I made a pvc hoop house with pvc and its gorgeous!.It has one long 2 x 4 down the middle to support the arch and sheds snow better than my house!
Little boys are hilarious. No shirt but long pants!
Ronda Corkhill yeah he’s quite the character 😂
I just want to say that I really enjoyed this video without the boring talk that every other video I've watched had in it. It was very entertaining and informative without the talk and I could see most of what you were doing and how. I also subscribed for the reasons stated above. Thanks!
Nola Parton-Jones glad you enjoyed! Figured it was best to just show folks how to build it from the ground up instead of build and then commentate about the coop afterwards.
Fabulous design! Thank you!
Your welcome!
Very nice; thank you for the material list, so helpful! With your kids using it like a jungle gym, it shows just how sturdy it is.
Foarte frumos 👍 , un adăpost de găini trainic. Salutări din Bucovina Suceava , România 🇦🇩.
Thank you SO MUCH for timelapse! This makes it so much easier to understand how to assemble.
petrichor your very welcome.
çok güzel
I appreciate your design of the chicken coop!! I was looking for something like that.
Claudia Calle [Student] thank you!

awesome chicken coop
abikulmarikul ID thank you!
I was wondering if using pvc this way would work, thank you for posting this as this pretty much was exactly what I was looking for
Chris Parrish awesome glad I could help.
Congrats. Great job. 🤠
Thanks!
verry good
Thank you
Hola bom dia estão todos bem te mando meu abraço Brasileiro
Sweet! I can build this. THANK YOU! Liked and Subscribed :)
👍👏
what are the hoops you bend and install made of? Wood? Pipe? They appear to BEND easy.
Thanks
In this build I used 3/4" PVC I left them in the sun for a little bit, its helps them to bend easier!
Nice build! Was wondering how much something like this would cost to build. And how many chickens can it hold?
Slash FN it really wasn’t that expensive well under 100$ wish I would have saved the prices. I think 7 pressure treated 2x4 1 tarp 8x10 then PVC pip. 1/4 inch wire around bottom and larger wire on top. I had some left over supplies I had from my first build. I have had 7 chickens in it. I imagine it can hold 10 or more depending on how many roost are in there and nesting boxes. Also if you just use this to house them at night time and free range during the day you can really put a bunch in there then.
Adding pcv to reinforced ceiling of cow panels seem to be something for me to consider ! 3 pcv 1 pcv for each middle of the 2 cow panels , 1 more for between each cow panels !
Awesome glad I could help. I have made a couple chicken coops with this method. Just bend them slow so they don’t crimp on ya. *I left mine out to get warm in sun before bending*
What do you do to keep them warm in the harsh winter weather months
I live in Florida so I don’t have that problem. But keeping the wind out and some decent bedding, maybe a heat lamp if you can secure it somewhere safe so that way it won’t start a fire. Chickens can tolerate the cold though. They are pretty hardy. Now chicks will need to be somewhere warm until they develop a nice layer of feathers.
I love it!...…..can you tell me the dimensions, mainly interested in the width. ty brother, damn fine job you did.
nottyl ttocs Thank you. It’s 8’ long and was supposed to be 4’ wide but I put my 2x8 on the outside of the 4’ boards I cut so probably 4’ 3” wide. Good luck!
Great video!! what are the dimensions for this coop?
Thanks, it’s 8’x4’ and 1/4 wire around the bottom.
The Outdoors Daddy thanks!
💋😎
How did you attach the plywood on the back to be sturdy and what size and length pipe did you use? That is the best chicken tractor I have seen on UA-cam.
R L thank you very much! So the back board rest on the 2x4 and I trace it to the curve of the PVC and cut it out with the jig saw. I screwed through the plywood into the PVC. It’s very sturdy. Let me know if that helps ya out! I believe the PVC pipe is 3/4 x 10ft. Be slow as you bend it or you could get a crease.
The Outdoors Daddy thanks for the reply. I’m going to build one this month for some chicks I have in the brooder now.
R L good luck 👍
The Outdoors Daddy thanks. The coop is working out very well.
R L awesome glad I could help! 🐓
Hi I’m trying to do my chicken coop the way you’re doing your chicken coop, but what tools did you use to staple the chicken wire to the wood? Because I’ve used a stapler and it’s not working.
L Mendez I have an air powered staple gun. Make sure the staples are long enough to hold the wire and penetrate some into the wood.
I don’t think a hand stapler will work. Need something with some power to drive it into the wood.
My back wood is wobbly how can I make it sturdy so it doesn’t move?
L Mendez secure to the base and the U shaped PVC or whatever roof material you used. Also add small strips of wood to bind all the roof supports together.
Where u get the plans and or would u share. The plans
javier Costilla I just made it up as I went. If you check out the description area I put the supplies I used. I’ll try to add more detail though if that helps. 👍
What is in the back of the coop?
Andrew Pepper A nesting box I made for the chickens to lay their eggs in. I just designed some out of plastic last week which I’ll be selling soon on my eBay account!
The Outdoors Daddy when I buy this house I’ll order one from you.
about how much did this cost you to make?
I don’t remember off hand. I added a material list in the description. I’d say under 100$
New freind here love your ideas come visit
