You are correct to point out that Galactus was a survivor of a previous universe, however in the marvel universe, Unicron was, too. In fact, in Issue #74, Primus told his creations that when tiny cosmic fragments of the old universe reacted with each other and brought form to a new universe, when Unicron eventually realized he was no longer alone, he set about destroying it all over again, thus implying that he was the cause of the previous universe's destruction. In fact, this isn't entirely inconsistent with Galactus's story. Since Unicron has been around since the very beginning (and before), every possible parallel universe would therefore have a Unicron in it, and he has been known to not only be able to take what he wants from other realities and times, but he may be able to cross that threshold himself. A battle between these two could very likely turn into a slow, but unending and confusing cycle with some paradoxes in the mix, just as it is between Unicron and Primus.
I think not only does Galactus win but he stomps. Galactus' ability to eat is monstrous: in an alternate timeline, Galactus was sent to the dimension of magic and wound up devouring all the magical energy around, to the point he straight up ATE Dormmamu and as a side affect, technology and magic were merging at a multiversal level. He's also done things like eaten Mephisto's realm ( Mephisto being one of the strongest Demons in Marvel and even stronger in his own realm) and his ultimate nullifier is capable of destroying/recreating the multiverse in the blink of an eye which is what was used to kill Abraxas.
Ithink In General, Galactus is most likely to win, but I do think Unicron is a hell of a lot stronger than you might think. The Generally accepted canon is that Unicron is a dark god, given a Metal form when he was trapped in an Asteroid by Primus. He devours entire universes, and gains power from them. He manufactures his own minions, and can regenerate so long as Hate exists. It wouldn't be entirely inaccurate to say that Unicron is a sort of Force of nature in the Transformers series. Fight as they may, and defeat him as many times as they can, Eventually, Unicron will come to devour all.
@@casual-CrusaderNot like it matters anyway. The Zero Point would be a Multiversal Artifact, which wouldn’t mean anything in a fight like this. Galactus has the Nullifier anyway, which heavily outpowers any wank you could somehow give to the Zero Point.
While Galactus is the preferred victor for most, I wouldn’t count Unicron out yet. At his strongest, he has quite a lot going for him from what I understand of the two (which I will admit is not everything, considering both of their vast histories); and honestly were it not for the Ultimate Nullifier, I would give this match to Unicron hands down. First, Galactus’ energy absorption is far more of a detriment than an advantage in this match. Unicorn’s energy is a deadly poison known as Dark Energon, one which corrupts the soul and brings beings under Unicron’s control. As I understand, energy/food poisoning and maybe soul manipulation are weaknesses of Galactus, and he may end up falling for them all on his own if he tried to absorb Unicron’s energy. Which I understand is a common move of his against cosmic enemies. Next up, while Unicron is no scholar or museum keeper; he is able to replicate many objects and life forms he has consumed over the years. In fact there is a far more reasonable argument for him to produce helpers for this fight than there is for Galactus summoning any heralds for help, since Unicron actually produces his helpers. Unicron’s last advantage is that he seems far more unkillable between the two, being a multiversal singularity conceptual being with a hive mind of bodies in every universe across the multiverse. Destroying one body is an inconvenience. Destroying his true self causes it to become a multiversal black hole. Also I remember him having a regen factor as long as hatred exists. Meanwhile as i understand, if you kill Galactus, difficult as that can be, you kill Galactus. (Well it seems he can revive himself, but it also seems it can take a while, and we know from Discord that you still lose if you’re dead for too long.) Now again, everything from the above paragraph can be overcome with one full power (and I do mean full power) shot from The Ultimate Nullifier. That things seems to be one of the strongest things in Marvel, I’ve heard it’s one of its only true threats to Marvel’s entire multiverse. But I honestly wouldn’t discount the possibility of Unicron winning before it even comes to that.
Galactus already had a story like this where he was absorbing magic and it was having a... disagreement with his digestion. He eventually just overcame it, ATE Dormammu outright and began changing the very nature of the multiverse merely by existing as his existence was causing magic and technology to fuse at a fundamental level. It was so bad that even the Living Tribunal couldn't stop it and Mephisto had to make a deal with Doctor Strange in order to rewind time and stop Galactus from being sent to the dimension of magic entirely.
Funny thing is everything you say that would make Galactus the winner, Unicron can also do. Also depending on what they use Unicron can't be killed. His Spark can go and posses another body of his in another universe. So to me this is anyone's game here. Edit: Also in the Marvel Transformers comics Unicron and Primus' fight as gods is what destroyed the first Universe. So in theory Galactus could take blows from Unicron, but again Unicron wasn't focusing his attacks on anyone, but Primus the destruction was just the fall out of their fight. So Again I don't know who will win. LOL
This is how I see it. Unicron destroys and kills because he wants to. Galactus destroys and kills because he needs to. Unicron can destroy an entire universe while Galactus is a universal destruction survivor. I say Galactus will win, and eat Unicron for good measure.
Galactus ultimate "nufer" need something that can power it at that level. It has been prove weak unable to kill weaker opponents. Couldn't even kill him with Richard charging it with the power cosmic.
Let's also not forget about the time when Galactus fought darkseid from dc comics and nearly STRAIGHT UP MURDERED HIM!!! Allow me to explain: darkseid's true form as well as the planet apocalypse hails from a realm called the "3rd world dimension" a plain of existence larger than the multiverse. The "boom-tube portal" is meant to shrink 3rd world beings so they can visit the multiverse without destroying it (think a elephant crushing a paper plate). With that in perspective, Galactus arrives in the 3rd world dimension with his own power (without a boom-tube), wipes out darkseid's army, BARELY noticed darkseid hitting him with the FULL POWER of his omega beams, and with the BAREST MINIMUM of the power cosmic nearly ended darkseid's life!! Galactus did ALL of this at his WEAKEST HUNGERY STATE!! And darkseid's true form fought (and killed) 5 beings each individually as powerful as the Christian god with narry a scratch! Galactus meanwhile nearly killed darkseid's true form on his own turf and left ONLY because apocalypse has no life energy to feed on. New Genesis (apocalypse's next door polar opposite) knew exactly what Galactus was capable of even at his weakest, and wisely cloaked their world from view. Therefore i can say with the upmost confidence that Galactus can solo the entire dc universe save only for "main continuity" superman.
