This is the most inspirational thing ive watched yet, specially seeing someone learn english from scratch and building it up on their own must have took alot of patience, willpower, trust and ofc anguish but at the end you didn't allowed your grades to define you instead you took it as a motivation to work and work harder. I am so impressed by you and thankfull to have watched this even, cuz albeit i have spoken to english all my life and gone to international school's i still feel as if there is room for improvement.
Side note: seeing the sheer amount of notes and flashcards you made makes me feel less crazy wen i stick my flashcards on the wall besides my study table. Hehe. ❤🙃

I just got my exam results and ended up with an A. Although I expected an A*, i guess i should still be grateful for my result🙏🏼 I watched this video and prepping for my exam and it gave me so much hope.)

This is so helpfull, can you please share your solved past papers although you have done it about 6yrs ago I just need to see your teachers annotations and markings on you writings wince I don't have a teacher to make my essays for me as I am a private candidate, and I also overthink efl sm, I always think my writing is not good enough and I will never be prepared enough for the exam. (Btw I'm taking mine on oct/nov session 24')

could u help me out a little? WHAT DOES ORAL ENDORSEMENT MEAN IN 0500 EXAMINATIONS?!? all the eng lang papers im having (thats 2) have oral endorsement written on them. does this mean they will be speaking papers only and not written?????? SOMEBODY HELP ME OUT😂😂
So for IGCSE English First Language 0500 Centres may also choose to enter candidates for the Speaking and Listening Test (it is optional so u can ask your school whether or not there will be a speaking test). Marks for this optional
Speaking and listening component do not contribute to the overall grade and candidates will receive a separate grade for the written components.grades 1 (high) to 5 (low).
So to Sum up,
All candidates take paper 1 (reading) + paper 2 (writing)
And then the oral endorsement is component 4 which is optional and does not affect your overall grade (you will receive a different certificate/grade/award for the speaking and listening test/component 4 and it will NOT affect your paper 1 and paper 2 scores)

When you came to Malaysia and prepared for IGCSE, did you enroll in an international school or other private institutions for IGCSE?
I came to Malaysia at the end of March in 2019, and from April to August I studied English in an English centre. Then, in September I went to an international school :)

Hmmm I am not entriely sure, but you could give it a try? If you think it's not heading anywhere, then you should get yourself a tutor! Perhaps just once a week so he/she can correct your mistakes or give feedback on your work :)
For paper 2, did you choose to write descriptive writing or a narrative?
I did narrative!! Since I assumed that my vocab wasn't sufficient to write a descriptive essayy
