Hey man, I remember. She failed completely about 50 meters from where I met you guys.. another fella stopped in a 4x4 and towed me home.. it was an absolute nightmare but grateful for good folk like yourself that stopped and helped out. Much appreciated 🍻
It's been ages since I looked at barra stuff. From your videos and a few others I learned how to do the turbo conversion on my ba wagon. It's been about a year now I suppose and it's still my daily. Fun to drive plus heaps of room in the back. The ba garret I got from gum tree with a chinese inter cooler for $120 is still spinning although some of the other bits cost me a bit more... cheers mate. I definately have you to thank.
That’s awesome!! Thank you, I really appreciate that! Hope it gives you years of reliable running. Mines about to hit its 4th year and still going strong
I'm pretty sure all motors had 1R rods throughout until 06 when they introduced the 3R rods anyway, so essentially its just built to BA standard and toned down a bit for the longevity of the NA box which is where i think the main differences are between the NAs and Ts, and I'm fairly positive that it's just an XR8 Box anyway.. but i could be wrong. im just making assumptions based on what i think makes sense for what Ford would have done, being everything's so interchangeable between models, too. I'd assume that's what was done. It's just a bell housing in the end, i would assume.
This is perfect. I want to turbo my bf xr6 but i wanted to do it properly. Valve springs, timing chain, oil pump gears, head/main studs. Its overkill but ive seen way too many mates destroy boxes and motors cus they just slap a turbo in. Good to know if its done well itll last ages
Great video. Good to see an update video on a +T conversion after good period of time to show the results. I’ve just completed adding the turbo set up to my BF XR6. Looking forward to getting it tuned and enjoying the extra power.
Good to see its's still going strong, your videos were a help when I did mine What's the check engine light on for, Anything to do with the turbo build ?
Cheers man, glad it was helpful. It keeps throwing a plug/coil harness code.. something I probably should change but it’s not missed a beat. Kinda got used to the light lol
Gday mate, I'm Al, I stopped to try and give you a hand on the Putty that day, glad to hear you got it sorted

No worries. Straight to the point content for the win. So many others waste time talking crap and title their videos falsely etc etc...
Awesome vids mate, getting straight to the point with all the info 👍
this was a great series matey
Cheers man, appreciate that 🍻
Id say do the service video mate, l learn a new thing every time l watch service videos
Motivation after watching your series, my fg na is getting a snail now💨
Awesome!!
Picked up my first barra last week. Im seriously considering doing a +T. Even here in NZ engines are pretty cheap.
Do it, you’ll love it
NA+T is getting pretty popular now. Valve springs and overboost seem to be the main problems.
