Focus on both the rendition plus Gladys soulful voice. A helpful suggestion, when making covers of other's music, put something in there that makes you both stand out, bring new or specific life to the song e.g. the way Gladys did? Cover bands are dime a dozen, however, a song tribute can become something empirical like Joe Cocker did with The Beatles covers?

The guitar volume is too high.
Her vocals needs nurtured not overpowered.
I'd love to here this with a half-volume instrument.
