Hey Paul, have the dealer check the pressure differential sensor. It could be faulty and misreading the level of backpressure between the front and rear of the DPF. The Pressure Differential Sensor calculates carbon saturation levels. The DPF could be fine but the sensor is reporting excess carbon and preventing a regeneration cycle.

About a month ago I threw in the towel on my diesel pick up. It got to the point where I had to wait days on end just for a diesel tech to be available to see the truck then was placed on a back order for an egr 3 months. Luckily for me gassers can do everything I need and I will never again own another diesel. If your out of warranty and own a diesel most people would go broke at the sight of a check engine light.

Its unfortunate. Diesels were always more simple and more reliable than a gas motor but thats no longer true. Gas engines are now more reliable due to emissions. If you really need to tow heavy all the time you just gotta either bite the bullet and be ready to spend tons on repairs and have downtime or buy an older truck and restore it. Either way its not worth it

After leaving the dealer yesterday my truck did a regeneration with another regen this morning.
