Where is the Actual Sweet Spot on the Driver Face? Take the High Road!

- Since hollow metal woods emerged in the 1980s driver technology has been on a consistent march forward for decades.
And to such an extent that today it is a legitimate question where on the driver’s face it is best to hit a golf ball to hit the ball as far as you can.
So in this video we cover whether golfers can still simply assume that dead centre is the absolute ideal, if it's better to ‘miss’ high or low on the modern driver clubface and finally whether you should focus on a better strike or more swing speed when you are looking to hit that big drive!

Fantastic video. Very informative.
03:20. Is it correct to assume that although the carry is less on a low strike, the roll-out should be more because of the lower launch?
Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated 👍 Would say low launch an enemy in general when it comes to long distances. Can get a lot of roll potentially if the conditions are right of course but more often than not there’s likely to be something in the way. And if it’s rough the ball is going to nowhere far.
my driver misses are low center using a 3 3/4" tee. is it possible to make my driver hit in the upper center by changing shaft or head weight
It may do but would definitely suggest going for a driver fitting with a good fitter / coach who will be able to tell you based on your swing and launch monitor stats. The good ones will tell you when you don't need a new driver / shaft / head etc and just a change of technique so you may one of the lucky ones who can fix the issue for free! Good luck and let us know how you get on 👍
