- Our trip to Albania starts in the capital city of Tirana - a clean, easily walkable and INCREDIBLY FUN place to visit! This video is full of great ideas, facts and the best things to do in 2 days in Tirana! We explore the not-so-long-ago communist history and how the city has progressed since then. We visit zones in the city that were previously only open to Communist leaders, as well as learning about Enver Hoxha's bunker system.
The food in Albania is incredibly delicious and we sample many of the national dishes on a city food tour... and I pass on my recommended restaurant and nightlife suggestions.

I am very happy that you liked my beautiful country, However if you return to Albania again, I recommend you visit the city of Lezha, The cuisine is the best in Albania, there are many places to see, if you are passionate about history, C 'is the Lezhë castle, and in the city center there is the tomb of the national hero GJergj Kastrioti Skenderbeg and do not forget the museum, and then the beautiful beaches of the city, starting from Rana and Hedhun - Shëngjin - Kune - the splendid beach of the Vain lagoon, here it is a protected area, I saw in this video that your travel companion who is a photography enthusiast, the Vain lagoon area is known throughout the country for the protected area and the many birds that migrate there , and if you like fish-based cuisine and all seafood, it is the right place, but there are also many traditional dishes from the area to try, and lastly Tale beach, a quiet and truly beautiful place , sorry for my English, I'm trying to learn better

i like everything in your video, including your pretty face, except this 1:27, like many youtubers, you also focus on talking about the communist period in Albania, Sweet girl, communism has been forgotten for almost half a century, i think we should leave history to the professionals , and just enjoy your time in there, because Albanian history doesn't start with the communist era, but thousands of years earlier, making Albania the oldest country in the world. nice video, i enjoy it,
Hi! Thanks for your kind comments. I certainly don't pretend to be an expert in Albania's history but it is difficult to travel to Albania without touching on the communist history. It is remarkable how considerably things have changed in 50 years.

Or no one going in Germany and talking about "Weimar republic era" 1920s which was a time that every German people wish to forget it. Enjoy your time pretty girl. I really like your videos.

I find it interesting to learn these things & I enjoy watching other UA-camrs who also shed light... even if just for discussion & greater understanding.
The reason I said it was difficult to travel to Albania without touching on the Communist history is that there are physical reminders of it everywhere - 200,000+ bunkers, museums, memorials, buildings and artworks in Skanderbeg Square. Visitors in Tirana will have no option but to see these relics of a time past. Our tour guide also informed us of the Illyrian, Byzantine & Ottoman history but as I said, this is not a historical channel, however I do find it interesting, so sometimes I mention it. @@TheLensCapChronicles trust me, as an Albanian myself, you speaking about Communist period in Albania i find it not offensive at all. Its a part of our history, a part of how it has marked us as people, and the most recent one. Now, as the other person mentioned, its true that our history does not start with communism, Albanians ethnicity is ancient, as one of the few Paleo-Balkan people, speaking a Paleo-Balkan language which is very unique and without any close living relatives. We are a people that have outlived various empires from Roman, Byzantine, Ottoman, and various invasions from avars, visgoths, slavs and so on and forth, resisting assimilation. So i can see how some people might be a bit touchy when light is shown only on the communism era. However, despite that, i loved your commentary, loved your presentation, you both seem such wonderful people. Thank you for visiting Albania!

how expensive is Albania?
Hi! We found overall that accommodation was cheaper but some of the beach clubs were quite expensive, especially the food and beverages!
@@TheLensCapChronicles compared to last year the prices were cheap or lets just say fair with no one having any complaint,now however many albanians saw how tourism started and ended with a "boom" last year and thought "you know what?....we'll increase the prices for everything a lot more" and there you have it now ,tourism this year compared to last year dropped a LOOOOT because of such foolishness
