I think it's because when you buy shoes online they are never sent just in their box, the seller probably thought they should send in a different box or bag to protect from damage in the mail.

Some eBay shoes are legit! You need to look at the rating and feedback if you want to buy shoes cheaper! I buy mine from there like Real Rihanna Creepers and adidas and huaraches to name a few they are genuine and very affordable or originally priced! As a Sneakerhead (who has been wearing Yeezys since day 1), I can tell you the Yeezy world has totally different rules. Unless you buy them at retail price (which is nearly impossible), you will always have to pay a resell price above what you'd expect, especially if you're going to a store like the one you mentioned, since you are paying for assurance that you got a legit pair. You got a good price on the cream whites (if they are a real pair) - nowadays the prices are a lot lower for V2s (compared to V1s) since they are a more GR pair (which means more pairs available) and everyone is wearing them these days. You never ship them in the actual Adidas Yeezy 350 box they come in because it decreases the value of the shoe. We always put the box in another box when selling. If you showed the bottoms (look at the boost) and all the sides (including the inside) of the shoe more clearly I would have been able (or any sneakerhead who knows yeezys would be able) to see if they were a real pair or not - you just gotta inspect all the angles.

My opinion is I wouldn't risk buying Yeezys on Ebay cause nowadays there are literally replicas that look like originals. So a safe bet would be to always ask for tagged photos from the seller and then legit check them on the Internet. But the cream yeezys did have a very high stock so there are affordable legit pairs for a reasonable price on the market :)
