@@jaroffireflies Definitely, I just feel better knowing about loading the dishwasher :D Thank you.
@@Shenanigans_Afoot great! Just make sure you have the dishwasher turned off so there aren’t any lights that turn in when you open it. Some dishwashers are like that, others it’s not a worry :)
@@jaroffireflies I'm a part of a Reformish community lol. We aren't too strict about some of that. I just personally want to do as much as I can during the conversion process to experience as much as I can.
@@Shenanigans_Afoot I think that’s great! I did a lot during my reform conversion process too, and didn’t stop after 😂
What was on the plate?
During the havdalah ceremony? A little wine we poured from the kiddush cup. I explain it all in my havdalah explanation video if you’d like to learn more: ua-cam.com/video/w74LbV5sQGM/v-deo.html
@@jaroffireflies it was the wax from the candle that I was confused about on the plate.
@@kristinesharp6286 ohhhhh that lol yes, we hold the candle over the plate so the drips get there and nowhere else. It builds up :) I pry it off once in a while
@@jaroffireflies the candle is larger and burns a fair amount of wax for even one ceremony. I had wondered if it was challah or grain or just the texture of the plate?. Better the plate than your nice wood table.
@@kristinesharp6286 it’s just old wax from previous havdalah ceremonies. The candle has multiple wicks, so it burns down very quickly.
do you celebrate Shabbat every week?
Absolutely! Every single week :) Its awesome!
I just found your channel. I've watched a few times now. I love it and I will be back. I have never commented on UA-cam before but I feel compelled right now. It makes me crazy watching all the water that is wasted. Is it written that you have to LEAVE THE WATER RUNNING???? Please, please try to conserve.
What is Motzei shabbat?
The night right after Shabbat ends
Do you and the children not go to church with your husband.
We are Jewish, none of us go to church. But no, generally we don’t go with him. Sometimes we do or some of us do.
Is there a reason why only your husband goes to service amd not everyone?
Besides the Covid... Women and kids typically don’t go to the evening service. Men are required to, but women and kids aren’t. I choose to stay home :)
Can I ask why does your husband the only one that goes to services? And not you all ?
I answer that in Monday's video so stay tuned!
my family is most likely not that unusual by dna for someone whos father was from the middle east , i am a mix of muslim and jew on my fathers side and my mother has some iberian jewish blood too , though actually i guess she does have muslim because she is the queens cousin and they both descend from mohammed , the prophet , i pwesonally just pray , too many religions on my dna family for me to choose just one , my legal name is layla because it is Jewish and muslim the angle layla had black wings and hair , i did have black hair now its salt and pepper , i think personally relifion gives people excuses ro hate and well, i do not want to or need to hate anyone i love all humans regardless of race colour creed or belief , live and let live , i wanted to learn and you are such an easy person to like and listen too , so i chose you , you are my first introduction to jewish way of being , i think considering my sefardic is on my x i guess by jewish law i am a jew , to me thats a race my religion is a disgussion between me and my creator , not via a book , we all must follow what is in our heart and since i was adopted , i wrote my story myself , i raised a good human in me and raised 6 loving kind accepting humans in my children , its a pleasure to learn at your hands , knowledge is a wonderful thing and race fades when you open your heart and learn who they actually are , shalom Hannah, this is mefacebook.com/Jitaamesuluma/, and you will see one of my best friends is a guy called andy silverman , yup he is a jew , kosher too but he is too autistic to teach me anything much about what it is to be a jew , i want to know , knowledge helps humans to accept each other , i do not judge people on how they worship we all follow the path our heart says is right for us unless we duck from a higher bein in fear , denial i often think is fear
btw i am also autistic , oh if you look at my pictures you will see the proof of jewish muslim and royal blood i come from the spencer family as in Diana spencer they have jewish blood , and indian from india , you can find proof i am part native american too , hence this name , it means wise eagle , i was gifted the name by an elder so its rightfully mine
i just googled to see if eating kosher you can have fish with cheese and you can , could add smoked fish to your pizza or even vegann sausages , i believe vegan is fine for you too , just thought to make it more intersting , just on occassin , i am a cook, i love to cook , you can add peppers and olives too
Why don’t you attend services with him? Why doesn’t he or your kids help you?
Your husband sounds sefardic or Israeli ...Thats definitely not Ashkenazi havadala. never mind, I listened to it more.. Sefardic
