  • Never plant tomatoes without this. Large fruits and more tomatoes
If you follow these few tips when planting tomatoes, you can expect healthy and large fruits and lots of tomatoes. It often happens that we bring tomato seedlings to plant, but the plants seem to wither. If your tomato seedlings are in poor condition before planting, here's what you should do.
Soak the tomato root in water before planting. The root supplies the plant with water and hydrates it. A trick for gardeners is to add a spoonful of sugar to that water. The plants will quickly revive and be ready for planting. Another important tip when planting tomatoes is to plant them deep.

The fruit will not get larger. It depends on the variety. Just like apples, each variety gets to a certain size and your can fertilize all you want, apples will not get bigger.

Yes, tomatoes do not like water on their leaves and stems. Yet here the man is doing just that.
Always water early or late in a day. Never during the hottest time of day.

Don't bare-root tomato seedlings. Plant them with the potting mix attached.
This is not a good planting method.

Add wood ash only if your soil is acidic. To neutralize is.

Burn some firewood. After the coals are out, you can scoop up the ashes.

Commercialy produced 13-13-13 granular fertilizer works great. I give each plant a teaspoon of pickling lime and a teaspoon of epsom salts each weak, and a teaspoon of miracle grow also.

They are way too close together. A rookie mistake that after the first or second time you don’t do it again you learn your lesson or it’s just one big mess possibly some kind of dwarf plant that they should’ve mentioned they seem to be experienced gardeners but who knows Maybe they plan to just continually trim it into a ball shape

Not at all if you really stay on top of pruning…. But you have to in order to maintain good airflow and stave off leave disease problems.
