Scott Gorham and Brian Robertson both played Gibson Les Pauls, Thin Lizzy's Live and dangerous album is phenomenal, Still in love with you is so poignant and Brian's guitar solo is absolutely brilliant, really think you will love it, anyway i i wish you much happiness in your new home😊
My favourite Lizzy songs are " emerald, china town, and killer on the lose, and this one topmarks, " lady's and gentlemen, brian downey on drums ". Excellent 🏴 ✌️
@@heathcornbeef yes heath I'm well and good , I only hope the potential isn't learning the difference between " bad" and " worse" I've got everything crossed brother 🏴✌️
The live version is much better. Brian's drumming on the live version recorded at the same time as the live and dangerous album (which is on an EP called killers live) is fantastic.
This is one of my favourite songs by my favourite band. The only downside is the fade at the end, so there is a live version which rectifies that problem and which I like even better. Phil Lynott didn't shy away from dark subjects, I think these lyrics are some of his best. He once said something along the lines of: heroin takes care of business so you don't have to. Got to Give it Up and Chinatown cover similar territory. For something lighter, Vagabond of the Western World.
Brian Robertson on guitar - only on three tracks (I think), his last album with Thin Lizzy. He and Scott Gorham were great together. Check out some early stuff like 'The Rocker (extended version) and Little Girl in Bloom. There's a great track with Gary Moore 'Still in Love With You' (on the Nightlife album). Great band.
It's out there now 😊 and if anyone is going through addiction i feel for you kia Kaha (be strong) life can be so much better ya just got to hang in there and FIGHT IT
Another gem from Thin Lizzys list of great tunes ! suggestions on this bands list I may have repeated . Black Rose . Emerald . Waiting for an Alibi . Sarah . Southbound .Rosalie . Could you Peeps give Wishbone Ash another go ... pretty please ?? Tracks that are a must . Warrior . Throw Down the Sword . Lady Jay .Ballad of the Beacon Mother of Pearl . Rock and Roll Widow . Ps Cynthia . Pharmacys want you to be addicted to their products , so you are reliant on them , The root word meaning for Pharmacia means sorcery !!! MMMM interesting . Cheers , hope you have settled in ok !
Lizzy don't really have a Bad LP. They have a couple o Average Songs but given how much they have put oot, that's OK. This is a great track. Do "Roisin Dubh (Black Rose)" at some point if you can. I looked to see if I could find a decent Live version for you but theres no really one oot there. When I saw them Live this was a stand oot track.
Cynthia i know exactly what you mean about the painkillers i ended up addicted to opium (morphine) in my late twenties after being assaulted and needed surgery on my spine it took me two years to get clean it was one of the most HORRIBLE times in my life so far. I don't tell many people about it but it's my past and i can't change it and I'm not ashamed of it. I was one of the lucky ones I've been clean 25 years now and 29 years off the alcohol and have absolutely no interest in either of them been there done that NOT INTERESTED
Very good. Some Lizzy fans hold Robbo up as the best period. For me, it's got to be their purple patch with Snowy White/Gorham. They suited each other perfectly and Lynott was writing great singles such as Chinatown, Killer on the Loose etc.
Kia Ora hello my friends Thin Lizzy strangely i don't mind these dudes 😮 and you might have noticed I'm a fussy bugger musicly I've tried to open my mind but too much crap gets in. That opium trail killed Phill 😢 STINK ONE 😢
Now we're talking🎸🎸...Thin Lizzy.....pretty much the greatest duel guitar band ever👏👏👏👏
Any Thin Lizzy song is okay by me, this is another great one from them.
Tough subject matter, but a great song as always from Thin Lizzy. Thanks for the reaction.

It was the poppy that killed Phil Lynott!
A great song!

Kia Ora hello James brother how are you doing? Are you happy with your parliament potentially having some empathy for the people?

Another great track from the Bad Reputation album. I am glad you appreciate Brian Downey on drums .

I think it was Bad Reputation that opened you to Lizzy.
