I allow others to get inside my head, and spend a lot of time ruminating about conversations. I am working on putting myself first and recognising that this negatively affects me.

You are so right in work in yourself. It used to happen to me so often. When those thoughts would get in my head that’s what I did: I became aware by saying “not here, it doesn’t belong to me. Today is xx/xx and I am doing this action and I choose myself. This is somebody’s else problem and not mine.” This self talk brings me to the present and it helped me a lot.

Olivia White I also listen to assc direct and permission to Exist and have been using the “gray rock method” i kept my
Side of the road clean and stopped
Reacting to his games, insults, and compliments. I’ve literally been playing dead since April and have since broken our soul tie. It’s like I woke up and nothing will ever be the same. It’s definitely one step forward three steps back process but once you snap out of it and see light at the end of the tunnel it gets easier. He wasn’t getting the fix his ego needed from me so leaving was eventually a given.

Self love is honesty with self. It's learning to laugh. It's inventing a zillion go to play behaviors which really make you laugh out loud and breaking them out often. Self love is attention to self. Self love requires introspective self examination. Self love is finding out who you are. Self love is being True to Self, letting yourself be flawed, saying what you think when you think it. Self love is creating Good Ego character traits like honesty, open mindedness, giving, mercy, compassion, acceptance, forgiveness, etc.. and then learning to love yourself because you know you are a good person who carries those traits when it's not easy.

Some of the things that has benefited my mental health is recognizing people's patterns and learning how to interact with them. I have narcs in my immediate family. I can avoid them for so long but when we do get together I no longer feel depressed after leaving their presence. They have stopped criticizing me but the manipulative ones still try to use me for their personal gain. I'm proud that I don't get frustrated anymore and just let it go.

Narcs(narcissists) will "narc" (narcotics informant) when they see other people when you're not around. Even if such things they say never occurred or they twist, bend, mold, change, modify the "TRUE STORY"

Gratitude definitely elevates the positive energy that you put out into the universe. Being grateful truly does trigger positive thoughts which radiates and attracts what you want in your life. In conclusion... it all starts with self-love. 💞

❤Thank you. As you say, self-care and learning to self-parent (Love the inner children who weren't loved all through the different ages they needed to be), being gentle and kind towards yourself as you would be to others who you Love, replace the negative thoughts (energies) with positive thoughts (I use little phrases repeated over and over again of positivity), stay aware of how you feed and care for yourself, and be grateful for all that you have because there are those with much less in life. Enjoy all the beauty and joy you can each day because healing ourselves is a life-long journey and no one gets out alive or with their wordly possessions 😉😊

I can tell you that the way I feel about myself today is a wonderful and beautiful experience.⚘ don't ever feel bad for taking time to love yourself. This was a milestone video for me Steph. I have watched a few of your videos before and they helped, but the other day when I watched this video, I was in the right headspace and it all just clicked. Everything just finally clicked in my brain. Self parenting finally made sense. I have been searching for everyone else to parent me all my life, I had never stopped to think, I can actually parent myself and reassure myself and tell myself it'll be ok, I love you, I'm not going to hurt you anymore because I love you. Self love is something I never had and I truly despised and hated myself all my life, so I kept running away from myself to find comfort in relationship after relationship and then running when they got hard to a fresh one for the good feelings that I never felt in myself. So it finally made sense to me watching this that I'm not gonna hurt myself anymore. I love myself and I'm here to reassure myself and that is so special and beautiful and really really affected me. So thankyou for this video. A lot of others helped me aswell. But this one just hit me and it was the right time when I needed it and broke through the walls. Thankyou so much. Mental health is so important and after years of ignoring it. I'm glad finally I've seen the need to journey to heal and develop my mental health. So thankyou for this video and the help it gave me. This is only early on in my journey 1.5months of healing after some massive losses in my life which made me finally wake up and realise I need to change and fix myself. I have a lot to go. But this arms me with the ability to parent and care for myself and be happy with myself. So thankyou! Whoop. Keep up the great work.

My grandparents had a wood stove in their livingroom. I remember coming in from playing outside for hours in the snow, getting out of my winter stuff.. and just standing in front of it to get warm. It wasn't until I moved that I realized I had stayed too long, and it was painful the amount of heat on my jeans touching my skin. I guess this is how I feel looking at pictures of "us" together, for a bit it is so warm and cozy, but when I go to move on with the day it burns me so bad. I miss him and love him so deeply, I'm hurting myself trying to get cozy and warm - to fend off my lonliness... and not realizing or accepting that I will warm up on my own - that trying to warm up too quickly is just hurting me more.

This is perfect timing, as my daughter & I are hosting a self Love meditation tomorrow night.
My self Love practice started with paying attention to my self talk. When I started noticing how many times a day I call myself stupid, I changed it up. It felt silly at first, like I was trying to baby myself. After a while though, it really helped me feel better, and be able to get into other self loving exercises; better diet, better self expression, shadow work.
One thing I am always working on is my addiction to sugar. That is real stuff right there! I have to reel myself in regularly on that one.
Also expressing my boundaries & needs is one I'm working on lately. I discovered that I'm not very good in that department.
    Here's to everyone's self loving journey! 💗

I know, i know, I KNOW that i am SOOO hard on myself! I take "everybody is their own worst critic" and i bolt a supercharger on it and ruminate myself into oblivion!
Having said that, i am working on myself day by day. Your uploads and channel are really helping me accept that I AM NOT MY THOUGHTS!
The first time i had ever heard that was on one of your uploads, and that one statement alone has profoundly changed how i am approaching myself.
Thank you Stephanie, for teaching me that self love and healthy thoughts isnt a finishline to race towards, its a journey!🙏

Gratitude is very important, but is obviously a difficult thing sometimes and will take time and patience. The self love I probably need right now is more time to myself to meditate, and more time with friends. We all get so caught up in our busy daily lives that we forget to stop and breath for a second. Thank you so much for your videos Stephanie 💗

I relate to this particularly right now in this time. It's the season for Sobering up for a while. It's a litmus test as to whether one has decision power. Things are only difficult when one is wishy washy, but when you decide on something, you can do anything

Great video! 😃👍🏼 thanks a ton for your time, effort and advice!
I know that I have to focus on:
    1. Patience
    2. Disengaging from non-constructive self-criticism
    3. Stop comparing myself to an ideal self and others
    4. Do more physical exercise
    5. Monitor my thoughts
    6. Practice gratitude
    7. Stop being a perfectionist beyond reasonable limits
I am a student in physics and sometimes I succeed in a lesson and sometimes I need to learn, but that’s okay because I progress if I am open to learning new skills, concepts and lessons.
    Thank you Stephanie!

Having the courage to cultivate my skills and talents, learning to be my own best friend and enjoy my own company, unlearning the message that I need a partner to be fulfilled in life. Speaking to myself kindly, being my own best friend and giving MYSELF the benefit of the doubt rather than every body else. Learning to listen to my gut so that I start to learn whats good for me and what isn't, instead of saying "yes" to everything out of obligation/pleasing.

Since you asked.....my thoughts in addition to this great video. Give up control. It is a fallicy. Know that it is your journey - Honor it. Very few will honor and support your journey.
Know that the universe will guide you. Become present in both. Honor your needs and wishes. Do not dishonor others.
    Thank you!!

This video could not be more aptly timed. Be gracious, Express gratitude and bless the things you have been blessed with- not just the tangible acquisitions one has through life. I suspect if you're watching this channel patience, honesty, the desire to help others are all in us. Recognize these blessings and stop comparing your journey to anyone else's especially not your own envisioned one. Thank you Stephanie Lyn for reminding me on my own path to wellness.

Right, I’m from a culture where greeting whilst looking each other in the eye was a usual thing. Here in the UK you either may end up in a fight or you have a potential partner when you look at someone. Absolutely differences in culture.

A mentor of mine pointed out that I wasn't loving myself. When I asked her how she stated that I should ask God to show me the way. I started praying, meditating, googling, and of course UA-cam searching. I learned that my diet and exercising had a major affect. I started a green juice fast to reset my body. Started working out 30 minutes 3-4 days a week. Changed my diet completely leaving out a lot of high sugar and saturated fat foods and imputing more greens. My mental health is improved. My thoughts don't seem as negative anymore and if they are I can recognize the pattern and let the thoughts go instead of perpetuating them. Now I'm understanding myself better that I like alone time and need a meditation session periodically to recharge myself. This video confirmed some ideas I have about self love and helped form new ones like comparing isn't good for growth if it's taken too far. Thanks for the good content.💕
