Jamie obviously has a lot to learn about life in the UK. Sometimes people hit hard times and without family support or something to fall back on life can go very sour very quickly
I was homeless for about 5 months in Bournemouth, due to sharing rents with several people at a time in nice big houses. splitting the rent 8 to 10 ways in a 4 or 5 bedroom house was cheaper than a single flat, as bigger houses are so hard for landlords to rent out as there isn't the demand for them. As some fellow house mates moved onto universities or changed jobs and moved away, the remaining members of the houses had to find a bigger slice of the rent and it became unaffordable. I had a car, that had just had a lot of MOT work done to it, so I didn't have deposit plus one month money available, and I had to live in my car for 5 months, and the days where friends would let me stay on their sofa, or behind their sofa for a few days at a time were so appreciated. I never stayed more than a few days and kept it all clean and tidy. there were still many days where I'd need to drive up the a338 and sleep a layby in a small rover. Freezing at night and sweating hot in the mornings with the sun up early was no picnic.. and I had it lucky. It saddens me that so many buildings are left standing empty in various states of disrepair, but no access is given to homeless people. The urbex channels show so many places that could be made available and give a little relief to people in real need. Your kind spirit started this ball rolling, and the generosity of the cars under £3k guys made it that much more possible, and I believe your viewers, new and old, have a great respect for you for making this happen, and all the best to Michael in the future

Beautifully done. I was on the streets for a few months almost 50 years ago. I still remember the kindness of some of the strangers l met and am grateful to have been able to pay it forward a few times since then.
Michael has such a sweet and genuine smile, im wishing him all the luck in the world, some people who get it rought really dont deserve it, and the opposite too unfortunatelly (looking at you people who hurt him and so many others). This is great Alex, beautiful mensage and gesture, amazing from the guys of cars under 3000, they sell cars for a living and yet they did this, just because, its just pure kindness of the heart, makes me believe that there still is some hope to have in this world, people like you, who do this things, thank you.
From experience, what he needs is somewhere to park up while he fits the van out. He needs tools and materials like insulation, panelling… and then he needs the correct insurance and a secure park up where he can keep the van and sleep in it undisturbed which has access to a toilet etc. Some businesses on industrial estates would welcome him as a sort of on site security. I wish Michael well and thank all involved in making this happen.
Good form, Alex. We need more of this...imagine what can be done with more generous car dealers and folk like you. Good luck Michael, stay safe. It only takes one person, with one kind thought towards another and a difference can be made.

That's a really good gesture from the garage, and I'm sure being in this video will create a lot of additional customers that will more than cover the value of what the van owes them. It's a win for all involved.

Alex, this will bring anyone watching this into tears as I had, man you have a great heart. So happy that he can have some rest in a safe place.
Alex you sir are an absolute legend! This is, without doubt, one of the best things I have ever watched. He is a proper character. Would be great to follow his story.
Nice one to everyone that helped this. I have been homeless myself and know how demoralising it can be. Thank you Alex and paying it forward is the best. I do it whenever I can.
Beautifully done. I was on the streets for a few months almost 50 years ago. I still remember the kindness of some of the strangers l met and am grateful to have been able to pay it forward a few times since then.
Alex, this was so heart-warming! You have the heart of a man that's at least 8 feet tall.
cracked me up
Michael has such a sweet and genuine smile, im wishing him all the luck in the world, some people who get it rought really dont deserve it, and the opposite too unfortunatelly (looking at you people who hurt him and so many others). This is great Alex, beautiful mensage and gesture, amazing from the guys of cars under 3000, they sell cars for a living and yet they did this, just because, its just pure kindness of the heart, makes me believe that there still is some hope to have in this world, people like you, who do this things, thank you.
This is a pr stunt
@@blue_red_screen if it benefits both them and the guy I don't see a downside
@@mscd9676 there is a downside. He's basically saying "I'm such a good person". Pure narcissism
@@mscd9676 how do u know the "homeless" person actually got the van?
From experience, what he needs is somewhere to park up while he fits the van out. He needs tools and materials like insulation, panelling… and then he needs the correct insurance and a secure park up where he can keep the van and sleep in it undisturbed which has access to a toilet etc. Some businesses on industrial estates would welcome him as a sort of on site security. I wish Michael well and thank all involved in making this happen.
Michael seems like a lovely man..im so pleased he has been helped like this
'Come here big boy' Alex loved that!! Good on you all for getting this lovely guy a safe place ❤️
Good form, Alex. We need more of this...imagine what can be done with more generous car dealers and folk like you. Good luck Michael, stay safe.
It only takes one person, with one kind thought towards another and a difference can be made.
Such a great video! Glad to see someone get the help they need! Hopefully someone watching this can help Michael insulate and board up the inside to make it some more comfortable! Good luck Michael!
Thank you Cars Under 3,000. What you did, Alex, to help someone, it was always going to be a good story because you started it and now it's something much bigger. Well done. This deserves to get picked up by all the other channels. Is it too soon to see how Michael and Destiny are getting on?
Why don't you give him a job Alex, I'm sure he would make you proud. 💯 You are a good man Alex and you have made someone's life so much better out of the goodness of your heart and this is why we love you. ❤️
Well done to the trader for giving that to a good cause!
They traded it for publicity. Was a great advert for them so worth the trade.
@@MrSplcrazy giving 50% off would have given a similar effect. not every dealership would have done what they did, so I appreciate it.
@@MrSplcrazy Why are you commenting this in every comment that has something good about the Cars Under 3k? Bruh...
@@HazewinDog no where near as good an ad as giving 100% off.
@@angelocabral2001 pointing out that usually charitable acts are a veil, its easy to discover the real intent. Amazes me how people can't see it instantly. But then people do just believe everything they see at face value 🐑
Good show old chap, frightfully spiffing work.
Heart breaking stories. But what a great way to help. Awesome that he is working so hard to recover. And that his journey got somewhat easier now. Greatly appreciated that you and cars under 3000 did this!!!!!!!!
❤
This is great for Michael, I'm genuinely really happy for him. That van represents freedom, both physical and emotional, no matter what happens or how much money he has he'll have a home and transport. I kind of wish I could have a van myself but my disability prevents me from driving.
No matter how out of reach it seems , you still got to try …… this just lit a spark for me
❤️Thank you Michael
🥰🙏
I feel so lucky that I've been able inspire you. I hope you get what you're looking for. Big love.
People like this man, and the gentleman that donated the van are so very needed in this day and age. May God bless and protect them. Good deeds, just like bad deeds, cause ripples that can be felt on the other side of the world. Act accordingly....
Such an amazing act of kindness! well done Alex! and wishing Michael all the best for his future
Excellent work Alex and cars under 3000, restored my faith in humanity and used car dealers. Good luck to Micheal. 👍
I'm not really into cars but I watched this and you made my heart melt!! I read his story and he really has had a bad time the smile on his face was beautiful.
I really enjoyed that, really appreciated the lack of fuss and nonsense. Nice to see a genuine story told for genuine reasons.
Good effort Alex 👍
Forget simply making great content....this was just an exceptional thing to do for another human being. Kudos to yourself....and carsunder3000.....doing things like this help people believe that decent people still exist in the world.
I hope the channel goes from strength to strength.....good luck and keep up the amazing work!
You helped a guy who deserved it. Long may you prosper, and good luck Mick.
I'm sure I know you did we meet on wall Street?
Had me in flipping tears Alex!!!! Good work…
We all need to “PAY IT FORWARD”
I am in tears.. he is so deserving and so humble! Thank you for helping him. 💕
Awwww, I feel all warm and fuzzy, and just when I thought humanity had all but abandoned itself. Respect!
I’d love to see some merch with “ be nice, pay it forward” written on it. Maybe the profit from it could go towards another heartwarming project like this? Or maybe even just help to get Micheal some food and any new parts needed for the van?
110% a great idea!
This is such a wonderful thing to do for someone in need . Great video mate
Sad his story. Must be like that for all homeless people . Can not believe it’s 2022 and we still have this problem world wide
🇦🇺
Never seen someone so excited to sleep in a car really opens your eyes to different perspectives on life, be grateful for what you have someone will always want your problems in life
Great work Alex, I would love to do things like this (if I had the money lol). But yeah maybe you should open up a donation page that is ongoing and then find the people who need it the most and make more videos like this. Win win for everyone
It's so nice to be nice
@@Kevin-sy9oo What a sweet comment.
I can't believe how kind and generous Alex is going out of his way getting a van for a homeless person. WE NEED MORE PEOPLE LIKE HIM
It loses charitable status when you let others know about it.
@@MrSplcrazy absolutely doesn't.
The revenue from this video will pay for that old van many times over.
I just cried. Nice birthday for me today to see this across my timeline. As a homeless transient looking to join Vanlife.
This was a wholesome video and it really touched me emotionally. This is how my faith in humanity is restored. Best of luck to Michael and looking forward to your content on the new channel, Alex!
This was absolutely awesome to see and definitely restored my faith in humanity. Made me tear up a bit
The garage doing it for publicity to increase their sales and Alex running ads on the video for his own monetary gain.
Genuine charity is very rare.
@@MrSplcrazy you would rather see a video of a shitbox?

Absolute legend Alex and equally so the legends at Cars Under 3000... If you can change just one persons life for the better, the world becomes more beautiful ❤️
Whether you did it to get views or out of the kindness of your heart or even both I would like to say: well done mate, you're a bloody legend and keep doing your thing because it's brilliant!!
I love how simply wholesome this video was, the perfect speed, perfect amount of content and great content. Great job Alex, all the best ( and thank you carsunder3000)
I'm soo glad you've finally made you're own channel, After hearing from yourself that you didn't own or run "car throttle" I knew you needed to make a channel for yourself.
Proud to watch this video and proud to see you make one of the best career steps in your life 🙌
It's humbling to think that we are all just a fluke of bad luck away from also being homeless. Respect your fellow humans. Amazing what Alex and his team and the guys at CarsUnder3000 did for this man. Micheal I wish you the best of luck with your future endeavors mate.
so glad you’re doing your own thing your own adventures! I really hope ethan and jack make regular features the three of you remind me of clarkson hammond and may! An iconic duo
I spent 2 winter in a tent in Ann Arbor, until a similar situation set me on the right path. There really are some incredible people out there in this world. Keep your head up and stay strong!
How very thoughtful and generous of you to help this man! You literally changed his life. ❤
I wish I was able to do this kind of stuff for people on a daily basis, I can only do it when I can but it's so heartwarming the feeling you get when someone truly appreciates something they wouldn't have had if it wasn't for you it's amazing!!!
THANK YOU ALEX!
Absolutely amazing there should be more people like you in the world Alex! ❤️
This is so heart warming to watch. A beautiful gesture made to a gentleman who was simply a victim of circumstance. Good luck mate.
That's a really good gesture from the garage, and I'm sure being in this video will create a lot of additional customers that will more than cover the value of what the van owes them. It's a win for all involved.
Exactly that - it's a 200k mile van that came in on part exchange, they won't have lost a great deal in money to give this away, but the kindness shown will undoubtedly bring them some extra business and hopefully good karma.
Alex raising the bar single handedly! Props to the Dealership too 👏🏻
After watching world news getting more grim by the day- it is so inspiring to see positive, good, kind stories! We can all do Something for others who are honestly trying to make a living and make a comfortable life for themselves- this act of kindness should inspire us to open our hearts, be grateful for what we have and look around us to see who might need a hand. Pay it forward.
Genuinely teared up at this, I loved you on Car Throttle and love that you’ve started your own channel! Can’t went to see what more you go on to do, who else you go on to help and what the channel holds for the future!
Gave it a thumbs up in the first minute. Well done Alex! Keep up the good work and thanks for making quality car content!

The smile on his face said it all 😍 And I would like to wish Michael good luck for the future, and much happiness.
Sometimes it just takes someone to ask and businesses can donate. Thank you Alex for asking and putting together this moment of kindness!
Lovely to see you doing more great videos to help people. This wholesome content is perfect fit for you mate and amazing to watch! Keep up the good work and I hope your channel continues to grow as it deserves.
That was a wonderful thing to do. We need more human kindness. The inhumanity by people to others who are struggling is beyond comprehension. You should only look down on people when giving them a hand up. You have literally changed his world.
Thank you so much Alex for organising this! Great show.
Bravo Alex. I was homeless once myself when I was younger. It just takes a few gestures like this to get you back on track. Great episode! Much love.
Brilliant, what a wonderful thing to do.
Well done to carsunder3000.
