nice video. tryed hanningfield reservoir for trout on lures from the bank but all day and not even one take. i guess its worth it to get a boat. i think its hard finding trout without boat or trout doesnt come close. ? watched many videos on youtube and everybody using boat
Thank you. Boat will give you better chance of catching trout. I fished twice from the bank. First time we smashed them, but second didn't catch anything. All depends to where the wind is blowing when you fish from the bank.
@@hungryfish7352 understood. the wind was blowing to the bank(to my face) very windy day was. of course could be that it was my first time trying to catch reservoir trout. but will try again this year.

We were at hunningfield on Saturday and we fished from a boat. It was very successful day, we managed to land 8 each in few hours with soft plastic lures( camola ) and fiiish Black minnow colour white.

Sorry, for the late response, but I'm a bit sick at the moment. Blade lure are great you can cover big distances and different debts very quickly when you searching for the trout. Once you find where they sit you try any lure. Every time they will prefer different lure and colours.
I fish at bewl waters every 3-4 months, but usually catch about 2- 6 fish in 8 hours. Any techniques
Summer time is the most difficult time to catch trout. Water is too hot so better avoid it. Spring and late summer when it becomes cooler will be best to go. In order to find them I would start with lures that I can cast far and that is diving down to 2 meters. For me lures that worked best before were vib lures, tiny wobblers and spinners. My last three visits for me worked best spoon lures with weight 3gr like anthem dohna and soft plastics(made by Peter Lakov) with small tungsten bead as weight.
