still a few more tests by April 😔 I have a granddaughter (miracle baby #2) coming in June 🤗 so I want to be my healthiest self for her and my 2 yr old grandson! Many blessings for us all in 2022!
Jann, Prayers for a healthy 2022 for you. I understand not feeling well and battling an illness and how draining it is mentally and physically, as I have been in and out of the hospital for a recurring infection since September and hoping the last treatment resolves it. I hope things improve with your overall health so you can get back to being you and welcome your new granddaughter this June feeling healthy and happy!🙏All my best to you, Lynn
Aww sorry to hear that Miss Butters is not feeling well. Hope she gets better soon. Those floral arrangements are lovely and I adore what you did with the living room. I am still stuck on imagining you playing board games!! That WALLET!! OMG you are so blessed. That was lovely of them... The Charlotte Tilbury gift was great as well. Yes, being mindful of my time and how I am spending it is definitely one of my goals as well.
I love your vlogs so much 💝 They are so comforting for me and I feel like I have a friend during some of my hardest times. Much love to you and yours 🌞
Loved your massive decluttering and looking at your new furniture! That board game is like a job. Wow. I guess we were the smartest when we were in high school, LOL! You got some truly lovely gifts from the companies you regularly review! I don't do resolutions either. There's always a annual focus items for me. This year are three items involving focusing on better health to de-stress and on organizing my ... junk. I truly identify with your struggle to keep present. Please let us know what is working for you. Thanks for such a great vlog! 🙏💜
I love watching your videos…..the beginning of today’s video was so calming! Watching you with your sweet fur baby reminded me of my sweet fur baby I lost before Christmas. I hope you and your family have a good 2022!!!!
I totally relate with feeling flighty looking at my phone too much. About 5 years ago my husband and I changed our routine at night. At dinner we put our phones (work & personal) away in the bedroom and didn’t look at them until the next morning. That was such a positive impact in our lives and we have kept it up all this time. For this year, we made a vow to cultivate our positive relationships more. The world is hard enough right now so we felt that was important. Good luck with your changes. They sound very positive. ❤️
Love how Miss Butters is so patient. She is very sweet. Hope she recovers soon. Your home looks fantastic - your taste in decor is reflected in the choices you make. I stopped making New Year resolutions a long time ago. Personally I think it is nonsense as I don’t no anyone who ever followed thru. I just try to be a better person and adjust my life to how my health issues are. At my age one learns to pace themselves better. I agree with you about the cell phone. I see too many people glued to theirs far too long, even when they are chatting with someone else.
I so enjoy your vlogs. I am 67 and I feel I am visiting with my much younger sister. The one who knows everything about the latest styles and guides me through it all. Before Michele, I would do all of Chanel and call it a day. Suddenly Dior, Ford, Chantecaille, Sisley, Augustus Bader , retrouvé, VB, Nap sweaters, Droplette, jewelry, Cire Trudon, and brushes all came into my life and I am having fun and maybe that is my new year resolution: Fun and no fear! Staying calm and staying away from all Toxic news and people.
Your Vlogs are definitely therapy for me. Your calming voice just makes me relax. Please keep your vlogs coming. BTW, your home and how you have furnished and decorated it, is absolutely breathtaking!!💖 P.S. I stopped making New Years Resolutions years ago because I never followed through with any of them. But, you really gave me some food for thought about me being fully present for the tasks at hand rather than giving in to my phone addiction. I am not making this a formal resolution, but I will definitely be trying to wean myself away from the phone and start living in the present and enjoying what is happening around me. Thank you, Michele.
back issues in the air! Same here and same stuff and time line! Be careful and muscle relaxer especially at bed can help…Back issues are the worst! Feel better for you and Butters! 🤗
Happy New Year! Love the new furniture! Such a nice set up, maybe try moving the chairs a little apart and angling the back away from each other (so the chairs slightly angle in to each other)? Anyhooo, cheers to a new year, fingers crossed, keep love in our hearts, etc., etc..
Thank you for this, Michele. I appreciate your frankness and openness with us in your vlogs. I feel so calm and in good company. Wishing you much success this year on your projects and endeavors with your channel. It’s great! And the house is coming along beautifully too.
Michelle, you are a ray of sunshine! My mood has improved instantly, just like that. My 2021, in terms of work, was also gruelling. I think we are all suffering from shortening attention span. What I find works for me is playing the piano (whenever I find time for it). Any activity that will engage your fine motor functions, really. Your board game idea is a great one as well. My friends and I do that every time we get together. These holidays it was the Dune game. There were six of us and we did not sleep for two nights (it took us almost 4 days, all in all, to complete the campaign). And we are in our 40-ties, for crying out loud! A great idea, that is all I am saying. Butters, get well soon.
I don’t make resolutions. This year is to minimize items in my house. Declutter my make up and keep things I absolutely love. I enjoy gardening and spend more time outside hiking, camping and gardening. And most definitely less time on electronic devices. I did a 30 days of no Instagram and that felt so good. Love your resolutions. Have a beautiful and productive day.
I love your new furniture! I hate resolutions too. I make a vision board, not one of those giant ones, but a smaller one that I can put on my desk and look at everyday. I also write down some manifestations/goals and I read them out loud almost everyday. I know how you feel about being present. I work from home and 2020 was a disaster for my “flow”. I now wake up, get dressed immediately (shower, hair, makeup, jewelry). I then make coffee and sit for at least 30 minutes to either update my planner or just sit and watch the sunrise. It’s now my favorite time of day. Feel better Ms. Fuzzy Butters.
I have a good friend who chooses a word for the coming year. The word should be something she is mindful of. She chose the word "Evolve" for this year. And how she will use this word to guide her decisions for herself. I get what you said about being present. I feel much the same way. When the phone pushes a notification I feel like I need to pick up my phone. And time slips away while I scroll on my phone!
So sorry to hear Miss Butters has been feeling poorly I do hope she is that much better now, such a sweetie. Loving all your new furniture Michele looking really cosy now and the floral arrangement is stunning. I don’t do New Year resolutions either just try and be more motivated and thoughtful towards people and aware and listen if needed. Love the new entry to your vlog very soothing and relaxing.🥰💜
Beautiful choices in your furnishing… Really very elegant..yet comfortable.. and you’re right. A sectional can be hard to maneuver with. Hope your baby feels better. As a doggie mommy I totally understand that feeling when they don’t feel well. Again, just love everything about your channel. I love your style. And I think I’ve mentioned, I tend to “shop” whatever you show.. LoL. Anyway. Happy New Year.. (in case I didn’t already say this). Sending much love…♥️♥️🥰
Thank you for the blog in the new year, I have not made a resolution. I stopped along time ago because I don’t keep them at the couple days I’m done. I’m just rearranging my bedroom in my living room just doing some things inside the house. That needs to be done I do enjoy watching your blogs and your beautiful dog.
Thanks for a wonderful end-of-week Video Visit. Starting with the chat holding Miss Butters - yay! I was excited to see all the new furniture. That kitchen table is lovely, perfect size and I'm glad it's given you an alternative to eating at the counter. And you did a perfect job choosing furniture for the family room. The colors are spot on, and you are absolutely right to have skipped the sectional option. Individual pieces look better and are more comfortable -- excellent, excellent choices, my friend. I know it has seemed forever since you ordered them, but looks like well worth the wait. The house is really coming together! You absolutely made the right choice not to have a gathering at Christmas during this current surge. And a pat on the back for your goal to leave the phone behind when you first wake up, at particularly at meals. Being more mindful about the pleasurable things in life is always a good idea. I don't make resolutions either - pretty much a waste of time. But being more aware about the choices you make about how to spend your time is an A+ goal. Thanks again - really enjoyed this video.
Hi Michele! I really enjoyed this video especially the beginning. It was simple and beautiful to me because my goal is to journal in the morning. How nice to get a cup of coffee, light a candle and begin so peacefully. Do you mind sharing what you are reading and journaling?
I just love your vlogs and sharing your beautiful new home additions! Great taste! I could move in and be cozy. Great little tweeking of goals for the year. And ohhh sooooo adorable...Miss Butters🥰🐕!!! I think we all need to be more present. My phone screen went black the beginning of December and found myself feeling the addiction to reach for it in dead space times instead of being present. No resolutions just want to give myself more self-care🥰
So sorry your back has given you problems again ,typically on holiday. Your family room looks gorgeous. I wish you many happy times there. You gifts are truly beautiful, you so deserve them. I don't generally make resolutions and sadly not even goals. I have an autistic son so the only plan I get to keep is a holiday which is not on at the moment. Keep cosy. Have a great weekend. Look forward to seeing you soon 🥰💖🏴
Happy New Year Michele! Glad Miss Butters is feeling better poor baby and love that she sits on your lap. 🥰🥰 glad you’re on the mend. My daughter and husband and grandkids just recovered from Covid. Both were vaccinated. You always look beautiful with make up on. So sweet of your husband to give you monthly flowers 💐 loving all the furniture. Looks like you’re off to a good start for 2022!
Your home is just beautiful and I adore how you put everything together looking great and like home and living in. And it was kind of refreshing and real to hear some UA-camr talking about responsibility in regards to Covid. I feel the same, this is not the time but time will come.
i really respect your decision to keep christmas small and avoid a large gathering-- things have definitely been getting critical again lately :( stay well!
Beautiful vlog, always important to split as much as you can the MUST things from the RELAXING things!!! Loved to see the love between you and sweet Miss Butters also!!! Loved to see your beautiful furniture and flowers too!!! Sending you lots of love, thanks for the relaxed beautiful vlog, have a wonderful day!!!!😘😘😘😘
It’s not so much a resolution but a change in attitude. I’m going to try to be a little kinder to myself, take time to stop and appreciate everything I have. My new ritual-I start my morning by writing down one thing that I am grateful for and then reading a little lesson from the Intellectual Devotional book. And take a breathe before I start my crazy day. Happy New Year!
I was a little surprised when I saw you picked up Imperial Assault! It is a very fun game once you know the mechanic of it and its replay value is so high. Hope you enjoy the game! The new furniture looks great! Hope your back is doing better!
I get up at 0530 every day. So I'm sitting in my rocker with my coffee (fed cats, turned on pellet stove, started laundry, etc etc)...watching your morning routine as I do mine is really soothing. :) Goals for 2021: cook one significant thing every week (I hate to cook; 2020 was me finishing my masters, had some surgeries, blah blah), and I was able to do that. Goals for 2022: cook two things per week, one of which must be a vegetable dish. Also, I am not good at letting people know I heard and understood them....so I am going to focus on respectfully acknowledging. (I don't know how one measures that.)
We had to cancel Christmas at our house too as my husband was exposed at work and found out that morning. It was disappointing but the right thing to do. Happy New Year.
You inspired me to set some 2022 goals. I also don't love "resolutions," but I do think goal-setting is always healthy, so I'm going to get to that this week. Thank you!
I've been a fan of yours for a long time and subscribed straight away but never posted comments, now,I need to know which exact rings are you wearing, because i haven't been able to find them. I would greatly appreciate your feedback on this, please.
If you do end up going with a sectional for a different room - the corner is ideal for an oversized, deep set tray - perfect cup holder for both interior seats.
Hi Michelle- been subscribed to you for a while, but never really commented. This vlog really resonated to me. I work in the healthcare field, and for the last 2 years my work/life balance hasn’t existed. I’m sure a lot of people can relate. I am finally realizing that if I don’t take time for myself and have some balance, my personal relationships will suffer. At the end of the day, it’s not my job that defines me. It’s my relationships with family, friends, and strangers that will. I have set some intentions for this year to tip the scale back to a balance I have lost and engage and be present in the hobbies that I have missed and love. To that end, you are a hobby that I love. I appreciate and admire your aesthetic, kindness, and transparency on this platform. May 2022 bring you a balance as well.
Totally with you with the back pain. We ordered a new bed. Broke down and removed the old bed so I could paint the ceiling before the new bed came and could not move especially the bending forward movement for two days.
Hi Michele, Happy New Year! Your house is lovely. Such a serene setting. I have a very bad habit of being late for almost everything! I procrastinate getting ready to leave and then I am rushing! So, that’s my goal. That steak looks delicious!
I so agree with the timing of changes Michele. I want to quit smoking! I hate the smell and when I quit once for ten years...I was a horrible ex-smoker! I could smell it on others and it was disgusting!!! Yep.. that's what others probably say about me! Hopefully, this year. I don't make resolutions because I know if it's a defined thought..I'll fight it. I'm happy to hear you and Ms. Butters are on the mend. I have to admit that I miss Mishmas. Thank you again and Happy 2022! 🎆💙
I never make resolutions as I don't keep them. The last few years I make a plan of the year for myself. But, that plan does tend to change throughout the year as my focus changes. Enjoying the videos!
Hi Michele good choice getting the two sofas for the family room, love the table and chairs everything looks beautiful.Thank you for this Vlog your voice is so calming it helps me relax 💕💕
Same with my Christmas! So many of my friends ended up catching omi over holiday gatherings…. Wishing you and ur loved ones good health and the very best 2022 has to offer! 💕💕💕
I don't do resolutions exactly, but I write down several tangible achievable goals that I want to accomplish during the year (e.g. get my driver's license, pitch three stories to such-and-such publication). And omg, that Dior wallet is gorgeous!!
I'm so excited for you to fill your new home with things you will enjoy. Isn't it so fun too have a home you love? I love your choices and I pray you all the blessings of comfort, and joy, with peace and health. Happy New Yaar, New Home!👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽❤️💕👍🏼
Hey Michele 💖💜 I’m sure you have said but where did you get your book you write in and what size is it? I like how thick it is, lots of pages with lots of options I assume.
Yeah, I don’t really do resolutions at new year’s either. Like you said, you can do that any time of year. I think being more thoughtful and ‘in the moment’ is a good thing to strive for. Thanks Michele, what a lovely vlog. Love your new table! And nice new wallet! I wish you and yours a wonderful new year!
Love the vlog and the new furniture. Resolutions - nope but I am trying to be more conscious and present. I used to be so proud of my multitasking and now I am trying to give that up.
Love the vlogs. Thanks for the escape we all need. I cannot wait for next one. In the beginning of video you are journaling can you link the book you are using please looks amazing. Thanks
I have the same exact goal. It comes from the same exact feelings of being kinda detached or distracted too much of the time. It's reassuring to know that someone so far away from me (I'm in England) is feeling just as I do. I have a suggestion for you Michele.... I've been thinking about having a cut off time to just put my devises away until the next day. Maybe it's something that could help you too? X
I do not set resolutions since that never worked, I agree if you want to make a change just make the change regardless of the time of year. I agree with you on feeling in a funk and not present and recognizing I have been feeling and acting differently since the pandemic started (in the way I manage my life). I am not present, I am procrastinating more, I am less engaged, and do waste a lot of time mindlessly scrolling instead of getting things accomplished. I have been overly stressed and part of it is work-related and part of it is frustration from toxic people, and part is due to an illness I have been dealing with since September, all of which has taken a lot out of me mentally and physically. However, all of it opened my eyes to where I am wasting time and how my attitude has changed, and what changes I want and need to make so I can be happier and healthier, and more productive overall. I began a list of goals and how I envision incorporating those goals into my life, some are daily, some are project-driven, some are lifelong changes. On a positive note, I have already started incorporating some of these items into my life and it is making a difference. 💕. Lynn
I just love how you hold Miss Butters and the way you kissed her so casually while talking ... and the way she looks at you. Priceless!!! That was the sweetest moment. xoxo

100% agree

love love your videos and vlogs, really help me during bad days, keep up the good work, and hope your wishes and dreams come true.
Thanks for sharing! I never do resolutions. I set shorter term goals for my personal life because I am so busy at work.

BTW, your home and how you have furnished and decorated it, is absolutely breathtaking!!💖
Happy new year 🎉
You have the best voice to listen to, along with great ideas
Love your furniture, thanks for staring

So sorry about Miss Butters (not feeling well) and your back. Happy you're both on the mend though! Also happy you love your new furniture and games!
Thanks Katrina! Butters is all better now! In fact harassing me to play ball-y as I type this 😄😄
Mrs. Butters makes my day every time she pops up. Love! 🖤🤍
I'm an interior designer and I totally agree with you on sectionals 😝
My enjoyment is in the evening watching the news and then checking into your channel.
Happy 2022 to you and yours! Your rings are beautiful...where did you buy them?
👌🏼!!!! Another video/ vlog that is “everything “ to me!!! Excited for your next BIG thing!!
Oh, and may I just say, how much I love how appreciative you are! Not a question. Lolo
My thoughts and prayers for your Aunt. She will be ok. Xo
Not a resolutions kind of gal, either. Everyday is a choice for nutrition, exercise, relationships and living intentionally. Happy New Year Michele!
Happy New Year, Michele! Oh my, what gorgeous flowers!! The new furniture is beautiful and comfy. I like slope arms and single cushion on the sofas.
Just be true to yourself everything else will fall in place your videos are great you have opened up a whole new world for me thank you
Beautiful vlog, always important to split as much as you can the MUST things from the RELAXING things!!!
INTENTIONAL. That’s my word this year.
Good Afternoon Michele, soooo relaxing love all your vlogs. Happy New Year. 😊 Gill 🇬🇧 xoxo 💖 💕
If you do end up going with a sectional for a different room - the corner is ideal for an oversized, deep set tray - perfect cup holder for both interior seats.
The house looks beautiful. I love the mix of textures and color. And that Dior wallet….beautiful. I’m not at all surprised they sent it!!!
Happy New Year, Michele. All of the new furniture looks amazing! Thank you for sharing it with us!
I hope you find some balance Julieanna 💗
Love how your home decor is coming together. Also, your weight loss is really evident in this video - great job!
I never make resolutions as I don't keep them. The last few years I make a plan of the year for myself. But, that plan does tend to change throughout the year as my focus changes. Enjoying the videos!
Love all your furniture and color choices. The rugs are perfect.
Hi Michele good choice getting the two sofas for the family room, love the table and chairs everything looks beautiful.Thank you for this Vlog your voice is so calming it helps me relax 💕💕
I love the way those ‘S’ curve drapes fall. Beautiful
Did your husband like his chair that you bought for Christmas? House looks fabulous!
Your house is beautiful, and you got amazing gifts! Aww miss Butters on your lap getting spoiled is priceless 😃
Blue bottle is my favorite 💙
💕. Lynn
