No one sings like Norah anymore. Listen to the clarity in that vocal, the breathy innocence of it. Her voice is... beyond beautiful. And sure, I suppose nowadays there are maybe 2 or 3 other singers in the world who have "as beautiful" a voice as Norah, purely from a sonically pleasant POV. But, to my mind, none of them have the kind of emotive story-telling and innocent nature, that oases out from Norah's incredible vocal. It's not "just" that she's a great singer, it's that she always sings with 100% of her heart, and is absolutely dedicated to expressing the theme of any song that she sings. She is almost unerring in knowing the right KIND of vocal that a song needs as well. I can think of maybe 2 or 3 songs out of... has to be 100's all told including the standards and non studio covers. Which is something that MO elevates her. She's the kind of talent that EVERYONE would be talking about, today, if she hadn't put the breaks on the "media" side of things back in the 2000's. But she did, so only her fans really know how MUCH Norah has done as s musician. [and there are several million of us, so it;s not like people "don't" talk about Norah] Simple fact is, she chose to be a proper musician, and rejected a lifestyle that she "could" have easily followed. The sort of lives the so called "big megastars" live. She [Norah Jones] could have been bigger than ALL of them, had she wanted to. Instead, she's just one of the best musicians period, on the ever loving planet. Anyone reading this finding a reason to doubt, show me someone "objectively better"? [I won't hold my breath]
Makes me cry thinking of the innocence of my youth. We act as if we are so different but this song is a pure indicator that we are very much the same. Embrace our youth... This is my youth. This is your youth. Let us not forget. I write this at my work desk, with tears in my eyes. How do we end up missing ourselves, when we are here all along?! Our inner child is crying to simply be remembered but we let the unimportance of life consume that very inner child. I am speaking to you, I am speaking to me, I am speaking to us.... Remember. Simply, remember. I was here. 03/13/2021 Covid survivor.
Beautifully put, and ironically I am seeing your comment exactly one year later! May you live your best life, and allow your inner child to shine forward and bring youth unto others. Many blessings my friend
totally, indeed Norah´s music, especially first two record were part of the soundtrack trough my rough chemoterapy, it helped me find peace and comfort back then and now.
I was sitting in the backseat of my mom’s car with her and my sister in the front. I remember the heat of the day like it was yesterday. It was summer and I was just a kid back then enjoying the simple life. We were going to the beach that summer with the windows rolled down and I remember my mom and sister laughing which was not always the case - so it was a good day! This was back when everyone had a bunch of old cd’s lying just around in their cars and suddenly my mom put on Norah’s album ‘Feels Like Home’. The album and this song have been my life soundtrack since that day, and it made me do my own music after many years of listening. - Thanks Norah
I checked your channel to see if you're doing music. Im glad you are. Hypothermia song is haunting. I've always liked nora jones (more so her older songs)
No one understands how much this song means to me ! When I was 11 my family took a road trip to the Dells and this song came on about 5 times during the trip. I fell in love with it ! It's so relaxing! I've literally been looking for the song my entire life it feels like . I haven't been able to find it anywhere or explain to other people how the song went. I thought maybe the song didn't actually exist, but I would sing it to myself all the time , then yesterday (11 years later) I hear the song while walking through the mall and I SCREAMED!! Now I know the song ! I feel so complete because I swore up and down I would never find that song in my LIFE! ... Ok that is all enjoy the amazing song! 😁😁😁
I miss old days back at early 2000s.. Life was less complicated and positive vibes are our norm.. Saying hi to old me.. And having my Norah's private party and remembering good old times! 💕
Many years ago as night drew in whilst travelling in Europe I stopped at a cafe just to chill for a while. Lots of people were outside in the warm Mediterranean surroundings. Some sitting on chairs and some on a wall close by. Sunrise came on, the first time I had heard it, and when it got to the first 'whooo-oooo-oooo' almost in unison the group of dutch ladies and gents joined in... It's always stuck with me and was the moment I feel in love with both the song and Norah
i truly love this video... somehow with her voice, the melody, the background takes me out from this world for a moment... like being in a place where there's no problem... easy.. and peace... Couldn't make it any better...
My husband asked me last night “If I could listen to one song for the rest of my life what would it be?” Immediately this song came to mind! So much peace of mind in this song.
I have a memory of this song when I was in 1st grade. They played this song at my elementary school before the morning announcements. I was always half asleep but entranced by her voice. Its a sort of surreal memory I have. I’m 22 now and heard this song for the first time since then. It brought me back to my childhood. Very grateful.
I am a hard rock musician, love Van Halen, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Metallica, etc. I crank loud rock in my car. I can't get enough of it. Yet, this woman's voice puts a calm in my universe, brings my pulse way down, cures my agitations. Love it.
Hahahaha, wow, Yes! You speak for the both of us.. forgot for a long long time and then saw the first morning light coming in through the window, and without thinking started to hum ‘sunrise.. sunrise’ had even forgotten it was Norah’s
My mom would put her CDs on in the car when I was little and I'd always fall asleep to them and she'd have to carry me inside when we got home. It makes me so nostalgic, I'm instantly transported to my childhood and even today if I'm having trouble falling asleep I just listen to her :)
Saskia I totally understand how it takes you back to your childhood. my mom would play her and we would get dish towels and dance around in the kitchen all fancy. love Norah Jones and the sounds make me think of being little and my family being together and not having any worries....those were the days
If the hulk were real, he'd probably play Norah Jones' music to turn back into Bruce Banner. It's so soft. It's like you could make a pillow out of it.
My dog has a tumor and will have to be put down soon. He used to smile when he heard this song and I know I'm going to play it/ sing it to him when I hold him for the last time going into the vet
Norah Jones is an amazing woman with an amazing voice. She doesn't need to be half or totally naked to make people like her songs. I reallllllllly love her and her songs, a simple lady with a great character ❤
This song gives me an undescrible feeling of freedom, peace and hope. While listening to it I imagine myself driving to a peaceful coastline while the sky is painted by the sun rising, and it vibes like a new beginning

This song is what if feels like to come back home after being away on a long trip. It's what it feels like to get a big hug from a loved one you have seen in a while. It's the audio version of sitting on your deck during a thunderstorm and listening to the rain hitting the roof. Something about the gentleness of the melody just makes you feel safe, like no matter where you are in the world, you're always home. ❤
Norah was a true revelation in that time.the innoccence in her appearance, her pure voice , the sweetest melodies and beautiful lyrics were somthing longing to happen, something that we all waited to hear on the radio.☀📻🧡
I love this song for some reason makes me immediately happy and relax. Even when I was a teenager and living in Ecuador and did not know what the songs said. Thank you for this amazing piece of art for the ears and the heart.
I first heard this song as a scared 18 year old on my first night in prison and instantly felt better for a few minutes I laid back and closed my eyes on the top bunk and felt free from then on I knew I could escape every night with the aid of a small stereo so I just want to say thank you Norah for getting me through the most difficult time of my life
Luis Pezzini I got into a fight outside a bar the person I was fighting got knocked out and hit there head on the Kurb they got brain damage from it the only way I feel remotely not too responsible is the fact that they threw the first punch i ducked and threw a counter punch which knocked them out
We had a new born baby with colick when this song came out. She cried constantly. We would play this song to soothe her and ourselves. This song still brings back powerful emotions. She is 19 now. ❤️ Thank you for this song, Nora!
Absolutely love Norah. She's talented beyond words like Prince. My two favorites songs are "Be here to love me" & "Prettiest Thing". All her songs are pure joy
So nostalgic, and literally one of the most beautiful songs ever written. I refuse to watch this video because I need music I can make my own story to in my head and this songs great because it's calming and it gives me beautiful images of a lonely girl dancing and sleeping in a cornfield, and then being joined by another kindered spirit. Just embracing the vast emptiness of the golden field. Really sleep enticing images for me.
It's not a happy song in the sense of the lyrics, they are staying in bed all day and night due to them knowing once they leave they will be done with each other, so when she sees the "sunrise", she is surpised that they are still together after everything that has conspired between them.
I remember back in early 2000s when I was in the primary value and I'd wake up this song because my dad loves her incredibly and just laying there feeling safe and free she gave me such peace I had to go and seek her albums❤❤ and now I play this for my son and I know his kids will know this peace as well Thank you, Norah.
The instruments blend so well with her voice. It is sublime! I fell in love with this song a decade ago, and I listen to it all the time in the mornings. Great way to greet the sun!
Sunrise, sunrise Looks like mornin' in your eyes But the clock's held 9:15 for hours Sunrise, sunrise Couldn't tempt us if it tried 'Cause the afternoon's already come and gone And I said Hoo, ooh, ooh, ooh Hoo, ooh, ooh, ooh Hoo, ooh, ooh, ooh To you Surprise, surprise Couldn't find it in your eyes But I'm sure it's written all over my face Surprise, surprise Never something I could hide When I see we made it through another day And I said Hoo, ooh, ooh, ooh Hoo, ooh, ooh, ooh Hoo, ooh, ooh, ooh To you Now the night Will throw its cover down On me again Ooh, and if I'm right It's the only way To bring me back Hoo, ooh, ooh, ooh Hoo, ooh, ooh, ooh Hoo, ooh, ooh, ooh To you Hoo, ooh, yeah Hoo, ooh, ooh, ooh Hoo, ooh, ooh, ooh To you
Watching today's sunrise over a beautiful pond with a cup of my favorite coffee, and my two cats in my lap with this playing. Cant help but be grateful for life and all of its beauty
No one soothes me better than you do. I've been listening your songs for a long time. You don't know about it but you've been there for me in my hardest times and in my happiest mornings and in my happiest nights. Thank you for all of that! You have a great soul.
I woke up with Be Here to Love Me randomly on my mind and I had to run this whole album back. Sunrise takes me back to a simpler time when I was so full of confusing and lonely emotions as a young teen. Such a comforting song. And I’ve always been blind to how whimsical Norah Jones really is. Took me til Visions to appreciate it fully. Thanks for the blessing of true artistry to guide us through life’s seasons. ❤
This illustrates the beauty which human souls can bestow upon the earth and each other. I would like every five year old child in the world to see this.
I get a lot of comments about the picture. I just tried to think of one of the most shocking portraits I had ever seen. This image was flashed subliminally in The Exorcist movie (1973). I was trying to be original. Same with my YT name. I am a 53 year old male nurse who still has his first teddy bear. I like buying girls flowers and chocolates and apparently I'm very good with kids although I never had any. One of the most poignant moments in my life was when my niece, who was about 4, told me I was like Mary Poppins. And I ride a fast motorbike. ;-)
This is my daughter's "birth song". She was born on a sunny morning in 2004 and this song was playing on my CD player. Ever since, on her birthday morning, she sits with me and we play this song.
Perfect song for breakfast buffets and early mornings at the cafe
While reading books
And drinking hot chocolate sitting in a sofa in an old house by the sea during winter
100%
Happy 45th Birthday Norah Jones!(Born March 30, 1979)😃🥳🎂🎉🎊🎈🎁🍾🥂🎀🌷🌹💐👍👏🙌
I swear Norah Jones has the most gorgeous voice I've ever heard. And she is such a classic beauty.
I agree with you.
It's incredibly smooth isn't it
And she sounds exactly the same in concert!! So very talented.
Great voice indeed! You should also check out Rachel Yamagata, especially the song 'Duet'.
Agree
No nudity
No controversy
Full Of Talent
That's Norah Jones❤
Just pure talent. She doesn’t need to dress like a stripper on live stage to sell music and tickets. Major shift from what things are like now.
You don't understand Art, or the lyrics of this song.
I’m so glad music like this exists.

I first heard this song as a scared 18 year old on my first night in prison and instantly felt better for a few minutes I laid back and closed my eyes on the top bunk and felt free from then on I knew I could escape every night with the aid of a small stereo so I just want to say thank you Norah for getting me through the most difficult time of my life
Who highlighted my message was my thanku actually seen by Norah
😂😂😴
Ryan Surtees it was a joke bro
why were you in prison?
Luis Pezzini I got into a fight outside a bar the person I was fighting got knocked out and hit there head on the Kurb they got brain damage from it the only way I feel remotely not too responsible is the fact that they threw the first punch i ducked and threw a counter punch which knocked them out
We had a new born baby with colick when this song came out. She cried constantly. We would play this song to soothe her and ourselves. This song still brings back powerful emotions. She is 19 now. ❤️ Thank you for this song, Nora!
This song brings such great memories. It's so mellow and refreshing every time I hear it. Thank you Norah!
I've been in love with Norah Jones since I first heard voice. Pure peace.
Absolutely love Norah. She's talented beyond words like Prince. My two favorites songs are "Be here to love me" & "Prettiest Thing". All her songs are pure joy
A rainy day, a cup of coffy and this masterpiece...❤
Bakin to this on a Saturday mornin in 2020 ✌🏾
Karmugilan Panneerselvam you’re a week ahead of me friend.
Karmugilan Panneerselvam And who asked?
never ever find the musician like this again in this era I think...
perfect symphony.
This song sheds light even in the darkest days.
This has been one of my favorite songs for years and I had no idea until now how silly and sweet the music video is :)
This song gives me a feeling of relaxation on a rainy day.
I know, they're not happy thoughts, the partner is her rebound X3 the details vary, but it's always very slow and calming.
I have always thought of this song as being a prequel to the events that happen in the albums following this one
crissy4445 I feel the same about music videos .. I don't like to see them and make my own scenarios
December 2019 anyone? Norah Jones music make me wanna never give up on finding love.
Lima Perú 04 december.
Yup! December 2019! Our favorite artist!
Leo Jaramillo I cant get enough of her music.
:)
13th december
I remember back in early 2000s when I was in the primary value and I'd wake up this song because my dad loves her incredibly and just laying there feeling safe and free she gave me such peace I had to go and seek her albums❤❤ and now I play this for my son and I know his kids will know this peace as well
Thank you, Norah.
The instruments blend so well with her voice. It is sublime! I fell in love with this song a decade ago, and I listen to it all the time in the mornings. Great way to greet the sun!
This song never ceases to cheer me up. Listen to it first thing in the morning and see how it starts your day on a good note :)
Who's listening in November of 2023? Love the nostalgic feeling this song brings me, Norah! Blessings!
this song comforts me
this song feels like realising you’re in love
I had an mp3 player 15 years ago. It had this song on it. I just found it again. Tears were shed. Thank you.
Sunrise, sunrise
Looks like mornin' in your eyes
But the clock's held 9:15 for hours
Sunrise, sunrise
Couldn't tempt us if it tried
'Cause the afternoon's already come and gone
And I said
Hoo, ooh, ooh, ooh
Hoo, ooh, ooh, ooh
Hoo, ooh, ooh, ooh
To you
Surprise, surprise
Couldn't find it in your eyes
But I'm sure it's written all over my face
Surprise, surprise
Never something I could hide
When I see we made it through another day
And I said
Hoo, ooh, ooh, ooh
Hoo, ooh, ooh, ooh
Hoo, ooh, ooh, ooh
To you
Now the night
Will throw its cover down
On me again
Ooh, and if I'm right
It's the only way
To bring me back
Hoo, ooh, ooh, ooh
Hoo, ooh, ooh, ooh
Hoo, ooh, ooh, ooh
To you
Hoo, ooh, yeah
Hoo, ooh, ooh, ooh
Hoo, ooh, ooh, ooh
To you
As we say in Brazil: "not every hero wear a cape" 👏.

Thx💓😊
She sings "who" but it works.
Hoo hoo ho oh merry christmas
Singing this to my two week old son now. This song always relaxed me, so now I’m passing the gift on to him. Love you Nora J 🥰
Welcome baby Landon S
what a beautiful piece of music. And the video does it justice, too
This masterpiece is so calm and moving at the same time. Love it.
I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS SONG FOR LIKE EVER!!!
Watching today's sunrise over a beautiful pond with a cup of my favorite coffee, and my two cats in my lap with this playing. Cant help but be grateful for life and all of its beauty
It's a timeless piece, just like her. Thank you Norah Jones.
thank you norah for taking all of my pains and feeling hopelessness away with your beautiful music.
+HumanoidOrganism lol i love the contrast between your comment and your picture
I get a lot of comments about the picture. I just tried to think of one of the most shocking portraits I had ever seen. This image was flashed subliminally in The Exorcist movie (1973). I was trying to be original. Same with my YT name. I am a 53 year old male nurse who still has his first teddy bear. I like buying girls flowers and chocolates and apparently I'm very good with kids although I never had any. One of the most poignant moments in my life was when my niece, who was about 4, told me I was like Mary Poppins. And I ride a fast motorbike. ;-)
very disturbing lol
Pedo bear approves?
Absolutely beautiful and wholesome!!❤
She’s a real musician’s, musician. She’s deep, very deep
Beautiful ❤️ Relaxing song. I need to hear this song after my crazy, busy, day at work 😮😅😊❤
I have been looking for this song it seems my entire life ever since I heard it playing at Target. wow. 10 years later I finally found it. ♡

I finally found this song, i'm crying so hard right now.
It's such a remarkable feeling when you finally find "that" song. It's a hard feeling to match.
So did I
Such a beautiful song. Want to play this during the birth of my daughter....coming soon. 😀
Did you? I'm curious to know and congratulations too btw!
This music represents the good in the world. Eternally grateful for this song.
Great song! I love this artist her music is calming and relaxing and just awesome.
Always in love with this song. It's timeless.
Sitting in the back of the car late at night, through the city after a long trip home, this song and the passing lights was therapeutic
Norah brings a charming simplicity. Love her music.
This is my daughter's "birth song". She was born on a sunny morning in 2004 and this song was playing on my CD player. Ever since, on her birthday morning, she sits with me and we play this song.
This is so beautiful 💖
My adopted sister had "Don't Know Why" as hers, from the same album.
Norah Jones is a national treasure.
When my oldest daughter was a baby and toddler, this song would immediately calm her down and mesmerize her!!
My parents named me after her and I love here and this song ❤
One of the most pleasant and soothing voice I have ever heard in my entire life.
