He's still the starting safety. He's one of the best safeties in the Pac12. He's definitely up there for one of the best two-way players in the country. Racked up 200+ yards. He's a monster.
Utah only rushed 4 most of the game allowing maximum coverage in the secondary. That's why Wright didn't see more balls his direction. Utes were able to put decent pressure on Williams with just 4 but couldn't contain him completely...no one can.
USC would have won if they just didn't shy away from the run after first quarter. Once they feel pressure Riley puts the game on Caleb and become one dimensional on offense.
I feel like that’s been all year tho. Riley has been an Offensive heavy coach since OU with him and Caleb. Offense can only take you so far if your defense is allowing Utah who went into the game averaging 21ppg put 34 on you. And it’s not just Utah who’s put up numbers against them this year, Notre Dame 48, Arizona 41, Colorado 41, ASU 28, and San Jose State 28 points.
Sione Vaki was a safety until 3 weeks ago and he still played some safety
He’s a dawg, he’s stamped in our book!
Kind of like what Eric Weddle did for Utah back in the day - safety starts playing on offense and making plays there too.

Bryson Barnes was working at Lowe’s a few weeks ago 😂 What a DAWG
😂😂
Bryson Barnes was Utah’s 3rd string qb to start the year
Actually, he was
4th string.
Cam Rising
Brandon Rose
Nate Johnson
Bryson Barnes
Barnes grew up on a pig farm in Millard Utah, a town of about 1,000 people. A literal pig farmer beat the Hiesman Trophy winner😂
Vaki plays safety too
He’s tuff!

Defense is the only answer in winning it all
“Defense wins championships”
Go Utes!!!!
The fact that Utah won with the mixed match 2nd/ 3rd string and players that weren't even offense that they had playing both sides of the ball... SMH😅
