      @@bonsaiempire how is it so white? I also asked about the two toned bark bonsai. 1:13 2:05
      How are they colored? Natural, bleach, paint, etc?

    How do they get them to have the 2 colors? Like the brown bark with white? Is it paint, bleach, or natural? 2:04 and 1:13 (far left)

      On some bonsai you have dead wood (jin, shari or tanuki). to prevent this wood from rotting, the bark is removed from the dead wood and that wood is painted with lime-sulphur. The sulphur protects against fungus and the lime protects against bugs. The lime gives the stark white colour and the other colour is the bark on the live wood.
      The tree @6:15 was most likely defoliated and then painted with lime and then put on display with its newly sprouted leaves.

    Wonder if Bonsai grow well inside apartments?

    • @Woogitywoogity
      @Woogitywoogity 3 роки тому

      Lighting and temperature play a big role, if you have an area by a window in the apartment that gets plenty of light then there’s plenty of species you can grow. If you live in the northern hemisphere then a southern facing window would be ideal

    How much cost for each one?

    • @noralacayo9127
      @noralacayo9127 3 роки тому +1

      I'm no expert but a fully formed bonsai can range from $100 all the way to $200,000 and beyond depending on the age of the tree, how rare it is, and how many generations it's been worked on, etc. Now if you don't have that kind of money laying around like me you can go to Lowe's/home depot and pick up young trees that are basically shrubs and have only been growing for about 5 years and turn them into bonsai. You can check out another youtube channel Eisei-en Bonsai and he has tutorials on how to restore bonsai and how to create bonsai from new trees 🌳 Hope this helps! ❤

    If these are thought of as unique, then my stands made from old wooden telephone poles must be bizarre.
