- This video shows you some secrets that are hidden in Majoras Mask. The secrets are one reason why I love this game, and the other reason is the idea of the 3 days that are passing in "real-time".
But anyways, there are also some hidden scenes or dialogues that are only accesible by being there at a certain time or completing some tasks.
This is my first video and,you may see it,I'm not good at making it.But anyways, enjoy it.
I couldn't record the sound,so I just put in some TP soundtrack (ok, I think now that it fits rather well.) Songs are the Hyrule Field Main Theme and Faron Woods.
Please rate and/or comment!

The part with the Romani sisters...I've never seen that scene before...excuse me, I need to...go sit in the corner now... *bawls in corner*
:'( No other Zelda game has made me feel so sad. The Cremia and Romani scene really got to me. :'(
Awww, I think Romani and Cremia's scenes are the saddest. A sweet little girl who wants to grow up. A world-wise girl who knows truly that no one is ever truly safe, and has resigned herself to taking what she can out of life. A sister who wants to shelter her from the truth for as long as she can, hoping that their last night can be a happy one. Heartbreaking.
Well after all you get a happy ending, the moon is just a temporal problem.
I can imagine the funny scene afterwards with Cremia so relieved about the moon's disappearance that she almost forgets she now has a drunk/hungover Romani to deal with.
4:15 Man, I really feel bad for Cremia and her sister. The reason she's giving Romani the Chateau Romani is because it will ease her pain when the moon lands. Good thing Link was there to stop it, huh?
It’s mostly to give Romani the chance to be an adult because Chateau Romani is a rite of passage that Romani will never have, because of the moon falling
That part with the Romani sisters made me cry... Giving her Chateau Romani even though she would never end up being old enough, and the promise of seeing her in the morning... DAMNIT EYES STOP IT ;_;
To add to the sorrow sauce, another reason behind giving her the Chateau Romani is to drug her so she does not feel the pain when the moon falls down. It is very obvious that that milk is used for recreational purpouses and likely contains alcohole.
WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY MY EYES
You know, this sad scene can become a funny one if you realize Link stops the moon. Imagine both Cremia's relief when the moon just stops and a slight bit of horror because now she has to deal with a very drunk Romani.
Blank UA-cam profile
If that’s how it works, maybe. It’s possible that time is being rewound, not creating any additional timelines. Having who knows how many death timelines would be a little morbid for Nintendo, even for this game.
Those last two reminded me of just how depressing this game really is...
omg.... that part about Anju and her mother discussing the emotionally worst of possibilities about Kafei... I sympathize deeply with Anju... even though she is a polygon... well I sympathize with ANYBODY who has had to go through emotional and confused times like that
I remember how sad I felt when I found the swordsman hiding in the back of his store. It's this thing you don't ever really consider, how the rest of the characters feel about the plight of the world. Majora's Mask did a phenomenal job of conveying their fear, trepidation, and humanity in a way that most modern games can't even do.
The Romani and Cremia part is really sad. Cremia knows that the moon will fall and they will die and she wants to make Romani's last day memorable. Of course, what it makes it REALLY sad that Romani doesn't know this. It made me cry... :'(
aw, the feels...
exactly, that's why i love majora mask over ocarina of time, the history is so dark and sad that's just perfect...
Cremia knows there will be no tomorrow (unless you do something about it) but try to make Romani's last hours happy and perfect... the moment when anju and kafei are finally together... just 1 hour before everything is going to dissapear... man i love this game...
PD: Anju's mom is a bitch.
I cried at that part :'(
@@kingshoutmon5256 Not to mention, it's heavily implied Chateau Romani is alcoholic. If Romani is intoxicated, then maybe she'll remain unaware of their impeding demise.
VGamingJunkie And the fact that they sleep togheter... the last hug:(
Actually the two characters that you started to make friends in the game the most, are Romani and Cremia... You helped them save the cows, you helped them get the milk good to the town and you made them get better together as family before all is over. But as Link you don't want that to happen, cause you love them too much so you try to change the fate.
I didn't completely understand the part where Cremia asks Romani to sleep in her bed, and then I read in the comments because it was the third day... Now, i feel so sad for those two.
she wanted to face her imminent with her
I love how this game pulls off such powerful dialogues without all the pretty HD cinematics and voice acting. Cremia knows there won't be a tomorrow when she gives Romani the "grown-up milk" but she lies and says she's acknowledging how she's matured. There are so many beautiful moments in this game.
the other thing that people don't often really seem to take note of is that Romani milk is fermented, it's alcoholic. Cremia is giving her sister alcohol so that she'll sleep. So that she won't wake up even during the massive earthquakes that come with the moon falling.
She's sparing her sister the horror of waking of at the end of the world. Letting her sleep and dream in peace all the way to the end.
That's just tragic
Nice example of "show, don't tell" when we see them walking together : the little sister is clueless and happy, the grown woman is bittersweet but compassionate...
Seeing Cremia accepting her fate really picks at me... :(
"Fate" my ass. I stopped that moon falling bullshit and kicked some Majora's ass! Not in my town, fucker.
@@ultimategamer2669 lmao
@@ultimategamer2669 That'd be great if Link saw Cremia before leaving.
Link: I don't believe in fate, your future is in your own hands.
Anju's mom looks like Kyle's mom on South Park

@@reala7140 🎵Weeellll...!🎵
Sonicsgirl13 I’m warning you!
When you were a kid, you always thought Cremia was finally letting Romani try Chateau Romani to fulfill her little sister's last wish before the moon falls. But when you grow up, it finally dawns on you: that's not the whole truth. Cremia isn't just fulfilling her sister's last wish-she's intoxicating her so she won't die in fear. And this is an E-rated (E10+ on 3DS) game…
For real? I didn't have a clue about this... wow
That's heavy af
Tbf it must be a fairly painless death since the fire ball consumes everything so fast you would be evaporated before you realize.
And that they did not add the blood that they had planned for Link when putting on the mask hahaha
My mind has been blown at the eavesdropping discussion in The Stock Pot Inn!! All these years and the countless times I've played through and explored, and never found that for myself!
Really? Lol
Of course, whether or not she listens is up to you. Getting Kafei's pendant is enough for her.
Jesus, I haven't cried in years, but 3:35 hit me right in the childhood. Thanks for turning me into a blubbering babby again, Majora's Mask.
You know whats sad about the Cremia and Romani one? Romani has no idea whats going on and Cremia knows there won't be a tomorrow...
:(
:'(
I'm way too late but who really knows if Romani doesn't know about the moon falling. I mean she knew about "them" coming and knows Cremia have a crush on Kafei. Like Romani is incredibly aware of things than the credit Cremia gives her for.
Nobody remember the history of the little girl that protect and hide his monster dad with a mummy malediction? That was traumatic!
It was! I felt pretty uncomfortable in this Scene D:
In tha video i saw the little girl was agitha from twilight princess
It was an animation though
The worst
You know you've been watching too many zelda videos when this one from 12 years ago gets recommended, vintage quality lol
I think majora mask vids are making the rounds because of their algorithm
When I was a child, video games were my LIFE, and I took it all very seriously. I stayed up late at night to play Majora's Mask. I was thinking of quitting and playing a different game until I stumbled upon the Ranch. Everything there felt so wholesome. But on day 3, when I saw that saddening dialogue...I didn't wanna quit anymore. I wasn't playing a game for fun anymore. I wasn't playing to stop evil. I wanted to help the Romani sisters. (And as a child, I had a huge crush on Cremia.) I finished the game. And I didn't just have a sense of completion...I felt like I did the right thing.
I remember watching this video as a kid, and it just now came up in my suggestions… Holy man, it’s burned into my head each clip to the music and the style of effects, I watched it so many times! 😂 I didn’t even know I had this buried in my memory like that. So nostalgic! 🙌🏽
As a kid I did not pay much attention to what was going on in Majora's Mask. I don't think I was interested in stories in games back then. Plus my older brother and dad were the ones who played the game all the way though and I did not see a bunch of the stuff they did.
Anyway seeing the thing with Cremia and Romani here.... That is seriously depressing...
An interesting, unknown fact is that LoZ: MM borrows two songs from non-Zelda games.
Sakon's Alarm in Sakon's Hideout is also the alarm in "Sector Z" of Star Fox 64/ Lylat Wars.
The song "Farewell to the Gibdos" by Pamela's Father is also the "Roundabout Music" in the Haunted House of Super Mario 64.
Nah it's different from the haunted house theme, but it's close. same instrument.
theres a secret easter egg where you can see a creepy face in the lottery room if you flip and press c up while aming at the lottery both it takes a couple trys but there is a face that follows you
Gods, I'd forgotten how depressing this game was.
1:46 ... waaah??...\ : 0 ... so many years, my favorite zelda, and did not know that. i think that's first time the real link, hero of time, has gotten an up close and personal female affection. lol.. this is crazy.
@@lesphirou Well, if you think about it, he never really had a Mother and the closest thing to a Father was the Deku Tree.
link's been through countless things so if course he needs a hug once in a while
To think after so many years of seeing this video as a kid and now randomly being shown this because of the algorithm is a nice treat.
Glad to see this video again!
Welcome back! I was more a teenager back then and it feels like an eternity when I did this video but it kinda feels nice knowing that some remember this video fondly.
@@Myriadis hehe, thanks for the welcome!
Yeah, I remember then showing others the stuff I learned from your video back then. But as I didn't have an account at the time, I didn't know how to find your video again.
Fun times :D
Wow, this video is from 14 years ago and the creator is still responding to new comments. I hope everything is well in your life Myriadis.
Cremia gave me a hug when I did the mission a second time
I love how Cremia hugs Link.
Me too.
this was the best n64 game, most thought-out of them all.. i can't imagine the amount of time put into the story
Who knew that such a simple line that you hear EVERY DAY which is "I will see you tomorrow." would be such a SAD thing to hear when its suppose to make you happy?
This game was amazing, really amazing. it has so many sidequests to do and each day are different, fascinating for a game released 2000.
I loved OOT but the more im playing MM, the more my love for this game growing!
I think we can all agree that Zelda is probably the only game that comes out around 5-7 years after the previous game and still amazes us on how great it is.
#3 is a bank vault, not a door.
If you look closely, right to the right of the vault door which you so proudly pointed out, there is a brown door next to it against the wall...
I remember the time I accidentally discovered that, when you're a Deku and the dog attacks you while close to Kafei, he'll get attacked too. I thought it was so hilarious 😆
The Cremia part had my heart clenching from the sad.
Jesus Christ, I remember watching this video as a kid. Thanks for uploading this and giving me some form of entertainment!
love this game, so full of mysteries!
Ah... this takes me back to the good old days...
CREMIA IS ADULT MALON FROM OoT
ROMANI IS CHILD MALON FROM OoT
o.o
im probably wrong
the developers only had 1 year to make majora's mask, so they reused lots of character models from oot
@sandalssuck that's why the hug made Link feel warm and fuzzy inside
x3 And after the bubble said "You could get used to this!" I also assumed Link never got a legit hug from his Mother before because she died when he was a baby and that 'fuzzy' 'warm' feeling prolly was directed towards that :3
Last thing I went to see before killing majora
16 years later, thank you for making this
theres also a zora peeking into to a female zora room. "not a slimy fish"
Yeah, but that's not an easter egg.
Almost everybody has seen it.
😉
Aww! That's so cute, Cremia's hug! You feel all warm and fuzzy inside! That's funny!
I laughed when I realized oh Twilight Princess music... wait but Majora's Mask... Video...
Same timeline, TP happens probably not too long after MM.
Romani Ranch looks creepy in day 3. Creamia was so sorry to Romani because Romani was "brainwashed" when the aliens returned her.
#3 it's clearly where all the Rupees are stored
Cremia: this isnt very big, but take it as my thanks (hugs him)
Link: well i thought those, i mean that, was pretty big
#3 is a vault, silly
This is exactly why it's so easy to lose yourself in the story of this game, and why it will always be one of my favourite video games of all time.
Maybe the 'door' behind the banker is a safe or something?
Well I wanna know what's behind that DAMN door!! (sigh) only if the people who made Zelda told us
this game is so amazing. I mean the way that scene and so many others played out is more emotional than the entirety of many modern games. As the 2nd/3rd video game i ever owned (even before OoT), I have always had a special place in my heart for this game. When I came back and played it as a teenager the things I had not yet understood just resonatted and made me love this game that much more.
1:45, motorboat
I would complain about adding in music, but I must say, I'm impressed. The second tune fits the mood of the scenes quite well.
All of this is new to me, and I've played this game many times. You know it's a great game when you just keep coming back for more secrets.
Well the year of luigi is continued to 2014 the 2 years. But now Secretly it's the year of majora's mask not much of a secret when it's discovered trough other nintendo games ( recent )
"It's a secret to everybody..."
Tell that to shrek :D
:D
I feel the exact same way :)
I was mesmerised by the heavyness of the moments in this game.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe it's on the older version of MM that Cremia hugs you, and on the latest version she just gives you rupees because Nintendo later felt the hug was too awkward?
msw0322 naw she still hugs you in the 3ds version
Josh1179237 Yep, I found that out when I got my 3DS copy. Lol
msw0322 sweet
@@Josh1179237 but her...emh...has been really resized. D:
I have Majora's Mask but I never knew either the secret of the guard wanting to know about the carnival, the hidden door in the bank, hurting Kafei, and killing Sakon... none are listed in the player's guide.
goodybye ben
Cremia's hug is reeeally sweet :3
Fail majoras mask video with twilight princess music O_o
Putting the Faron Woods music whilst talking to Cremia fits in very well together. Good choice in music.
Omg when @ cremia and romani parts :(
Cremia's Hug is the best one, by faaaaaaaaar
The legend of shota? xD jajajaja
Plus, in Zelda Ocarina of Time, Link pulls out the master sword inside the Temple of Time. After he has the master sword out Link will look older and everything has changed. It has been 7 years after he pulled out the master sword from the small pillar. When Link comes out there will be burned houses and bunch of ReDeads in the market. If you go to Zeldas home which is hyrule castle there will be skeletons, boulders, torned hyrule castle, and Ganons Castle which floats on the mantle.
The evil majora Skull Kid was from the lost woods. He wanted you to play him Sarias Song which you can only learn it in Zelda Ocarina of time.
I have played Skyward Sword and I think it is a great game. There are several things it does wrong (like some bad padding or no text skip), but there's so much done right. Awesome music, great bosses, wonderful landscapes, sidequests that are actually closer to Majoras Mask's quality and interesting puzzles.
It isn't better than Majoras Mask for me, but it is a worthy, absolutely great Zelda game.
The cremia and romani scene made me cry for like an hour...
I enjoyed it 😁
Something about this video motivates me to keep coming back to it. I guess it's because of your choice in music according to certain situations, like the serious theme surrounding the morbid conversations with Cremia and Anju. It makes me contemplative; there's some satisfaction in coming back to things you saw when you were little and didn't fully understand -- understanding now and finding yourself wanting to play again. This, to me, is why the old games were better.
The last 2 parts of scene 4 are the only ones i haven't seen, so thanks!
I just love the pessimism, the paranoia and fear that is everywhere during the third day... Its Nintendo, but its not a happy game. Sometimes its downright depressing. And that's why i love it.
Also, why TP music?
You know when the creators made great story and dialogue when you're shedding a tear over certain characters. The cutscene with cremia and her sister made me sad :.(
Thanks UA-cam for this ancient video
This game was always so sad. :( Beautiful, dark and emotional. This game is only equaled in greatness by Ocarina Of Time.
Damn this video is so well detailed thank you very much ❤️
awesome video :3 This game is, and will likely be for a long while my favorite Zelda game. Only until they decide to make something as epic again, which I can't wait for >w< Time limits and/or new lands... I'd like to see another eventually XD On a side note, I hope they choose to remake this for the 3DS when it comes out like they are with OoT. I'd much rather have this than that, but alas, popularity rears its ugly head again.
1:54 I think Link is enjoying that hug. Like, a lot.
Wow I didn't realize how sad this game is when I was a kid. This game is truly a masterpiece because of all the characters and the story. I actually like it even more than OoT because of it.
That Cremia and Romani scene at the third day is so dark Jesus Christ
Milk from Romani ranch is supposedly the “alcoholic beverage” in the game
Cremia is literally just putting Romani to bed before they get crushed- so that Romani doesn’t experience the apocalypse- if anyone failed to pick up on it
Cremia is a great sister
I wanna die this just really got to me
Now this is quite the find
Love the creator came back to this video just to put chapters in.
Naaaaaah the description was always like that, the algorithm is just smart enough now to understand that these mean chapters
Hey, vey nice video. Didn't know there was a scene to watch at the broken wall in the hotel.
I remember watching this video back in the day... this was how I learned MM is more than meets the eye
I always thought she did it to numb the pain of their incoming demise
There is a "dialogue" with Romani the second day after she was abducted
But she doesn't say anything
Amusingly, there's a bit more with the conversation between Anju and her grandmother. If you read the grandmother's diary on the first day, it says Anju's cooking is terrible and that the grandmother has a plan to get out of eating it. XD
Mannnn i wish i could go back 14 years to the date this video was posted ;'(
1:46 Link:*thinks*.....yay!!
thats actually pretty touching, the whole scene with Romani and Chataeu on the 3rd day.
man i gotta play this game again...
good point :D
this is one of the reason this is my second BEST zelda ever, it has to many things and secrets, and is the saddest game i have ever played.
Haha I've seen most of those! xD But some of them are interesting and I've never seen. Thanks for sharing! :) Such a dark game...
12 years and I still believe this is the BEST game EVER made.
Dat Cremias Hug, Soo much... LoL
As much as I prefer OOT over MM, MM was just soo full of these dark little tidbits that made the game really fun. Both easily the top 2 LoZ games ever.
Warm and fuzzy.. Yeah.. warm...
I love Majora's Mask, it has so many little details that it takes years and numerous replays to find them all.
"This is a kind of parallel world that is similar to and yet different from the land of Hyrule, which was the setting for the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time." (Majora's Mask manual, pg. 6)
Note that the above also helps explain why NPCS belonging to their Hyrule-counterpart role are so similar to each other.
I seriously do not believe it was due to engine limitation. Even for the era, I doubt the engine was so limited that they couldn't model, animate and texture up some new type of NPC.
