With all of the striking going on in the industry I find content such as what you're sharing with this video incredibly helpful for the layman to understand the amount of skill, experience, knowledge, dedication, effort and time that goes into the production of something someone may watch once on Hulu - not taking into account the effort it took to produce it. Transparency on production complexity makes it easier for the public to appreciate unionized workers striking for their interest. This is awesome, Justin. Thank you.
Thanks for the tips, the footage looks great. I think I'll go watch Seven now. I'd also love to watch a video of your favorite movies and the movie scenes you've found impactful/drawn inspiration from.
My thoughts exactly. I hope we're coming to the end of the soft light, shallow depth of field trend, it's so non-committal and lacks intention. This looks pretty decent though, but not amazing. Good on Justin for sharing these techniques all the same. I'm sure his audience will get a lot out of it.
Nice one Justin! Good doc and great breakdown. SPECIFIC!

Congratulations on the gig, bud! Not always a fan of "super soft" but I definitely want to try double breaking soon!

Do you know if EL Zone from SmallHD works with Nikon Log?
i don't recall seeing Nikons log in the menus. I believe it's just Canon, ARRI, RED and sony right now
