@@wabbajocky8235 one takes a lot more precision than the other, yet it usually only affects a single target at a time and thus deals less damage overall. It gets fucked over by explosive classes if you try outdamaging them instead of keeping your finger over m2, so it's always a not-fun interraction where you have 1 chance of success while they have dozens. Sure it *can* kill light classes quicker than other flamethrowers at *point blank* damage, but it will usually takes around the same time anywhere in mid-range (well, except when it's further than 340 HU). Plus, those light classes have far superior mid-range options compared to you (Scattergun/Shotgun, Revolver, hell even SMG can do good enough if you can track well, also since you can't airblast as often anymore Jarate + Bushwacka Snipers can approach to you a lot easier), and you are moving at the base speed of 300 HU/s, so you won't get the chance to catch them at the necessary range for a 2 seconds kill 75% of the time. These penalties can get reduced by a bit with secondaries, but then why not just use any other Flamethrower at that point if your main source of damage is going to be your secondary as always?
Pyro only takes skill if you want too People only get mad at him because to be effective with him you only have to walk at the enemy but really pyro is a very satisfying class to pull combos with
Love how everyone whines abt w+m1 but usually the flamethrower is just a clickholding rocket launcher with the hability to fu#king deflect projectiles from classes that can actually kill you instantly because you're 25 less health than soldier useful, and then when the dragon's fury turns into a thing, everyone has an excuse to call it op. Like cmon this is literally the pyro meta but simpler and people still have the saliva and breath to call it bad, broken or op. It's not even funny to know that there is a community exclusively intended to trash pyro. Pyro is literally a close range class lmao.
funny thing is, with such a fast firing speed if you hit someone, you don't even need to switch to the scorch shot to juggle them and then back to finish them off, you could just kill them outright
true, i usually go for it vs overhealed people where i know ill need to connect multiple dragons fury shots and wanna pop them into the air to make it much easier
When the scorch shot pyro has skill
This shows how little damage dragon's fury does compared to w+m1s despite being the supposed aim rewarding flamethrower.
i usually feel like im doing more damage with the dragons fury, its moreso the ratio of damage:effort is still skewed towards w+m1 lol
It does more damage to a single target, the thing with WM1ing is that you can fuck up entire crowds of enemies
@@Gofaw and then die
And they probably won't since they have a medic
?????? bro what, you can murder a light class in 2 seconds with the dragon's fury, w+m1 takes like 3-5 seconds

This reminds me to that DS2 Multiplayer combo, Grenade + Javeling Gun Shot that is basically insta kill against necros.
I've always seen this training area before but never looked it up; where do I go to find the source code for the room?
