I own the fx6 with fx3, and prefer the fx3 for solo narrative, indie work. The one thing that elevated the fx6 was the Zacuto EVF for outdoor work. The Kondor Blue (purple) HDMI cabling is great, but SDI will reduce the chance of broken cabling or plugs. I've already broken one hdmi cable attached to fx6. The Alistair Chapman fx6 audio mount is really solid, too. If anyone is still reading, I really prefer shooting on the fx3, but the 6 has a better image at shallow depth of field. I'm just a solo hobbyist, so I kept it for weight as I have an EasyRig Minimax. Good luck creating.
I know. To me, the shots just look better from an athesthetic perspective. I don't know why. Should be apples to apples. Especially noted on macro shots (90mm).
What beautiful Rig, well laid out, and totally functional for the work that you do. I wish I was way younger and had such fantastic gear to work with and to assemble to meet my needs. My old BetaMax Camera could not do 1/100th what you have right there. Great job on this video and being able to explain what and why you did certain things that benefited you !
@@JustinPhillip There is some really cool things that can be done with film and video of old. Glad you are enjoying the mix of old and new......it will always be fun !
Justin you are not crazy. To put it more precisely - I tend to come back to your videos randomly, unlike some other video channels on this platform. You're good in both senses.
Naw it's officially clap back season Cam Mackey just replied with a video diss lol. Never would I imagined that video guys would be throwing disses towards each other. Especially video guys that I fuck with lol. This is amazing 😂😂😂
It’s not an sponsored video, but you could also add links so when people buy the creator of the video gets a commission, there’s always a way to promote and make money it’s part of the game.
Great stuff ma man , hope your good.. I have a question if I may… how are you dealing with noise in your footage from the fx6 , perhaps software or are you unaffected .. be graceful for your insight .. once again really enjoying your thoughts and work your doing here on UA-cam 💪💯👊
Thanks! The game changer for me was turning off the cameras internal noise reduction. Leaps & bounds difference! Before i did that i honestly thought something was wrong with the sensor 😂
2 FX3’s is my main camera package. Mostly because of the form factor as I hated the eng style camera. Had a FX9 and didn’t like it. Just overall loving Sony’s lineup. Sold my Komodo in May as well 😅 just doesn’t make much sense anymore in 2024 run & gun stuff
Don't you think you could get a better quality image from a different camera? I know it's fine for documentaries and news but feature films seem a stretch when there are much better cameras out there. I'm not trying to be antagonistic.
@@JustinPhillip I don't know what the price range is so I'm not sure what to compare it to or what not to. If you DPed a feature and the production rented the camera would you choose the FX6?
Good call on the FX6, by far the most requested camera even in south Florida
Thats wussup 🙌🏼
CAMera Mickey is one of the most fragile video creator on this website.
fragile ego? this punk started this shit, so you telling us just let that shit slide?

Why does fx6 have better shallow dof? Since its both fullframe

Justin finally realised that gear videos bring in the sponsorships and money.
No sponsorships here buddy,
It’s not an sponsored video, but you could also add links so when people buy the creator of the video gets a commission, there’s always a way to promote and make money it’s part of the game.
I think I might be "the guy from youtube shorts" haha glad to see someone else has converted away from the silly stock mic mount
Oh awesome! Been looking for you! 🙌🏼
Glad to see you talking about the FX6 and Sony in general. You need some GM lenses on that thing. Breathing Compensation is must have. ❤
Nice build out Justin. Keep up the good work,.❤

Like what? I dont see any advantage in image compared to anything else in this price range. Image is irrelvant to the lighting.

Before watching the video, the answer is: Yes, you are crazy, and I love it!
😂
Yes u are
How Sony F55 compere to Sony FX6?

Stop talking gear, Talk your art. Isn't that your rant?
No, no it wasnt. I think you should work on something called actively listening.
