What are they planning to do with 576? Sorry if this is a dumb question I just found out that it's getting moved for a reason I don't know so that's why I'm asking.
Full Restoration, to be placed back in Active Duty on Her Home ails to the thrill of Thousands of people who will ride her thru the countryside (like me)
jed-henry Witkowski that is leftovers from a small derailment in that area the ground was too soft for them to bring in a crane to lift them so there they sit till it firms up. (Unsure if they Are still there)
Best place to go is Nashvillesteam.org or go to their UA-cam page currently the drive wheels have been sent to Chattanooga for rebuild/repair. And boiler is being worked on.
They need to enclose that Train covéring with glass or plexiglass to keep acid rain off of 576. Also to ensure all her parts remain on the locomotive this time. Smile's...
It’s on private property now so would be a litany if crimes if they make it that far and the accessories will be returned likely to their safe location.
Some day the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum will have a little competition! Great work Chris!
It’s not a competition. It’s a collaboration...
I'm a big fan of the TVRM and thought they might be involved in the rebuild. Nice to have a close resource of knowledge and experience...
A little? Provided we can get it running to more than just Watertown, they’ll have a LOT of competition. This is huge
The locomotive was very cool!
these train's are what made a lot of people want to be working on the railroad's of America.
great job on the video!!! ty!
That extremely low shot was great
Agreed. Nice touch of creativity.
Of all the days for me not to be randomly on Nolensville rd
Chris, is there a shed of some sort that we will be able to work on it in?
It is in the shed there i believe the lat long is 36.1556, -86.7526 per apple maps
Yes, and it is awaiting # 576 (Now inside it)
I have a railroad spike from the track that 576 was setting on they gave it to me
Do they just run the GE's compressed air to the 576 whistle?
Yep. All ~140psi
Yes. And it didn’t sound right because it needs steam and a cleaning 😂

They are going for full restoration, coal fired, and back on the track operation. Can't wait.

@@TheScotsCherokee Thanks for the info that sounds awesome. Now I'm super hyped.
Chuck McDowell not quite on home rails. CSX won’t let anyone run steam on their track at this point, and the NC&STL never ran anything on the TC.
I got the railroad spike from Nashville Tennessee
I’m first!
