Quick tip.. you don't need expensive ceramic coating. Just pick up some furniture spray wax from the local pound shop and use that. Re apply after a wet ride or a wash. Works a charm on my titanium beauty.. Forms an invisible wax coating..
I've found that you WAY overpay if you bike "bicycle specific" products that are literally just overpriced shit from the car world. Wash, wax, brake cleaner, etc. If it's "bicycle specific" then it's like 2x as expensive or more...
The MagCad site/product is pretty awesome honestly -- but no rider on any long ride is going to sacrifice hydration for a giant solid tool case. We don't have team cars following us so other than jersey pockets or in-tube storage...saddle bags are the way to go.
Wonder euch direction Cycling Weekly is heading, because the obnoxious advice of slamming your stem is a No No! Regular riders are not pros no what what power efforts one may generate. Pros ride for a living, have highly ruined and adaptable bodies from decades of riding/racing. "Mere mortals" sprogs not even try to emulate them!
Not a single pro would sacrifice a bottle for a tool “barrel”. Horrible waste of money. Idiotic. Bottles are essential. Compact saddle bags are very effective.
Unless you're a 'poseur', who cares? Back in 1977 when I was racing USCF Category 3-4, I and others copied what the pros did. In hindsight I seriously doubt that it made any of us faster because were simply weren't pros who train daily and race at an elite level because that's their livelihood.
Don’t use protector, saddle bag, forget the bell even if your cycling environment requires so, etc etc. When your frame is busted, Sam Guptha is ready to sell you another new released frame, no? Who cares how the pros look, they don’t pay for our bikes, they ride on different surroundings with a lot of guards. Even the pros use saddle bag when training. Ask the pro to ride on a busy road without bell, hope they survive. We use those accessories because they are necessary to use, not to pose (a poser) like a pro. One doesn’t use Federer’s racquet specs if one only serves 30mph & runs to the net like 80 yo grandma
Exactly 😂 And the 50g saved for the steering tube... ...is absolutely worthless, if you're stealing an apple from a roadside tree, you already lost that advantage 😅
Don't carry tools to repair a puncture or if you do then have it take up value water space so you ride dehyrated. What is this..... We don't all have support vehicles following us around.
That’s completely not the case. Football shoes, tennis rackets and balls, golf clubs and balls, swimsuits, all the outfits, you name it, in all sports amateurs want to use the stuff their idols wear...
Totally disagree with you on the saddle bag. you can’t tell me that a big ugly tool bottle looks good. In my mind it looks ridiculous. A small tasteful saddle bag, like a Silca looks Very neat and tidy. The tall bottle looks bulky and unneeded

Nice! Solid tip! Thanks

I find having a fat middle aged bald bloke sat on my bike makes me look more pro than Jonas van der Pog could ever dream of.
Nothing wrong with being fat, middle aged and bald.. as long as you don't wear white shorts or forget to wear socks..
Jonas van der Pog probably does not give a rats @rse how 'pro' his bike looks.
I feel offended... 😂

Heh, was about to comment exactly the same thing.
Exactly! Exactly why regulars shouldn't emulate Pros!
this video is like a series of ads
Done tastefully. I enjoy an ad since I’m on UA-cam Premium 😂

I've done nearly all of these things and my FTP is still only 260w. What am I doing wrong? ;-)
You already tried wearing a rainbow jersey?
I wouldn’t prefer to loose 30% water volume in the bottle from 750ml to 500ml to avoid a small saddle bag.
I like white seats but all white bar tape degenerates to grey within a few rides. So white seat, black tape. Soz!
I got into cycling because a pro bike is simply gorgeous. I finally built my dream aero bike, and I utilize each and every one of these tips.
Not a single pro would sacrifice a bottle for a tool “barrel”. Horrible waste of money. Idiotic.
Bottles are essential. Compact saddle bags are very effective.
It's like Cycling Weekly have lost their bearings! What shambles
Probably it looks "more pro" using real and functional water bottles 😂
Um… Pros most definitely use saddle bags. Not while racing, because they have a crew. Saddle bags are one of the absolute best accessories.

Ditto!
The reason my bike is so cool is that I have it looking just the way I like it. 👍
i have ridden with pros in Gerona and none of them carried water bottle tool carriers ?
Another tips will be changing the stock rim to mid or high profile rim, looks cooler & sportier
Every pro rides with saddlebag
Big rims
Where can we buy this

False, squirt or SILCA lube or similar are as effective and easier than wax.
Turtle Wax Ceramic spray coating, cheap and works great for protecting paint. Thank me later.
April fools right? ...right?
A 6 MINUTE COMMERCIAL::::
Why would you want your bike to look more "pro"?
Exactly 😂
And the 50g saved for the steering tube... ...is absolutely worthless, if you're stealing an apple from a roadside tree, you already lost that advantage 😅
Under the saet no bag but light yes😂😂😂😂
Use fake (pro) stickers! Cannondale does it, so we all are allowed to do it as well
Just buy new bike and drive in nature and enjoy😉
you can just us a water bottle
You could, but water bottles typically have smaller opening, so not as funtional.
why does it have to look more pro in the first place?
Just buy nee bike and drive in nature and enjoy😉
Rather than a Gay bell, simply back pedal. Most people use air pods anyway, so they can’t hear anything.

This is especially bad as multiple bottle cages and vending machines are both banned. How can cycling weekly get away with this?
Just learn how to drink less or plan your rides on routes with water fountains.
Thanks for the advice. Not sure though what the point of a 'Pro' looking bike is. Insecurity ? You sound like a low budget marketing fluffer.
Why does cycling keep banging on about looking 'more pro'? No other sport cares about looking 'more pro'.
That’s completely not the case. Football shoes, tennis rackets and balls, golf clubs and balls, swimsuits, all the outfits, you name it, in all sports amateurs want to use the stuff their idols wear...

lolol
How to make your bike look more stealable?
Why am I watching this crap?
