PHP also has Laravel and this is MVC pattern where code is always well structured talking about subscriptions, Effective ORM (Object Relational Mapping),Libraries & Modular and many more... most of all you wont be scratching youre head while deploying nodejs projects with dependency errors!! laravel is very stable talking about Hosting.

You can use the cluster module of NodeJs for CPU intensive tasks. I've been using it for a few months. I'm getting a considerable increase in performance that I need critically for background processes.

@@HiteshCodeLab I see a react tutorial on your website, but no vuejs. Its too bad you dont have a course on nuxt.js or nest.js....As if your developing a website that SEO is important server side is better for SEO. Any tutorials for nest.js or nuxt.js? Any recommendations to learning that or tutorials you would require as nothing on your website.

I'm a php developer. I wanna say how about comparison on frameworks ? Laravel is unbeatable as a framework. Also php has many great content management systems such as Wordpress , drupal , joomla , Woocommerce , Magneto and..
And with php 7 and also php 8 is comming , Php's speed has increased significantly and most of php's weaknesses has been covered. So I say the future is still unknown ... I'm quit optimistic about php.

Bhai sahib you just dont need to worry about php' future at all. About almost 5 years i also panicked while hearing the php was over and node was going to sweep across the entire world web but php improved alot eversince and has performed even better than before . You cited excellent examples of php frameworks which are still dominating more than 70% of world wide web. Php has persevered and will stand its ground I am sure...So carry on working with this great programming tool.

The many reason people use nodejs is the frontend data consumption... Having said that I've coded php so it only sends the changes to the frontend all from the back end don't have to worry about promises and states as PHP has sessions already. Works like a dream perfect single page application. Also completely SEO friendly. Best of both world.
Maybe I should publish my script as would save the internet so much traffic... Specially in PHP cms's etc

I think "Actual costs" should have been splitted to "Development costs" and "Runtime costs" to separate runtime costs from development costs which should consider average pay level of developers. And for development costs high cost is better if you're a developer (more money for you) but worse if you're owner of the company (more expensive technology for the same results).

I love your comparison videos Hitesh. However, I feel Symfony makes it much easier to write APIs in PHP. Also, there are so many Symfony bundles for security and other tasks that make it easier to implement things without reinventing the engine. Doctrine feels much better too than Mangoose. This is very subjective though. Your thoughts?

The nice thing about PHP is the whole shared-nothing request container architecture.
In each request you have a clean state with no left overs and some guarantee that you are not piling up memory leaks over requests. This allows easy scaling. Since recent additions like preloading to the engine the performance cost of recreating the world each time is also heavily reduced.
This greatly matches the HTTP model and makes PHP the true web language for the server side.
Fast prototyping. You can spit out a proof of concept in PHP faster than you can boilerplate Hello World in some other languages. I can’t upload a go file and have it just run. I have to compile it, upload it, and run it. PHP is plug and play. Upload a file and done.

My experience is that nodejs is far more complex to code well than PHP. There are far more complex library depencides, far more varying syntax, far more to things to jump over because asynchronous nature of JS.
JS easier to setup as server, easier to put up development enviroment. But when complexity grows so does the need of developer to correctly understand JS syntax, scopes and its features. As does the need to write additional code to kill the asynchronous nature of JS and handle library/module depencies.
Because that I would do exactly opposite. I would take Nodejs for easy and small projects. But for more complex I would take PHP. Because my subjective experience is that nodejs grows in complexity far more faster than PHP further you go. Its just when you do small projects and setup development enviroment it feel easier. Which it is.

PHP is far slower than NodeJS.
NodeJS Mongo combination should be a factor, because NodeJS is asynchronous in nature and ensures non blocking execution. It doesn't wait an independent callback to complete. And so is Mongo, faster.
Php on the other side is synchronous in nature and has to wait for a running instruction to execute in order to continue execution and that is why is a lot slower and suitable for smaller projects because it's old and there is a lot of a community support for PHP and ready made projects and frameworks and scripts. But it's slower and hard to manage than Node Js

I could never understand how it is much more fun to create apis in nodejs compare to Laravel, I mean i always find things get messy easily in nodejs, hence no fun after a while

I disagree with the community. The Node community is way better in terms of available "modern" solutions. You mentioned the use cases for Node and that's what drives the, let's call it "more modern", community. No doubt the PHP community is huge, but it's days are numbers.
You also missed being able to program in the same language for both the front-end and backend as a HUGE advantage of NodeJS. There are more and more frameworks being created where isomorphic code is the selling point of those frameworks. A good example is Quasar Framework. Being able to program only in JavaScript is in great advancement in developer efficiency.

Can you compare Spring vs Laravel vs Express vs Django please?
I am a Laravel + Node (Express) Developer, but I started my programming career in Java, so there is a soft corner for Spring in my heart.
So I'm confused whether I should listen to my heart (start Spring framework) or my mind (be there in Laravel and Express).
