I wanted one badly anyway but this video has just added the last percentage to my decision, I am 100 percent getting one. I kept dreaming about owning the Type R EP3 but seeing as it would be my second car and I'm only 18 in two months, also after a wake up call from mom and dad I soon realised you don't always get what you want! I can't wait to get my Ep2 sport and to be honest jumping from a 1.25 75bhp fiesta to this will be perfect, I'll get the looks of the type r but not the speed. I can live with that! Plus after seeing one around town and watching loads of videos I've realised how nippy they actually are! This was an awesome review mate just what I was looking for! And the look on your face when you took her for a spin just made my mind up fully, that's what I want right there! :)
Kyle Taundry hey bro thanks for the Amazing comments. Glad this has swayed your decision. This car will keep you entertained till your 20. They really are great and put a smile on your face. With a few mods you will forget about speed. However for what it is it's quick in the corners and will take you over 100mph easily. Keep me updated on your journey follow us on Instagram @stealthbrotherz
Stealth Brotherz I'll follow you now bro! Yes I'll be sure to keep you posted with my EP2 journey/project haha. Nice to hear this from someone who has actually driven one! Figures don't mean anything until you've driven the car and I've yet to get behind the wheel in one so I can't wait! Definitley quick enough for a second car especially from a 1.25 fiesta zetec (great little first car don't get me wrong).
i went from a 1.25 fezza to an ep2 vivid blue, its good choice for a 2nd car.0-60 is faster then 10secs with spare and rear seats removed.nice daily driver!
My first car was a c4 coupe 110 bhp, and now with the ep2 it's just so much nicer, it has a much better reaction in the lower revs and it revs to 6000 + rpm's very nicely. Just make sure to get a k&n air filter and it will improve the throttle response quite a bit. Don't be surprised if you can follow cars with more bhp just fine. It's a great reliable, good looking little car that will get you enough performance when you need it and great mpg when you don't drive like a madman. I still dream of the ep3 but having the ep2 is still a fantastic experience for a reliable, cheap daily -
Planning to get one of these ep2s myself in a few months when I'm 19, currently drive a 1.4 polo tdi 80bhp 😂. The looks and the low price tag complete it for me. Insurance on an ep3 I'm getting quoted £10k, however on this £2k so not bad
I have a 2004 1.6 civic sport (type r replica) minus the seats. 125k on clock awesome looking car and still a great nippy car on the smaller roads. Any offers
Got an ep2 as my second car, after driving a 70hp, also tested on track. Nice power, sincere supply, low fuel consumption, the car has 110hp and you feel 110hp, not like modern cars. Today, less than a year later, i'm selling it and looking for a colt czt or something like that. After buying this car, you quickly feel you need more power.... (I also tryed and ep3 and it's another world)
Underdog you put this car in to words perfectly "110 bhp and you feel 110bhp" so true. And your right as soon as you own one of these you do desire progression to the ep3 or something quicker quite quickly.
I got an EP2 and I dont feel i need more power, it can reach 120mph, and with so much traffic cams/radars hidden is not a good idea. The only fault I find in this car is that gears are short.
You always want more power, even if you had a 300 bhp car you'd want more, but the question is, is it enough for a comfortable and fun daily driving? yes it is.
nice ep2 I've got the same car but pre facelift model . do you know how much ground clearance it has running 30mm springs? I'm looking to get some 40mm springs but 30mm looks a good drop.
+Ikillonaweekend Bro hi mate I'll have to check the exact ground clearance for you. The owner previously had a black ep2 lovered on 50mm springs and it was ok tbf. Only had to take the big speed bumps at an angle and watch how many people were in the back as it did scrub the tyres. So long as your careful 40 mm will be ok. Thanks for the comment 👍🏾
Stealth Brotherz cheers mate think I will go for 40mm springs . I'm running 16' enkei 4 stud type r wheels so prob be little bit lower any way . subbed !!!
Ikillonaweekend yeah I'll think you'll be absolutely fine bro. Those enkei wheels are mega. Your cars gonna look so sick. Keep us updated follow us on Instagram @stealthbrotherz be good to see your ride 👍
I have a ep3 type r and lowered around 40mm springs. Its pretty low, youll be fine on speed bumps...but i have a spoon n1 exhuast too...the mid pipe scrapes on certain bumps if you take them like a normal car would...you just need to slow down and go over them at an angle.
Honda Head hi mate. You have to be a bit sneaky and but the all black sticker and the all red sticker which you can find on ebay. Then stick the black one but peel the Honda bit off. Then on the red one only stick the Honda bit on bro. Type in sports mind Honda sticker on ebay 🤙🏾
Hello, great vid. I just purchased this car. It's my first car. I love my car and now i want to modify it. What mods would you recommend getting. I was thinking about a 3" full exhaust like spoon but i don't know. Can you recommend 5 best mods? Thank you.
Great video mate! Looking to get one of these for my second car (either EP2 or EP3?). Never would have thought I would get one, seeing as insurance is a joke for a type R, but was staggered to see how dirt cheap it is for a sport! Couple of questions - can you fit the type R alloys on easily / are they the same size as the standard alloys? And secondly, for the spoiler / wing, can you take out the whole tailgate and swap it for the tailgate of a type R? As in are the measurements the same? No problem if you don't know pal, you just seem to have done a fair bit and it looks gangster!
+bcwlstd safe bro glad you enjoyed the content and are considering one of these. The fitment for the spoiler is exactly the same so you just Need to take the ep2 spoiler of and it bolts straight in would recommend bonding with decasyl sealent as there aren't as many bolt holes to attract it with. Not necessary but Just to Make sure. No need to replace the whole rear bro. Also with the alloys fitment is the same aswell. Slide and bolt straight on. 🤙🏾
Stealth Brotherz Hi mate, ended up buying one of these last weekend haha! Body work needs quite a bit of TLC, but the interior and engine seem sound enough. Looking forward to spending some money on it!
Somerthing worth doing is regreasing the slider on the steering rack. They dry out over time, and sometimes start to stick so the car holds a bend. Not a long job to do, but defintaly worth the work. Also, depending on how well it's been looked after, it's worth putting new top mounts on the front suspension. Made a massive difference to mine! I keep thinking of putting a strut brace and short ram intake on it....
Im really considering buying one of these cars. I cannot think of a single car that is better at this pricepoint. Absolutely love the exterior, and even the interior is great at this pricepoint. Do you have some tips on what to look out for when buying one of these? Any common problems etc? Your particular civic looks amazing btw, its really similar to how id want mine to look.
AnimalzyNL hi mate thanks for the comment. Preety bombproof these cars. As much history and mot as possible. Rear caliper can stick and they can get wheel arch rust. Just make sure it doesn’t go past the 90”c water temp on test drive as that could mean your thermostat/ waterpump will need changing. Good cheap cars nether the less you get more than what you pay with these 👌🏾
Stealth Brotherz Thanks a lot for the advice! Its beyond me how these cars are so cheap now, but im not complaining. Great quality content btw, i left a sub! Cheers mate.

Hi mate, have you got a link where you got the sports mind sticker? I can find them in all black but want the Honda text like yours?
Honda Head hi mate. You have to be a bit sneaky and but the all black sticker and the all red sticker which you can find on ebay. Then stick the black one but peel the Honda bit off. Then on the red one only stick the Honda bit on bro. Type in sports mind Honda sticker on ebay 🤙🏾
Stealth Brotherz got you mate thanks very much for that!
Honda Head no probs
Are these easy to insure then as a first car because I really want one when I can drive so I can mod it
Nah don't try and modify much. Just the red h badges and maybe a type r spoiler. Anything else makes it look and sound like a rice rocket.
Unicorn_Jesus69 but could I insure it 🤷♂️
@@modifymedia3236 Yeah there not too bad. Mine cost me £2234 first year at tesco insurance. Mind you I didn't declare mods though ;)
Unicorn_Jesus69 thank you for the info mate 💪
Chris yeh 👍
In Canada, We don't have EP2, Only an EP3, and its a SIR 2L engine not a Type-R, they are sold like 4000$ in clean shape.
In Ireland there sold at €4000 in good shape
I could be wrong but does the type s not come with leather heated front seats too

+Farhan Rabbani yeah such a nice car and it's a buddy club exhaust. Sounds epic !!
is that backbox only?
Farhan Rabbani no this one has the full system. But you can just buy the back box and I believe it sounds good too.
Awesome. Does it still pass through mot with decat?
Whats the spoiler bro and did you have to mod it to get it to fit onto the ep2? What a difference it makes!
