I appreciate the attention to detail Brian uses when planning the course. Moving Delos before the worst of the storm is a mark of a wise captain indeed.
I'm a descendant of Thomas Tew. He originally set up camp in Madagascar along with Kidd. They were the original 2 pirates to set up camp there. They attacked the Arabian ships that would come in and out of the Red Sea and Persian Gulf. I'm hella jealous right now!! Knowing my ancestors were there and you got to see everything! Keep it up, cheers!
What an amazing place, after this episode in particular I find myself wanting more content and longer videos. I could watch Delos for hours and hours on end dreaming of the sea and far off lands I will never see. The quality is beautiful for sure but the videos from SE Asia/Indonesia/ Phillipines era seemed to be more content rich if not as well produced. Please understand that you guys are lucky enough to visit parts of the world where 99.999% of the people on this planet will never visit. I know it is rough trying to put together all these works of art but it is such a rich opportunity to show your fans stuff the BBC and Attenborough never could. Love you all and Peace, fair winds from AK
Hi Brian, Brady and Karin. Just to let you know we are NOT getting tired of the intro song Ramuknji by Onetox. Keep it because you have made it yours'e! Almost nobody would have heard this song if it wasn't for you. If someone hear this song 50 yars from now they will say: " Hey dudes, this is the song from S/V Delos!!! And they will pay great respects to Grandfather Brian and grandmother Karin and... Great great Grandfahter Brady. Hahaha! You get what I'm saying. Missed you guys 2 years in a row in Cape Town. Fair winds to St Helena. Love Werner Bezuidenhout, Western Cape South Africa.
I'm watching all the videos in order from start to finish. One thing I've noticed about y'all is that you have very positive interactions with the native residents. You genuinely like people and invite them into your home. I've only seen this with one other channel, Learning by Doing. Y'all are the perfect ambassadors for the USA and Sweden.
Adventure, Exploring, Culture, Fun, just never gets old on Delos, and the Pirate history lesson just pissed off Johnny Depp. This is what "Cool" is made from!
Love how these guys portray all the places they go to, it's easy to decide against doing these things on a whim when you hear bad stories about the places, or someone that has had a bad experience and written the whole idea of it off I reckon Delos alone has hugely expanded the cruising world with these!
Wow when you said it's been a year sence you were in Madagascar I flipped ,Time really flies even when you are a passanger on the Delos train ! Thanks for the memories they are great.
You guys broke the mold years ago. If you put together a montage of video from all your adventures, I bet you could sell it to the Discovery channel or some other syndicate. Truly fun to watch.
As TheHeez mentions above, they often release videos a week early for those supporting through Patreon. In fact, I've already commented on next Friday's video and it's sweet! Def worth the small donation each month.
That was cool and good catch, I had missed it but it is certainly the kind of thing setting these guys ahead of all other channels for me anyway. I am a complete delos videos addict, I was driving when it showed up and found a place to pull over to watch it the first pass on my phone.
Catching up with all the vids... at Ep.120 and climbing. Meanwhile, sorry, but Captain Kidd was hanged twice. Once in London, but the rope broke. So they hanged him again. But yeah, that was also London a few minutes later. Anyway, I keep another computer window open because you guys are actually teaching me so much! Love your videos. When I catchup to 'today' - wherever you may be (Bermuda, or still in quarantine), I'll try to write you something there. I'm part of your 'stay at home' crew. Thanks for the videos.
Another wonderful video. You are head and shoulders above most other sailing videographers. The way you share the long silent nights of sailing with no words, just the montage of sights and sounds. Keep it up. Thanks.
hi guys. awesome vid as usual. Just heard Brady say an historian believes this is the only pirate graveyard in the world. i know of another if anyone is interested. It's on the Isle of Portland in Dorset, England. Skull and crossbones on the headstones.very worth a visit. Cheers guys. keep on sailing.
I've watched hundreds of cruiser vids and I am "totally" drawn to Delos. The BBK team is so diverse and dynamic I don't think anyone could be better! I hope to sail with them one day! Peace Out! Luv U guys (And gals) Ü
what I've read is captain kidd was tried and hanged in london, supposedly he wrote letters from newgate prison (located in london) to the king for a pardon right before his trial and execution. and a few of the suspected burial sites of his treasure are right here in my home town area, the coast of connecticut
I love the strategic planning you show when stormy weather is coming and what you do to counter mother nature. Nicely done. Beautiful scenery. Pirate Island segment was so cool and who doesn't love whale breaching video shots!
Soooo cool!!! To think of the people that stood where you stood. Especially atop that hill at the cemetery. So much history. Incredible as always!! Mad love y'all!!
the heart of the sea is is felt in every breeze. the ocean links us together like a never ending chain of peace. from point A to point B we sale the 7 seas and through each passage we become one with the sea through each passage we find inner peace
Haha ok so at around 9:15 the tomb stone in French reads: "In the memory of Jean-Marie Le Thomas, Navy 1st Master, Commander of the ship "LA LEVRETTE" deceased in Sainte-Marie on 10-May-1875". Just for the records "levrette" means Doggystyle!! Awesome vid as usual guys, hope you'll meet up with Basta Lion while in Mada!
Interesting and funny too! Have to clear my browser history now ;-) How did they came up with this name! Here some additional information about Le Thomas and the ship: www.belgian-navy.be/t750p75-corsaires-et-pirates
I've never sailed a day on my life. You guys have got me wanting to sale everything I own and buy me a sailed boat. Love watching the videos. Keep up the great work!!!
The time and effort that you guys/gals put into these vids is remarkable and truly appreciated.Hours of footage cut into 20-30 per ep, when watching seems like 5 mins and is like ugh, have to wait another week. Id like to start a rumour....Rumour has it a wedding on Delos? ;)
Everytime you eat tropical fruit save the seeds. To plant on a remote island, for the future sailors. A food garden would be ideal with taro and sweet potato too. Cover with scattered seaweed.
Your videos are freaking awesome! I’ve traveled all over the world but never via sailing and I’m too old now to ever be able to do it. If had to do all over again I would love to sail the world like you are!
Wow guys, the videography and editing on this vid realy tops it. I love the way you pan past objects in slow mo, and tie-in to the next sequence ...seemless! Exploring those sites must be realy awsome. Thanks for sharing these wonderful places with us. Cheers from🇨🇦
😥 You know you are old, when the young people on the video are watching, are amazed at seeing a typewriter in action. How else did they do their university papers, surely they didn't hand write them!
Can you guys tell us your names so the new subscribers know who everybody is? Always you have the best videos and the best conversations, and exploring all the islands is awesome to watch. We feel as though were right there with you. Ha, wish we were. Best of luck with the weather too. Love to see how you read the weather reports and charts too. Please keep that in the vids too. Thanks for some of the best vids I have ever seen. Cheers from Ohio.
Hi Guys, love the effort you guys put into the videos. Seems like you have stepped it up with the slow motion and close ups. I want to thank you for inspiring me to go out and purchase my own boat which i have now done.
Hi there guys. I was just thinking of you/your videos. And lo and behold "new video uploaded 7 minutes ago". Must be that special bond & love we all share. Greetings from San Tan Valley, Arizona ! :-)
I especially enjoy seeing the thought process explained, how and why you decide to change locations due to impending weather conditions. I makes us feel closer to like being there for sure. It caused me to bring up google earth and zoom in a bit and scan the area, kinda dumb on my part I guess but I sit here looked at the options and said "looks like the best plan" :)
The video and editing skills are really first class imo. So cool that after a year, and back on Madagascar, your in a totally different place with new adventures. Wish I was there.....
I appreciate the attention to detail Brian uses when planning the course. Moving Delos before the worst of the storm is a mark of a wise captain indeed.

so you are officially a pirate..in your DNA
Buy a boat!

David Welsh Fully concur in every way possible
Yes definitely ! Since this was filmed last summer I wish they would do a special with handful of videos !
David Welshi
David Welsh same here never get enough of Delos
I literally can't wait for my break at work everyday so I can watch an episode lol. I feel like I know Brian and Mr Brady and kazza!!
Hi Brian, Brady and Karin. Just to let you know we are NOT getting tired of the intro song Ramuknji by Onetox. Keep it because you have made it yours'e! I see every sailing UA-cam video series and without a doubt , Delos is the most entertaining of them all ! 😋 Thanks for sharing !
Adventure, Exploring, Culture, Fun, just never gets old on Delos, and the Pirate history lesson just pissed off Johnny Depp. This is what "Cool" is made from!

I reckon Delos alone has hugely expanded the cruising world with these!
Captain Kidd was hung at Execution Dock in Wapping, London. Theres a pub right next to it called 'the Captain Kidd'!
His body was placed in a cage and left to rot as a lesson. He was betrayed by the aristocracy in England for whom he worked as a privateer.
Wow when you said it's been a year sence you were in Madagascar I flipped ,Time really flies even when you are a passanger on the Delos train ! Thanks for the memories they are great.
Not to take away from any of the great previous episodes, but this has it all and a storm teaser.. Great....
Best Sailing Channel
Their best video yet. Love the inclusion of history and real places. This beats the heck out of any commercial programming.
You guys broke the mold years ago. If you put together a montage of video from all your adventures, I bet you could sell it to the Discovery channel or some other syndicate. Truly fun to watch.
Notice how the episodes are 22 minutes on average? Perfect for the 30 minute time slot on cable.
No because their caliber is way above discovery channel crap. They are on a whole other level of reality.
Nice little video illusion at 10:40.
The videos the crew of Delos make, just keep getting better and better.
Much love to Delos and her crew.
It isn't cool how much I like watching these videos.
Ha! Love the tree-swipe edit at 10:46! Thank you for posting yet another fun video! Greetings from NYC!
How does someone comment on a video six days before it's posted?
I agree that transition was done by a skilled editor... I love it when people know what they're doing!
Patrick Yglesias often patrons will get early access to the video.
As TheHeez mentions above, they often release videos a week early for those supporting through Patreon. In fact, I've already commented on next Friday's video and it's sweet! Def worth the small donation each month.

Good one. I'm getting over the loss, but God it was sweet to be young again.
Another wonderful video. You are head and shoulders above most other sailing videographers. The way you share the long silent nights of sailing with no words, just the montage of sights and sounds. Keep it up. Thanks.

Another epic adventure. Greatest cruising adventure videos of all time.
Love the edit at 10:46, split screen using the edge of the tree. Great job documenting and telling your story! And love the music too.
I've watched hundreds of cruiser vids and I am "totally" drawn to Delos. The BBK team is so diverse and dynamic I don't think anyone could be better! I hope to sail with them one day! Peace Out! Luv U guys (And gals) Ü
Wake and bake with Delos, cheers and happy Friday morning to all. A guy like Sergio is worth his weight in tasty buds. Peace from central California.
Great vid. Can't emphasize too much what smart, capable sailors you are. And fun to hang with every week.
Had me on esge there...... if that was north Queensland mangroves you'd be croc shit now.
Sunday morning and I'm two episodes behind. Great way to wake up. Think I'll wear my SV Delos shirt today.
Karen you are so great in so many ways.
Thanks to Delos Madagascar has become a dream destination for me....
what I've read is captain kidd was tried and hanged in london, supposedly he wrote letters from newgate prison (located in london) to the king for a pardon right before his trial and execution. and a few of the suspected burial sites of his treasure are right here in my home town area, the coast of connecticut

Oh what a perfect way to end the week! A good Delos video outside with a nice cup of coffee! Love you guys!
The time and effort that you guys/gals put into these vids is remarkable and truly appreciated.Hours of footage cut into 20-30 per ep, when watching seems like 5 mins and is like ugh, have to wait another week. Id like to start a rumour....Rumour has it a wedding on Delos? ;)

Just watch a doc. on Tas. very interesting place.. The Red water, French Cap.
😥 You know you are old, when the young people on the video are watching, are amazed at seeing a typewriter in action. How else did they do their university papers, surely they didn't hand write them!

Cliff hanger, The next one looks like trouble.. Delos is grounded, Oh my !!! their boat may have to be abandoned do to a ship wreck Delos ~~
The video and editing skills are really first class imo. So cool that after a year, and back on Madagascar, your in a totally different place with new adventures. Wish I was there.....
Stoked for new vid!! Was watching a bunch of old but new to me episodes. Great work gang!
I fail to understand how anyone would click the thumbs down for these videos!
Interesting "bushes" around Brady at 15ish minutes.. :D
It's just cassava - a starchy tuber.
ekner Leaf arrangement and shape are close, but not close enough. Surely if it was the real deal, Delos would know
we used to call it indiana ditch weed.
That WAS the pirates "treasure" lol
mandioca not marijuana!!!!
I always look forward to Friday mornings because of your videos!!! Great job!!!!
another good one. thanks. the pirate island tour was great.
They just keep getting better
I love Onetox. I love SV Delos. I'm building my sailboat. It will also be my home. I hope one day to cross with Delos at one of our oceans.
Man that's a clear image. What a badass camera.
Camilla is a beast on winch and seems competent
Great video as usual. Delos is still the best on You Tube.
This is, I think, my new favorite episode. Well done y'all!
A thousand thumbs up! Thanks from Charleston, SC
Y’all were in Madagascar a year ago? I’ve watched all the seasons up to this point and you rock climbed there a month or so ago. What did I miss?

Hello from southern Louisiana...
