    I know it's an old video but I just feel like I want to specify that prep (dehydrator) and primer are really not the same thing no matter what system you use (a primer and a bonder on the other hand is usually basically the same thing).
    If a system has both a dehydrator and a primer (some systems only has one or the other, but most brands has both) they are two different things. The dehydrator is only meant for dehydrating the nail plate and removing oils, and the primer can do two things depending on whether it's an acid-free primer or an acid-based primer. An acid-free primer dries shiny and leaves a super sticky layer to help with the adhesion between the natural nail and the next product, it acts like a double sided sticky tape. An acid-based primer dries "matte" and seeps in to the nail plate creating tiny microscopic holes and anchors the next product to the nail really really well. Sorry if I sound rude or if I offended you in any way, that wasn't my intention at all 🙈
    I just want to share my knowledge and the right facts, that's all 🥰🤍 Anyway! Other than that I think it's a great video! 😃🌸

    Can’t wait to try all this! I have horrible luck with these damn things popping off. They take me FOREVER to do a set so it’s really frustrating. I’m so slow lol

      Usually after 90 seconds it’s cured anything that’s sticky I wipe off with alcohol! Hope that helps💕

      Really? Hmmmm. Let’s troubleshoot this. Mine last two+ weeks. 1) prep natural nail 2) prep full cover tip(etch it) 3)dehydrate(alcohol). Let dry. 4) use some type of bond. 5) I put a thin layer of a builder gel make sure it’s a builder gel or poly gel on natural nail and some on nail tip. 6) bring them together very tight and cure. 7) cuticle work with a buffer to blend in and prevent lifting.
      Hope this helps!!

      @@kittydev8073 do u flash cure the gel on ur natural nails before u apply the tips?

  • @chaozinga
    @chaozinga 3 роки тому

    And also, the Gelly tips are made out of soft gel/soak off gel. It's the same gel that's used to adhere the gelly tips 😊
    A flash cure is anything between 5-15 seconds (it's just meant to set the gel so it doesn't run, that's why it's called a flash cure) if you cure for 30 seconds it's not a flash cure anymore 🙈
