If you like tinkering with guns the hatfield is a good choice. I've had to make several adjustments to mine. But everytime it runs better and better. Nickels worth of advice. Take it apart. Clean, oil and use a file to smooth some of the rough/sharp edges. Do this after the warranty is expired aka 12 months
@@Schmidt973 I can't say... I just went through a couple larger size drills and then finished it off with it carbide Burr bit in my Dremel. I would say it's at least twice as large as before... I actually ended up removing all the material between the two small holes so now it's one large hole.
took mine dove hunting yesterday 9-3-22 and shot at a dove and it shot 1 time and didnt cycle the shot round out and later i had to take the gun apart just to get the shell out

Bought one 2 weeks ago... I drilled the gas ports larger so now it cycles light loads. 👍
How big did you drill the gas ports to make it cycle?

@@Schmidt973 I just took a picture of the gas port if you want to see it give me a email or cell number to send it to.
@@marcdominguez597 ???
@@marcdominguez597 that was a really stupid reply... What's the difference what I am when I do something and it works ??
Mine came with two (IDK they're calling, kinda a piston looking thing) but one is for light loads and the other is for heavy loads.
Try pushing the switch on the bottom of the receiver, not the chrome one on the side ,good shooting.
My Hatfield SAS works great with Federal
Will it cycle 7 1/2 shot
Mine does now after I drilled the gas ports larger
@@propdoctor21564 were are the gas ports? Been wanting to do that to mine
@@chrissutton8354 when you remove the barrel you will see them inside the barrel lug
@@propdoctor21564 thank you
Might as well have a pump lol
If you get it broke in they work nicely.
No volume!
