I lost it when Flats described the police arrival: AC is on, I am on the 3rd floor 'snoring sound' and a the same time Doomfist says "My ultimate is ready" 7:23
It’s a pretty common scam. The same thing happened to my grandfather. He got a call that I was locked up for drunk driving in Florida. Mind you at the time I was in Jersey and only had a permit. They asked him for 30,000 and he almost sent it but decided to call my mom before he did. She then made me call him and explain that I was not cuffed to a icu bed in Miami.
Scammers are legit terrible. The worst thing about them to me is that they pretend that they're doing you a service, that they're helping you, when they really just want to take your money by any means necessary. And they will scream and berate people in order to make them fearful. It's honestly horrible. My experience with scammers is they call and tell me my car warranty file is about to be closed.... I didn't have a license until a month ago, let alone a car.
It’s sad we gotta look out for our families like this I legit call my mom every time I hear of a new scam and tell her if you see this don’t click the link, if they call/text and ask you for personal/bank information it’s a scam. It’s avoided us a lot of issues
Same thing happened to my grandma. I was hung over as well. Only difference was that I was apparently in Mexican prison, and I live in Minnesota. And my grandma even called my parents and they said don't send the money. She sent it anyway. I told them that if I end up in a Mexican prison I probably deserve it and let me sit there.
Someone tried the same thing with my grandma. School had just gotten out and I was on the bus, so there was no way of contacting me at the time (I usually just turn my phone off so I don’t have to deal with it). When I got off the bus everything was a bit crazy. She didn’t really believe it, but she was in shambles nonetheless. Luckily it only took a few minute from there to get everything resolved.
Mom almost got scammed, someone called saying my brother was in jail and they needed bail money. Whichkindadidhappenfrequently, but thankfully this was on a night he actually stayed home.
Yep they tried to get my Grandparents once. Didn't work because they aren't called Grandma/Grandpa. So when when someone called asking Grandma for money they knew it wasnt me.

I don’t know what’s scarier the fact the the grandma almost fell for it or his mother 😂
The worst part is I know I'm dumb enough to fall for that shit once I go senile
