As a beginner to this hobby, it is great to pick up tips from the pro's like youself. by the way I am 70 and I am no to old to learn. Keep up the good work Woody.
Hi m8 I am now over 80 and on the brink of giving up turning and just doing a bit now and then I wish you well on your woodturning journey its a fantastic hobby I started at 11 years old so sawdust is in me blood now
Love your videos Woody because you have proven, there is no black magic or hundreds of pounds worth of equipment needed to make some great pens. Keep up the great work. All the best Tony
Just watched a couple of your videos Woody, and found them very informative and enjoyable to watch. Great to see someone making moulds without all the expensive equipment. Great idea with your scroll saw! Keep up the great work!
Very informative video and I greatly appreciate your postings. I just recently ordered some equipment (my wife calls them my toys) to do some casting myself. Thoroughly enjoy turning pens and I'm looking forward to taking it to the next level. Do be well and keep up the great work. Thanks again!!!!!
hiya mate, a heat gun or a hair dryer borrowed from the Mrs helps bring a lot of air bubbles to the surface by breaking the surface tension, it works well with epoxy aswel which is more viscous, not too long or hot though or it will set on the surface in seconds ;)
Woody sir I'm one of your fans from the "pens for troops" and Facebook, I know it you won't like it but I could watch, listen and learn from all of your video's so as the old great movies say "Carry on Recording".
Hi Roger hope your well me ol mate I could have stared in the old carry on film I was once a window cleaner and I have been a milkman oh I forgot and a taxi driver LOL
woody love the videos very detailed! you mentioned about making your own molds with silicone and something else. can you do a video on that or point me in right direction to read up on it? thanks and looking forward to more videos
Hi Todd I use silicone and corn flour there are loads of videos on here on how to make moulds with it but if you get stuck give me a shout as I am going to make some more ua-cam.com/video/50AkrE1s9Iw/v-deo.html
