I still remember when I started getting interest in the football and started watching this game, our team ranking was somewhere in between 160 to 180. Don’t remember the exact ranking but it was not even in top 150. Now it’s 93 in few years! Wow this is really impressive and proud moment. Way to go India! I still remember when I started getting interest in the football and started watching this game, our team ranking was somewhere in between 160 to 180. Don’t remember the exact ranking but it was not even in top 150. Now it’s 93 in few years! Wow this is really impressive and proud moment. Way to go India! I hope more people start taking interest and watch this game than cricket. This game is way better than cricket and almost whole world plays this.

If football has to grow in India then I'd say media will have a big role in this. Marketing will be the key factor. Clubs like Mohanbagan and East Bengal should advertise by their history and players like Chetri and Bhutia should advertise by their performance statistics. I League should become the 2nd division tournament with promotion and relegation system. ISL clubs should bring at least decent coaches from Europe. ISL Clubs should sign famous players who doesn't cost that much at twilight of their career to grab attention•
