My family and I have been to Portmeiron. It was disappointing, pretty but very small and limited.
I can see why you would feel that way. It was definitely smaller than I expected !
It's probably somewhere you could easily spend a morning or long afternoon, but there is a lovely Japanese garden at the back of Portmeirion, and one of the walks leads to the beach, so could easily extend to a day here. Depends what you like doing.
