I was pregnant what felt like all of last year. I felt so sick all of it and then when my nausea kind of went away, I just felt so huge and uncomfortable. Pregnancy is so so rough for so many. Then the newborn phase is so incredibly rough. It’s a marathon having these babies I swear. You got this Nikki! You are getting through it!

My husband is from CDA and we considered moving to that area. Cost of living is much cheaper where we are though. I find it fun to see places he showed me on visits & places he spent part of his childhood in your videos!
I'm 8 weeks pregnant and living with HG. I do a whole lot of nothing. No food sounds good and not much stays down. I am hoping to get a referral to regularly receive fluids. I am sorry you also have dealt with it but I'm finding comfort to see someone so far along with it.

My grandma had this when she was pregnant with my mom... of course that was back in the 50s and no one knew what it was but she could only eat peanut butter and jelly sandwiches the entire time and lost 60 POUNDS. It got so bad that the doctor told her she should have an abortion, but she didnt. No one could believe her baby aka my mom lived. It really was a miracle to everyone.

I am so happy for you guys!! I was just diagnosed with the same thing. Im only 6 weeks and its really bad. I can barley eat. Its been so hard to get through the day. How did you manage to at least eat?
I am so sorry 😞 I can hardly even reply cuz it makes me sick but I’ll try quickly…basically for a while there was nothing I could do but survive…sip and bites here and there…it was (and still often low key is) torture..half the time or more it would come up…but even when you puke it up you’ve supposedly already absorbed nutrients! I will say this…DONT wait to get help with Iv fluids if you are throwing up and feeling dehydrated…I’m 100% convinced I made the problem worse early on by being severely dehydrated on and off for weeks… I’m sorry friend. Just literally take it one hour at a time🙏🏻
Oh honey I know so well how you’ve been feeling the same thing that happened to me as we discussed I lost a lot of weight at first but by the time I had him I was able to eat and had a bit much.🤣⛄️⛄️⛄️⛄️⛄️⛄️

I’ve been watching you for so long now since you were seems like a young girl… so proud of this woman and wife and mother you have become. The lord is so good 😊 !! I bet your so tiny I can imagine you get full fast. My girl is 21 now, she moved to the state of AZ and is a 911 dispatcher for the AZPD. I’m an empty nester and no grand children from my 40 year old son. Oh well maybe it’s time I focus on me?

I use fragrance free cream on my itchy pregnancy legs… it works like a charm… I got one from Marshalls, and it’s cheap like less than 10 bucks… I feel the scent from lush is too overwhelming for me when pregnant… I’m sorry you had a difficult time with nausea. I’m part of the lucky group that feels so good when pregnant, I threw up a couple of times but second trimester is like such a good time!
You are soooo blessed girl! I know everyone has their cross to bare in life, but I’m glad this one isn’t you! Lol but not lol also I’m glad you found a lotion that works for you! So funny how we all respond to things so differently!!😭🙏🏻

That cat follows everyone in this neighborhood home from time to time! And actually it used to be another cat…but then that one died and now this cat (that almost looks identical) follows everyone around sometimes randomly! Lol
Also I’m allergic to cats!😭
My ankles were SOOOO itchy in the first trimester!!!! I also had sickness in the first and into the second trimester and got down and depressed 😢 ans I didn't even have hyperemesis, I can't even imagine! Praying you are on the road to recovery

I feel for you on such a personal level.
Last winter, I could barley move because my abdominal wall had torn.
This winter, I’m also struggling with HG in my first pregnancy.
I got diagnosed with HG at 10 weeks when I ended up in the ER almost unresponsive from dehydration and lack of nutrition.
I couldn’t keep anything down. I wrote it off as morning sickness and thought I was just being dramatic.
But nope, turns out it’s VERY different. Most people don’t understand unless they’ve personally gone through it.
The only thing that’s helped me keep food down is Zofran. I’d much rather not be on a medication but the alternative was much worse.
Anyways, from one HG mom to another, sending you love.
I hope you get that big drink of water you’ve been craving and can keep it down!

I had HG with my second pregnancy it was the worst thing I ever experienced. I lost 20 pounds in 2 weeks. Inwas hospitalized and then had a nurse come to my house for IV/fluids. It was such a dark place. I still have PTSD if I really think about it. I wanted to terminate my pregnancy because I couldn't take it anymore. But my son and I have such a special bond. I would do it 100 times over for him.
Isn’t life incredible?! Something that can be so hard and depressing can turn into something you wouldn’t change for the world…?!?! Life🥹😭🙏🏻💕

Thank you for sharing your journey! I think it’s important to share the low points or hard points in our lives. You are moving through with such Grace and it’s inspiring, and also encouraging at least to me when you admit sometimes you can feel better and yet all you can do is just eat. I don’t have that but sometimes I just don’t feel well for whatever reason and I feel like I don’t deserve to sit or just take a day off, I feel like other moms can handle this and that I should be able to as well. Again i don’t have what you have of course but I still find you so encouraging. Also you look beautiful 🥰

Sure! I guess I don’t call them that alllll the time but yes:) baby P is in the house! Or I guess I should say my tummy lol
The only thing that helps with my eczema is beef tallow! I tried so many other things to no avail (even the Dream Cream). But beef tallow is so natural and good and you can probably get it from a local farmer!
That’s amazing!!! I use tallow on my face and chest as my daily moisturizer but oddly it didn’t work on my dry itchy stretching skin?!! Wild what works on different people!!
@@NikkiPhillippi So crazy! I haven't been brave enough to try it on my face as my skin doesn't like most things. Haha! But I'll try it sometime soon! Maybe I can find a Manuka honey/beef tallow mix... My face is a big fan of the Manuka honey!

Thank you! I am too!!🥹 also I got lucky!!! Brooke is an independent provider with a mobile practice! I don’t have “insurance” I use a health sharing program and they cover my care wherever I choose 🙏🏻

Sending you so much love, Nikki! If I may ask, did you have HG when you were pregnant with Logan? Just curious if it’s worse with #2? I’m pregnant with baby #1 now and wondering if subsequent pregnancies get worse because of mineral nutrient loss.

I hate even thinking about what you said cuz that might be the case…?🤷🏻♀️ I tried sooo hard to care for myself between babies but you might be on to something…I’m definitely going to invest into my recovery and nutrition post partum!🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

My time hasn’t been as tough as yours but I’ve lost weight due to the heavy nausea so I can sympathize with being housebound especially in the beginning. Another thought I had to consider- working on the liver. I know you’ve taken a lot of ibuprofen in the past (which can burden the liver), so liver support may help too if you’re not already doing it

We weren’t in the cold weather at that point and we hung with the kitty for about an hour! It didn’t even occur to me to bring food out tho?! I feel dumb lol that being said I’ll never let a wild cat in my house! My sister did that growing up and we all got fleas🫣😭 anyways, memories. Lolol thanks for the well wishes!!! 💕

So excited for you ❤. I'm glad you're starting to feel better. I'm also pregnant right now with my second and it's crazy how rough pregnancy can be on the body. Thankfully I didn't have HG rough, but have had very low iron levels that prohibited me from really doing anything other than laying down the whole 2nd trimester. Praying for healthy deliveries and smooth postpartums 🥰

I just found out I’m pregnant again with my 5th not in my plans at all to have another baby my youngest is 6 and just the thought of starting all over again I’m going crazy everything was just perfect my sleep no diapers no sleepless nights but God had other plans for me so here I am trusting him I haven’t started the fun part yet morning sickness 😝can’t wait 😂
