ERRATA: Though some C.A.T. boxes describe it as a "Cobra Command Weapon," others call it "A Crimson Guard Weapon," so it WAS designated as a Crimson Guard vehicle.
cool tanks very awesome video
if you are hooded cobra comander I am outback ;the kick ass survival tough guy
If you combine the 2009 Heatseek Missile Set with the red HISS Tank that came with the Target-exclusive 25th Anniversary battle set, you basically get a Modern era version of the S.M.S.
I did the same thing got the Target red HISS tank for a dollar at a flea market and the Heetseeker at Walmart on clearance for 7 bucks.
Don’t forget the Consumers Distributing exclusives!
Ah Sears. I havn't heard that name in a very long time.
skabcat242 as viewers know.. I’m still a Sears fan .. and they are trying to make a comeback in this Age Of Amazon. Www.sears.com .. in store they are selling toys again ... so who knows maybe GIJOE to Sears Exclusive May make a comeback?! But Mrs and I still shop there and save a lot .. so there is hope..
Sears still exists
This is a pretty cool HISS tank. It's interesting how in Devil's Due G. I. Joe vs Transformers crossover Optimus Prime was reformed into this look. I always wondered how could it be possible. I still am a bit confused how it could work. Awesome review!
"Floppy cannons" sounds like something you need a little blue pill for.
One of the best vintage figure reviewers on UA-cam.
Love the skits.
Rolling treads would've made the HISS the ultimate Joe Vehicle.
Great Review! It's cool to see these rare items covered so well. I love how the Convergence stuff is turning out.
Nice
I literally, did not know this toy existed, until Hoodie.
Thanx Man!
This was epic! You keep raising the bar setting new standards in your reviews. 👍👍
awesome video man, about to do a custom S.M.S. Sentry on mine!
I recall having the sears set as well as the green JOE one, but I also had the all black SMS... It was great for behind a regular HISS tank
There was the 2000 Blue Hiss (HISS III) with Mud on the Treads and Others not covered. A VERY well used mold.
Coolest Shirt Ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dam I want one....
Should have shown what the missile system looks like on the original HISS
I love the opening premice on this episode 😎
Awesome!!! Fun review and great Team work!
Besides Walmart releasing the Missile System from ROC line, the red Sentry was also re released in Target Ultimate Battle Pack with reissue MOBAT, blue Trubble Bubble, and a JUMP pack along with repaints of HISS Driver, Cobra Commander, Cobra Trooper, IG Destro as well as repainted Stalker, tan Steeler and Short Fuze.
I don't think the SMS was available in 1986 because I looked at the 1986 sears catalog didn't see it.
In the uk the missile system was known as the sas mobile missile system it was black and grey with grey camo rockets
Good to see the wife getting into the fun!
I remember there being a Red similar HISS tank with ASP and Crimson Guardsmen in Vemon vs Valor series sold at KBee toys.
Yep. I still have them.
Great video! I'm not sure that blueprint instruction reversal was an error. The way they have it would allow an assembler to see the steps on one side and the finished product on the other without constantly flipping the page over. Then flip them over only once and build/sticker the other vehicle. Efficiency by design?? Or it could just be a printing issue. Hmm...
So wich one was the night stinger with the cannons instead of missles?
Awesome stuff. I recently got myself the Hyena and Red Jackal to complete the full range of red shadow vehicles and figures, i'm just a few accessories short of 100% completion.
It's a shame that it was an exclusive, and to bad the cockpit was detailed a bit, maybe in black. I like that I came with the rocket system. I actually had that as a kid. I agree that the red could have been a darker to match with the CGs. Great review Hoodie! See you in the next one!
Go Sergeant Slaughtress! She's gonna Slaughterize Timmer!
Hey HCC 788, at least you still have all your COBRA figures! Lol. With that said, I remember seeing the red HISS tank once as a kid.
SLAUGHTRESS-IZE IT!!!!
Are you going to do a review about the Cobra stun?
You missed the blue hiss from 2000s
I hope before CC4 is over you review the C.A.T you got at Joe Con last year,I’ve been waiting patiently lol
"Yeah, that'll do!"lmao
I miss the sears catalog, as some of you may have done as a kid I would stare at all those toys and wish for what I could get for Christmas or my birthday. Heck you could circle what you liked in hopes that it just may show up under the tree.
Carl Beatty FYI.. we still have a Sears and K-Mart in Vero Beach Florida.. Sears is actually making a comeback www.sears.com .. Mrs and I save a lot with Shop Your Way Points .. they are selling toys again :)
Color change is always special. Even if it’s just Zandar.
I don't particularly like the red HISS, but I do think that missile system looks a lot more interesting in black and red.
Maybe the instructions and blue prints were on opposite pages so you could put them side by side.
Great review, this is a fun event, will Susan help to defeat timmer, stay tuned, same time same bat channel, oh wait wrong universe.
Pelt Timmer with cold stroopwaffles.
im looking for parts for the Hiss and the SMS
Maybe Cobra had early access to transparent aluminum.
Hey Bryan:
I first saw one of your videos pop up on my recommended feed a year ago and it completely rekindled my love for this brand, so much so that I am now an active collector!
It made me think too, y'know Hasbro has a crowd funded initiative called HasLabs where collectors can get a large scale, Premium format, Masterpiece item that has never been released. The Star Wars fans got a giant Jabba's sail barge, the Transformers fans are getting a giant transforming Unicron. Shouldn't we Joe fans get one too? But what hasn't been released before that would be awesome to get as a Premium piece? I was thinking "The Silent Castle" from Joe#21. What an awesome playset/diorama that would make to pose figure and recreate Joe #21. What are your thoughts or what would you rather see?
Maybe we can make some noise and get Hasbro's attention. You got my attention with these videos, maybe a coordinated message to Hasbro would get HasLabs to consider it!
Your friend,
Me
What the ASP twin towed guns system?
Someone please make her a Sagrette Slaughtress figure! I'd chip in!
Go team timmer
