I can’t wait till you get to Zulu. You should use the method Ludi shows to get them in the 1460’s. Then conquer the horn, Arabia, and rebel convert to Zoro
I like such bizzare goals. The reason I started watching your A to Z campaigns was just because of that. They weren't regular campaigns, but something one wouldn't normally do.
This is one of my favorite A-Z episodes, the bad luck with England led to a tense war that felt surprisingly historical and the goal was an interesting one too.
Funny random facts: the FitzGerald family moved to Spain after England converted to protestantism and various rebellions failed to install a catholic state in Ireland, all of those with spanish support, the family ende becoming a millitary noble family in Spain and even in EU4 you can get general and admirals as Spain whose surname is FitzGerald
You forgot the island of Fernando Po, which is owned by Equatorial Guinea and is where their capital, Malabo, is located Edit: Appears you also missed some islands owned by Papua New Guinea (New Britain, New Ireland, and Bougainville)
Also "New Guinea" referes to the whole island, not only to the part, which is under control of Papua New Guinea. The western part of the island is calles "Western New Guinea" and is part of Indonesia. The islands New Britain, New Ireland and Bougainville are not part of the island of New Guinea, but are part of the nation of Papua New Guinea.
Hey man, I think he went thru enuf on this video and did a good job. Missing an island or 2 isn't really that big a deal, especially when it was fun to watch!
@@NickSmith-fe7lp i learned this very well when i went into battle with a much superior force vs. a 5 maneuver admiral and got owned my admiral was good too but only 1 manuever
As Kilwa, if you don't have it, do the Queen of Mercury Achievement where you need to own and core Zanzibar (birthplace of Freddie Mercury) and Thatta (bombay, which is where his parenst [IIRC] are from)
*happy Irish noises* Good job. It could have made sense to also conquer Nigeria as the largest Guinness brewery is located there. As for Kilwa, they are often the only African nation left after European colonialism, so consolidating East Africa and going to Europe could be fun.
Naval Warfare can be really fun. Also naval+expansion has a really nice policy with a big liberty desire reduction, perfect for colonial or heavy subjects game
Nice game. Good work.I honestly thought that's what happens to me when I overestimate my powers in this still overwhelming game. That they'd all come at you at once and chop you up. Playing for Ireland (specially if England is strong and not destroyed by, say, losing the Hundred Years War or the Civil War) is very difficult precisely because you have to realise yourself differently. Colonization is one of the few options, though honestly if you're colonizing Southeast Asia (the Moluccas and those little islands in Indonesia) it's awfully annoying to micromanage. If you're colonizing North America, it's rather boring. Honestly, there's not much money in it either. The problem is if Spain is too powerful. That's why in my game for Ireland, I eventually took the Spanish down. Now they're happy to give me a couple of colonies they've been laboriously building up. So I improved my game by colonizing West Africa and then making vassals out of those tribes. Now I'm planning to turn it into the New Roman Empire.
The island papua new guinnea is located on is called "new guinnea" so you shouldve taken the entire island and you also missed the island owned by equatorial guinnea
Kilwa is pain. Even if you conquer the region, or even all of southern Africa, you're going to be broke, drowning in inflation, and with painful units that can't fight anything. Since it happens to have a mission tree related to Persia - apparently Kilwa was, mythically, founded by a Persian from Shiraz - maybe form Persia as Kilwa? I know it'll take a while, but it'll be way more fun than playing in continental Africa.
The part from ~1:15 to ~1:50 where your head takes up half the screen is nice, but could we make it larger next time? And maybe swap the EU4 window to the bottom right small corner?
Yeah as Ireland if Meath doesn’t get released and you don’t get to Scotland before England does you’ll have a really hard time. It’s best to rush for Scotland as fast as possible
As Kilwa, earn the Queen Mercury achievement (own Thatta and Zanzibar) and convert to Zoroastrianism. For anyone who is wondering, Freddie Mercury was Zoroastrian.
Hawk, sorry to tell you but mission not done, that island next to a province named Cameroon is also part of Equatorial Guinea, actually their capital city is on that island 🤣
Challeneg for kilwa; as kilwa, own all the cores of every country with ‘wa’in it’s name, like malwa or Norway. Bonus challenge own every tags cores with ‘wa’ In its name (inc releasable like wales)
Idea for the Ming Episode: The challenge of the 3 Emperors Have the Mandate of Heaven Be HRE Emperor Conquer the Territory of the Roman Empire during it's greatest Extend
Since natives of meso/south America take the government of a coloniser that they border it is possible to get some of the unique governments like Norwegian monarchy and Kalmar union?
I think after one of the recent updates it became much harder to do an ireland game, i used to not have much trouble but i tried to do one recently and it went similar to your game and was way harder to beat up england than it was previously, so it might not be just the RNG and bad luck i think it could be harder now
You should get a "treaty port(basically a coastal province that belongs to trade company)" in China as Kilwa. Why? Well chinese explorer Zheng He went to many east african states and asked tributes for Yuan dynasty. Getting a treaty port in china would be the reverse of that.
Kilawa is a really funny nation to go colonial. Colonial nations in Africa are rare but having 2 colonial games in a row maybe is a bit to much. Instead I propose been an Easter plutocracy have most of the costal centers of trade in India and in kilwa home region and having a trade post there for maximum trade income.

All coastal provinces in Africa, as Kilwa tends to be quite L O N G
Maybe you can get the achievement, that will sure be fun ;)
Queen of Mercury achievement!
As Kilwa, Kill Awa
I can’t wait till you get to Zulu. You should use the method Ludi shows to get them in the 1460’s. Then conquer the horn, Arabia, and rebel convert to Zoro
OMG! I was cracking up on the Guinness thing. “I should just play Cities Skylines.” 😂
lmao yeah
That joke was too funny🤣

Global Naval Engagement is like combat width for ships. It determines how many ships can actively participate in the battle from your stack.
This. It's also why admiral movement pips are really good cause they increase the engagement width as well
@@NickSmith-fe7lp i learned this very well when i went into battle with a much superior force vs. a 5 maneuver admiral and got owned
my admiral was good too but only 1 manuever
26:17 did no one else notice France completely annihilating England?
My home!
Should have uploaded on feb 6th Hawk, its St Brigids day, the saint of Kildare! :)
Well it fits
...This challenge WOULD drive you to drink
The reasoning for this challenge is beyond me but i love it great vid
The spelling of Guinness is a bit like a plural of Guinnea, I believe was the joke.
As Kilwa, if you don't have it, do the Queen of Mercury Achievement where you need to own and core Zanzibar (birthplace of Freddie Mercury) and Thatta (bombay, which is where his parenst [IIRC] are from)
Damn, that last part where France destroys Britain feels satisfying
Wa was the name China called Japan before they called themselves Nihon and Kilwa sounds like Kill-Wa so as Kilwa conquer Japan.
It's a W for the goals but an L for abandoning France, the real MVP
*happy Irish noises*

Look at that chad France at the end having conquered all of England. *chuckles*

As kilwa, form venezuela
Damn France just annihilated Britain at the end.
Playing in East Africa is fun... so much gold to fund your expansion. And Kilwa has an Freddie Mercury-themed achievement to take Zanzibar and Thana.
The island papua new guinnea is located on is called "new guinnea" so you shouldve taken the entire island and you also missed the island owned by equatorial guinnea
I love how Peru wasn't even on the list of places guinea pigs live
Dude downsized his navy so hard his shirt lost color
I for one love seeing ridiculous ideas like this taken seriously.
Kilwa is pain. Even if you conquer the region, or even all of southern Africa, you're going to be broke, drowning in inflation, and with painful units that can't fight anything.

🙏pray for Red Hawk
Guinness is actually made of penguins, they boil them up and the white bits float to the top
As someone from kildare, you're saying it correctly
You forgot about the province of Rabaul, which is part of Papua New Guinea
1:05 Contemplating life choices XD
as Kilwa, conquer Persia for historical reasons I can't be bothered explaining
Guinness had hugely successful marketing campaigns in Nigeria were it's now considered part of there nationality and culture.
oh i like these ridiculous goals like "painting italy the colours of italian flag"
my man is doing an irish challenge as a country that is an anglo-norman lordship
its called an earldom for a reason
Always a joy to see you finding new ways to keep the game fresh.

French Guiana is sort of
I forgot Coastal Defense buildings existed in the game...
It is a guinnes world record for the most Guinne Jokes
Red hawk close up faccussy got me acting unwise

France went rampant ;)
Please, at the start of the Kiliwa video, give a screenshot of what France takes from Great Britain... It so rare to so an AI occupy GB fully...
As an Irish man, jesus that word association
as Kilwa which is known for trading, conquer every center of trade bordering the indian ocean :)
I prefer this City's Skylines than the other one you recently played
You can check the specific makeup of other nations' fleets in the ledger.
Hawk, sorry to tell you but mission not done, that island next to a province named Cameroon is also part of Equatorial Guinea, actually their capital city is on that island 🤣
This is the best intro ever. One like before the game is even unpaused.
Ej Guinea-Bissau! My home country! Never ever gets mentioned, so I am taking this as a W!
dude i return to your channel and you shocked me,finally got that camera lol good work
a video using a wig would be based
Challeneg for kilwa; as kilwa, own all the cores of every country with ‘wa’in it’s name, like malwa or Norway. Bonus challenge own every tags cores with ‘wa’ In its name (inc releasable like wales)
Or KIL Western Asia
That sounds really difficult...
Guinness pigs? Sounds like a curse word
Trying to fight big naval powers was so much easier once I learned naval rotations lol
By far the best episode in this series
As Kilwa, form Colonial Australia and have no other nations exist in the Australia or Oceania regions.
7:11 The Auld Alliance, my Scottish brotherens ✊
This should totally be a real achievement in eu4!
Guinness bear made out of guinea pigs... Yep, makes sense to me, yep.
Kilwa? Time to suzerain two of each kind of city state.
Wait, wrong game.
Great pronunciation effort RedHawk
Another day, another video from the Bond villain. What did you do to him? Haven't heard any news regarding 007 for over a year
As Kilwa become the "Golden Empire" by taking all gold mines in Africa
Goal failed you didn't colonize the island that is owned by Equatorial Guinea.
Idea for the Ming Episode:
The challenge of the 3 Emperors
Have the Mandate of Heaven
Be HRE Emperor
Conquer the Territory of the Roman Empire during it's greatest Extend
Since natives of meso/south America take the government of a coloniser that they border it is possible to get some of the unique governments like Norwegian monarchy and Kalmar union?
Don't worry man I'm from Kildare no one really minds about pronouncing things wrong, great to see a campaign in Kildare funny idea for a video.
As Kilwa conquer Oman's cores and convert all your provinces to Ibadi
I don't think you could make it without Naval & Maritime
I think after one of the recent updates it became much harder to do an ireland game, i used to not have much trouble but i tried to do one recently and it went similar to your game and was way harder to beat up england than it was previously, so it might not be just the RNG and bad luck i think it could be harder now
no worry hawk u literally pronounced every chinese name terribly in the manchu guide and me a chinese still loves u!
An Eu4 youtuber pronounced an Irish place name correctly (enough)! [Confetti]
You should get a "treaty port(basically a coastal province that belongs to trade company)" in China as Kilwa. Why? Well chinese explorer Zheng He went to many east african states and asked tributes for Yuan dynasty. Getting a treaty port in china would be the reverse of that.
I think I would've taken Expansion second and just hoped to take on England later in the run.
You kinda dropped the ball on New Guinea
iceland iceland iceland... we want iceland game
Very interesting campaign. Loved it!
That was the best intro ever!!!
Watching from Papua New Guinea, I can confirm we make Guinness out of guinea pigs
Which Munster is the cheese? Germany or Ireland?
As Kilwa, conquer Omans colonial empire, basically Kilwa, Oman, Baluchistan. Or conquer the whole coast of Africa
What is the mod that adds the continental shelf? It looks amazing!
You got Kildare right.
Praying hands emoji
Funny thing, I live in coounty Kildare 10 years already 😂 And yes, you say it properly, in English
You wasnt so bothered with pronunciation with your "Beluzeero" (bélo-ózero)
exciting vid as always, anyways
This was incomplete because you forgot Guyana which is another Guinea. Try this challenge again if you play another irish minor :D
Can you conquer all of Africa as Kilwa?
Are you going to try the EU4 expanded mod? It just updated and seems to have a lot of really cool stuff added
Kilwa with no DLC

Worst rng ever? More like a normal game for me.
